A week passes by with Reinlas unconcious after the battle, the people are unsure of what the future will hold when the army came back the word spread of Reinlas being defeated and majorly injured in the fight not even news of what seemed to be Farenhale coming back helped improve morale as no one even knows how true it is even the people who were at the battlefield dont truly know what to believe. Linra has been keeping everything on track as best she can, Laraka dealing with the war front slowing Keireens advance considerably, Linra has also tried to calm the peoples fears but hasnt explained anything about Farenhale yet due to not wanting to give false hope through a dead man. Reinlas wakes up that morning he feels things are off and he can only see through one eye, he goes to touch his right eye to make sure hes not crazy but he cant as he tries to use his right arm.

"What the hell?" Reinlas says as he sits up and sees his right leg and arm are missing shocking him

"Others of the first help me! That was real!?" Reinlas shouts causing guards to run into the room

"King Reinlas! Please calm down!" The guards shout as they begin to use calming magic on him while also alerting Linra that Reinlas is awake

Linra teleports there and sends the guards out before hugging Reinlas.

"Reinlas you scared the shit out of us" Linra says as she uses her natural calming presence alongside calming magic to help Reinlas

"How the hell am I alive? More over how did we get back?" Reinlas asks as he continues to look at his leg and arm before scanning the right side of his face seeing his eye is compeltely gone

"I'll explain in a little bit its certainly a thing you wont believe especially right now. How do you feel?" Linra asks

"Pain though in places that no longer exist, I guess this is what others like Vernamai and Zytaira felt" Reinlas says

"I'd imagine so. I had Cykart make a metal arm and leg for you they look like they're apart of your armour so its an easier feeling for you" Linra says as she walks over to a chest and brings the arm and leg out of it then she walks back over laying them next to Reinlas

"Sadly we cant do anything for my eye" Reinlas says as he grabs the metal arm lifting it up to look at it

"The arm and leg arent made of Geirniam, Cykart is working on that but makign Geirniam into such a specific and harder to make thing is apparently harder, its not like making armour for an arm" Linra says

"It'll do" Reinlas says as he puts the arm to his shoulder and begins to use magic on it to attach it properly

After a few seconds Reinlas tries to move the fingers and makes them twitch he knows it will take a while before he can move it properly so he isnt annoyed that he can only make them twitch. Reinlas then grabs the leg and attaches it as well. Linra takes Reinlas's hand and helps him up and then holds him up as he begins to fall.

"Fuck, I feel so first damned weak" Reinlas says

"Its alright Reinlas" Linra says holding him up

Reinlas uses levitation on the metal leg to move it forward and plant it down well and puts his full weight on both legs. The repositioning allowed him to stay up and he moves forward dragging the metal leg as he doesnt have the fine tuned control over it yet.

"Better than nothing" Reinlas says

"Indeed" Linra says

Linra puts an eyepatch on Reinlas to cover the socket before Reinlas teleports down to the throne room with her knowing he would not make it down the stairs in his current state without floating or falling. Reinlas looks around and he senses Liara and Farenisle outside in the garden he begins to hobble his way to the garden. Farenisle and Liara sense him coming and look at him quickly speeding over and hugging him.

"We thought we lost you" Farenisle says

"Yeah, we didnt know what to think when you were brought back" Liara says

Reinlas hugs them with his one real hand and tries to move his metal arm to complete the hug but cant so he leaves it.

"Well I'm alive thankfully even with my injuries I'm not going anywhere" Reinlas says as he stops hugging them

"We're glad about that" Farenisle and Liara say

"How is the leg and arm?" Farenisle asks

"Pretty much useless right now but ill get the hang of them soon enough" Reinlas says

"Fair enough" Liara says

"it must be weird to only see out of one eye now huh?" Farenisle asks

"It certainly makes some things harder, aiming will be a bitch but Kylorn will be my other eye wherever he is" Reinlas says

"Kylorns blade was broken during the fight do you not remember?" Liara asks

"My memory is hazy to say the least, how broken was he?" Reinlas asks

"He is completely shattered the only fine part is the hilt which makes sense, hes still shattered no one wants to touch him right now given that you forged him and the fact he came to life at all was through you" Farenisle says

"Where are his shards?" Reinlas asks

"We soldiers have been scanning the battlefield around where he was shattered just to make sure none have been missed but all the ones currently found have been left in your forging area alongside the hilt" Liara says

"Alright, thanks you two" Reinlas says as he teleports to his forging area and he sees the shards, some are in bigger pieces than others

Reinlas hobbles over to where he keeps the old schematic for Kylorn and puts it on the table the shards are on. Reinlas levitates the shards and puts them together to see if its all the shards but the blade is incomplete.

"Shit, some shards remain unrecovered. I'll need to re-forge him as a shorter blade for now until the rest of the shards are found. I can only hope that if hes re-forged he will still be alive" Reinlas thinks to himself as he melts down the shards absorbing the remaining magic in them and storing them in his soul away from his natural magic

Hours pass as Reinlas re-forges Kylorn finding soem trouble with it due to his metal leg and arm but he perseveres with some helpful conjurations. Kylorn is re-forged but is more of a short sword than a normal sword, Reinlas channels the magic he took from the shards back into Kylorn.

"Please work" Reinlas says

Kylorn stays quiet but the magic hums inside him until a few minutes later Kylorn screams scaring the hell out of Reinlas causing him to drop kylorn on accident but quickly catches him.

"Kylorn calm down!" Reinlas says

"What happened!? What day is it?! Why am I shorter and in so much pain!?" Kylorn asks

Reinlas uses calming magic on him.

"Not the only one in pain there Kylorn, we lost our fight you were shattered and i lost parts of my body, well i guess you did too, we're searching for the last of your shards" Reinlas says

Kylorn calms down.

"I dont normally feel pain, this is odd" Kylorn says

"When we get your remaining shards maybe the pain will be gone" Reinlas says

"Are you gonna help search?" Kylorn asks

"I will when i have better control of my new limbs, i need you more than ever Kylorn so when i can I will search for the shards" Reinlas says

"Thanks" Kylorn says

Reinlas sheathes Kylorn and teleports to the throne room once again but when he gets there Farenhale is standing there, this throws Reinlas and Kylorn off and Reinlas immediately draws Kylorn from his scabbard. Farenhale looks at Reinlas.

"Brother calm down" Farenhale says

"You cant be Farenhale, drop your act NOW!" Reinlas shouts as hsi eye turns black

Reinlas's right eye socket starts to hurt and he takes the eye patch off and can see as normal which confuses him but his anger overrides his confusion as he stares down Farenhale. Farenhale starts at Reinlas's right eye socket and he sees a new eye there but not a natural one its one made of shadows.

"Reinlas you have a shadow eye, calm down we nee-" Farenhale gets cut off

"Shut up!" Reinlas shouts with a slightly demonic voice

Linra runs into the room and sees whats happening and she walks over and puts her hand on Reinlas's shoulder.

"Reinlas calm down, its confused us all but it is farenhale that stands before us though hes not really alive either hes in sort of a middle ground" Linra says

Farenhale uses magic to show Reinlas his soul its a combination of three souls the shards of Farenhales original soul linked together in the merging process. Reinlas sees this and starts to calm down and scans Farenhale finally accepting it.

"War beast souls right?" Reinlas asks

"Indeed, from Kytal, Syremai and Dykrama, they have bigger shards of my original soul so it is a little easier using them to return" Farenhale says

Reinlas sheathes Kylorn and holds his hand infront of his right eye socket.

"This is... odd" Reinlas says as his real eye returns to normal and the shadow eye disappears, Reinlas then puts the eyepatch on again

"It is good to see you again Reinlas even in our terrible states" Farenhale says

"Indeed it is" Reinlas says as he hugs Farenhale

"Look at us, two brothers one dead and one very injured, we are a hell of a pair" Farenhale says returning the hug

Reinlas hobbles over to his throne and sits down and looks at Farenhale.

"I vaguely remember seeing you a week ago when i was dying, I wrote it off as my dying brain using magic to comfort me or hell maybe even the afterlife if there is one. Now I know you actually did come back and save me" Reinlas says

"Indeed" Farenhale says

"How does this even work if you even know?" Reinlas asks

"Ive been looking into it, i cant exactly stay around for too long especially if i use a great deal of magic not without using some other war beasts. The peices of my soul used to make them of coarse are what makes this in anyway possible but the other factor is their magic merging their souls together their magic combines, of coarse tykema are the only ones that can use magic but the other races much liek our own still have it but not the way to use it. Well Hykra are a weird outlier with the screech its magical in nature but able to be done physically with no magic used, chalk it up to Keireen and his bastard friends fucking with nature. Anyway their magic is what brings my consciousness back to inhabit the combined soul then i use their magic as my own which is temporarily increased to match my original amount of magic through it makes the war beasts I'm using unable to use magic for a while though they dont seem to mind given they have physical abilities to use in their magical stead," Farenhale says

"Alright, it will take me time to process all that still processing a lot" Reinlas says

"Believe me I understand that Reinlas, ive been dead for a long time, ive been finding out about so much thats happened in the time between my death and now. The shadows, the war the new magics discovered over the course of the war if the overbearing fact I'm dead wasnt keeping me down id be more than enthusiastic about finding out more" Farenhale says

"I'm sure you've found out but when you died I compeltely lost it Farenhale, I didnt harm anyone that didnt deserve it but I could have and it would have been my fault even if the shadows were in control" Reinlas says

"Reinlas, I would have done the same and I dont even need to imagine that possibility time magic is a great and terrible thing since ive come back ive seen some things including differences in timelines but to get to my point if the roles had been reversed I would have done the same eventually ending up with injuries similar to yours and you standing here a living dead man" Farenhale says

"Fucking time magic" Reinlas says

"It is a headache brother" Farenhale says

"Speaking of time magic, a week ago Gheranto and Itimkrata were killed with the help of a time mage from Keireens kingdom after the battle she was promptly captured easily due to Farenhale knocking her out" Linra says

"Has she spoken about it?" Reinlas asks

"Yes, she knew it would bring back Farenhale through her look into the timeline so she took the chance to sacrifice Gheranto and Itimkrata for what she believed to be a quicker end to the war" Linra says

"Someone bring Villamire here, she could hopefully verify that" Reinlas says

"We already did, she confirmed it. Though I could have also done it Linra did not want me using all the war beasts magic yet so that i may speak with you" Farenhale says

"Fair enough, is the time mage within the fake prison or the real one?" Reinlas asks

"The fake one, she never wanted to help Keireen and never would without a greater reason, she also confirmed he no longer has any time mages apparently the others killed themselves due to not having magic at the time to see why Ratankira was coming for them" Linra says

"Why is that?" Reinlas asks confused

"Turns out they made quite a business of showing people the future while she did not, takes up a lot of magic when so many people want to know how things end" Linra says

"Oh, I guess that makes sense then" Reinlas says

Reinlas looks at Farenhale and gets up.

"Farenhale we should talk on the docks, i think we both may need to area to Reminisce on much better events than the obvious ones for both of us" Reinlas says

"That sounds like a great idea R-" Farenhale gets cut off by a soldier running in through the throne room door and collapsing to the ground coughing

"The hell? Soldier are you alright?" Reinlas asks

"Help.. me.." The soldier says as he lets out a blood-curdling scream

Guards as well as Linra begin to heal the soldier but it seems to do nothing and after ten minutes of screaming from the soldier they begins to decay while alive shocking everyone and moving back. Everyone begisn to hear more screaming in the distance and Reinlas quickly teleports outside of the castle and looks across the city where it doesnt take him long to see the dying spreading this death....
