In the following hours after Larakas daring raid against Keireen to rescue his soldiers Reinlas teleports to Renamerima castle which is still damaged and vulnerable from the attack in the first place. Reinlas walks through the army of healers and injured elite soldiers with concern adorning his face, Reinlas looks around and sees some of the soldiers he knows and then in the distance Laraka with two conjurations of himself and two healers that are focussing their efforts on Uniera and Zytaira. Reinlas walks over.

"Laraka I want an explanation. Now" Reinlas says

Laraka an his two conjurations look at Reinlas the same eyes as during the raid burning red still.

"During the week I stayed in Reinholm castle Renamerima castle was attacked, almost everyone was taken save for a small group who needed new limbs. I... risked a raid to get them back" Laraka says with a sigh

Reinlas sighs as well.

"Laraka that was an idiotic move, good intentions yes but you could have just gotten all of you killrd or captured" Reinlas says

"I never would have been captured, im far too good at fighting" The demonic conjuration of Laraka says his red eyes burning brighter

Reinlas looks at the demonic conjuration with slight confusion on his face then at the other conjuration.

"Eh, I agree I never would have been caught sure some of the other yeah but me? Impossible" The normal conjuration says with his right eye burning bright

Laraka facepalms and sighs with annoyance.

"Alright away you two go" Laraka says as he de-conjures them but his left eye stays a burning red

"Laraka what the fuck?" Reinlas says very confused

Laraka sighs.

"I will explain just not right now, theres so much more to worry about" Laraka says

"Hey dont stop on my account" Zytaira says on the floor but groans when she moves her arm

"Zytaira please be quiet and dont move, you are still healing, so stop interfering with it and annoying the healer" Laraka says to her

"Thank you" The healer for Zytaira says with some annoyance in their voice

Reinlas looks at them then back at Laraka.

"Laraka you made one hell of a leap of faith in going after them the way you did, granted it worked surprisingly well but I can't have you doing that without informing me. Why didn't you inform me?" Reinlas asks

"It was an in the moment decision, the elites are a brotherhood, sisterhood ah fuck it whatever but we are in this together I care about them too much to have let it go on a second too long, in hindsight I could have used telepathy but my mind was not in the right place to even think of using it" Laraka says

Reinlas sighs.

"Laraka you dont usually make these kind of decisions without thinking them out first hell we took a week devising a plan and subsequent back up plans for the mountain range attack which I guess will need to change now because of this" Reinlas says

"My king I understand your frustration with this and probable concern-" Laraka gets cut off

"I am very concerned especially for you, seriously what made you go off like that?" Reinlas asks

"The two conjurations earlier and this eye of mine, have everything to do with it" Laraka says as he points at his red eye

"Please enlighten me" Reinlas says

"It will be easier if you make a mental version of yourself to put in my mind" Laraka says

"Ok fine" Reinlas says

Reinlas channels his magic with a small bit of his consciousness into Larakas head. A mental version of Reinlas appears in Larakas head, as he looks around he sees the landscape of the mind rather empty like it usually is but he sees mental Laraka and three more.

"What the fuck?" Mental reinlas questions confused

Mental Laraka looks over.

"To explain as much as I can, everyone has a mental version of themselves naturally in their head that one cant leave their head as you know thats why we have to make another to put in another persons head. My mind works slightly different, when I appeared I didnt have just a mental version of myself, I also had spectral over there" Mental Laraka says

Reinlas looks over and sees spectral Laraka unconcious.

"Why is he knocked out?" Mental Reinlas asks

"Its how one of us gets in control usually we work together, its different for the others though" Mental Laraka says

"Ok" Mental Reinlas says

"Anyway, I represent and control the more caring part of myself and I dont fight as much without a reason to care much, spectral? He is aggressive very angry and loves a good fight" Mental Laraka says

"I'll take it, you made the rash decision to go fight and he then took over?" Mental Reinlas asks

"Indeed, you'll usually know if I'm in control because my body will have a red left eye, spectral has a red right eye, and any others our body shifts to match how they look" Mental Laraka says

"What is up with the others?" Mental Reinlas asks

Mental Laraka points over at the demonic version of himself.

"We just call him battle demon, hes almost like spectral but he has a bloodlust and doesnt really care about anything except fighting, at least spectral has other things to care about" Mental Laraka says

"Ok, now whos the other one?" Mental Reinlas asks

Mental Reinlas points at a new Laraka.

"He's... still being made, the way this works is when something substantial happens in my life be it a failure something successful or what have you or even something I blame myself for way too much a new one of us is made to go with that, so hes still being made. Ill take a guess and say he'll represent our failure to protect our people in Renamerima castle" Mental Laraka says

"Ok, I noticed they were conjurations earlier, whats the explanation for that?" Mental Reinlas asks

"Oh thats simple, since all of us are also connected to the soul like everyones minds are for magic purposes, the others can be put into conjurations of themselves, I cant because I am mental, I can only stay here spectral cant be gone long though sicne hes my other half" Mental Laraka says

"Oh, fair enough. Why didn't I know about this sooner?" Mental Reinlas asks

"Well it wasnt important and didnt have any bearing on what I had done before, usually me and spectral work together and we dont usually take over so it didn't seem needed to tell you plus its a weird thing to talk about" Mental Laraka says

"Alright, I'm going to leave now thanks for explaining this" Mental Reinlas says

"No problem" Mental Laraka says

Reinlas absorbs the mental Reinlas from Larakas head and looks at Laraka.

"Now that that's out of the way, we need to decide on what to do against the mountain range" Reinlas says

"Well the elites arent going to be there if we attack too soon but that may be the best option, they are out of their defensive positions because of my raid on their prison, we can take out a lot of them if you attack quickly" Laraka says

"Well we'll take out the outer defenders but the buildings past all the other defences will be packed to the brim" Reinlas says

"But we'll be on even footing, with the barriers up there will be no magic at all" Laraka says

"Indeed, alright I'll get the army mobilised and teleported as close as we can get" Reinlas says as he teleports back to Reinholm

Within hours he's called the normal army together and Laraka teleports to him his eyes back to normal.

"My soldiers can't fight but I can" Laraka says

Reinlas nods and everyone starts teleporting or teleporting others as close to the mountain range as they can get. Keireens forces see them, those outside the barrier at the area Laraka attacked panic and quickly fire on them with every arrow they can muster and with multiple magics. Soldiers at the front of Reinlas's army quickly hold up shields infront of them and mages put up barriers above the army to protect them from the arrows that were launched higher.

"Attack them quickly!" Reinlas shouts

Soldiers with shields quickly run forward towards the enemy soldiers blocking arrow shots as they go, Reinlas sees inside the barrier around the mountain range area more forces incoming. Reinlas quickly orders non magic soldiers to attack the enemy forces inside the barrier and mages attack the ones outside as he draws Kylorn and speeds towards the enemy outside the barrier cutting through them quickly. Reinlas gets showered with arrows but he is protected well by his armour and uses some magic to shoot the arrows back taking out a few soldiers whos arrows came back to stab them in the face. Other mages speed over with Laraka to help Reinlas fight. After a few minutes this skirmish outside the barrier ends with the mages run past the barrier to help the others, Larakas eyes turn red as he lets the battle demon take over and his body shifts to match the demons appearance as he flies past the barrier.

"Goodbye for now Kylorn" Reinlas says

"My mind will return" Kylorn says

"I know" Reinlas says as he walks past the barrier kylorns blade falls silent and cold as Reinlas begins to run over to where the rest of his army is

The battle is fierce, no magic has made everyone more confident about the coarse of the battle, arrows flying everywhere, the endless clanging of metal against metal. Reinlas runs in blocking the attack against one soldiers so they survive and he quickly pushes the enemy soldier back and drives Kylorn through their chest. Reinlas sees Laraka tearing his way through the enemy swords in his hands and battle-axes in his wings grasp. After about an hour the battle ends.

"I want their prison used as a forward base, bring the injured there so they can be healed outside the barrier!" Reinlas shouts

"As you wish!" Soldiers shout quickly grabbing injured soldiers both on their side and on Keireens side then take them to the prison Laraka took

"Everyone else! Come with me!" Reinlas shouts as he starts to walk up the mountain range passages

Reinlas is quickly followed and Laraka walks next to him. They both look around knowing full well how easily they could be attacked or taken out by traps. Larakas wing is put infront of Reinlas stopping hsi advance, Reinlas gets down to see whats infront of him and theres a small metallic object just protruding from the ground. Reinlas grabs a small dagger and throws it onto the ground infront of him with the object quickly shooting up out of the ground and then burning hot.

"Back!" Reinlas shouts as everyone including himself moves back

The object explodes.

"Seems they only have the barrier on the surface or maybe jsut enough below the ground that they can have magic underneath for these traps" Reinlas says

"Seems so" Laraka says as he begins to walk again with Reinlas and the army

They all make their way through the mountain range paths avoiding mroe traps or even gettign surprised by some injuring or straight up killing soldiers. The injured ones are taken back to the forward base for healing. Reinlas stops and everyone else does.

"Laraka, up there are watch towers can you fly up and take them out?" Reinlas asks

"Easily" Laraka says with a smirk as he flaps his wings and flies up to the first watch tower and breaks through the door slaughtering everyone inside

Laraka grabs a couple tower shields and hsi wings take his blades as he heads towards the next few towers letting arrows hit his shields as hsi wings tear people up with hsi blades. Laraka flies back down after finishing them off.

"Its clear though we shoudl watch out for the patrols to not get surprised" Laraka says

"Indeed" Reinlas says as he looks back at some soldiers

"Anyone have rope?" Reinlas asks

"Yes king Reinlas, what do you need it for?" The soldier asks as he gives him the rope

"Simple, we're expanding out control here" Reinlas says as he bends a swords blade into a more hook shape as he ties the rope onto it he then throws the blade up the mountain side to as close to the watch tower he can

"Some of you climb up this make shift access point to the watch towers" Reinlas says

The soldiers nod and begin to climb though carefully as they know the rope and bent sword are not the best. Reinlas and the rest move on as the watch towers fall under their command. Reinlas hears the roars unmistakably that of dragons.

"The reports weren't wrong" Reinlas says with a sigh

"I had hoped they would but fi I get a fight out of it, it will be fun" Laraka says with a smirk

"No Laraka, they were shackled by Keireens forces, we will free them, if it bites us in the ass later well we still did good" Reinlas says

"Everyone stay here!" Reinlas shouts to his troops as he moves forward and looks around a corner seeing the shackled dragons they are easily big as houses

Reinlas holds onto Kylorns hilt and runs around the corner covering his face with hsi gauntlet as the dragons roar and start to breathe ice and lightning towards him. The freezing cold from one dragon felt bad because of the armour but the quick searing heat and electricity from the lightning combined puts Reinlas is a lot of pain but he keeps trying to power through but as he gets close to the chains one dragon takes a swipe at him.

"Stop! I'm trying to help!" Reinlas shouts but the dragons dont believe him and keep breathing lightning and ice at him and take swipes at him which he dodges as best he can

Reinlas dodges another hit as he gets zapped and frozen more but then he brings Kylorn up and slams his blade down on the chains breaking them and freeing the dragons from where they were forced to stand. The dragons instantly stop attacking realising he was telling the truth, Reinlas falls to one knee and Kylorns blade stabs into the ground keeping him up.

"Fuck that hurts so much more when theres two" Reinlas thinks to himself

The dragons bring their heads close to him to check on him. Reinlas gets up and looks at them.

"I'm better than most would be in your situation plus I'm a bit used to dragons breath" Reinlas says with a pained groan

"Why free us?" The lightning dragon asks

"The ones that shackled you I fight against, their leader is a horrible man that must be put down, you two were unfairly shackled I would not stand for that, now fly away far from here" Reinlas says

The dragons look at eachother and take off flying away. Reinlas then walks back to Laraka and the others.

"Lets get going!" Reinlas shouts as he turns back around and walks towards where he freed the dragons and past it

Reinlas looks around and sees the fortresses they need to take just past some mountains after some hours of dodging traps and fighting patrols they eventually see the fortresses standing infront of them just a bit further away. They are far enough to not get attacked yet. Reinlas sees where the barrier mages likely are but then sees some hurt Keireen soldiers seemingly in a lot of pain.

"Probably poison claws, though we havent run into any, hmm wonder whats wrong with them" Reinlas says to himself but quickly drops the train of thought because hes going to fight them and their allies

One relatively young soldier just a few hundred years old steps forward looking at the same soldiers Reinlas was looking at.

"They're erratics" The soldier says

"Excuse me?" Reinlas says

"Sorry my king but I saw who you were looking at and they are certainly not normal, non of us may be able to scan them but I know they have erratic magic and are not normal" The soldier says

"Sure they may have erratic magic but no need to say they arent normal that would likely be offensive to erratic magic users" Reinlas says

"Thats not what I mean, I have erratic magic, they have it too but the way they seem to be feeling... thats hwo erratic magic users feel when they are children and are not used to the pain of a crack or if you rather tear in the soul" The soldier says

Reinlas looks at him confused.

"Name and keep explaining" Reinlas says

"My name is Xankan, my father was Gragnior. And as for an explanation if they are not used to that pain then they only recently got a tear in their soul, it is possible though most soul things kill the souls owner so if they did get it recently they are lucky to have survived" Xankan says

Reinlas looks at the Keireen soldiers.

"Keireen you idiotic son of a- sorry thats an insult to Yaitera" Reinlas says to himself in anger

Laraka walks over.

"Should we start our attack?" Laraka asks

"Yes just take out the ones in pain if you can at any point, I'll feel bad about it but if xankan here is right then they need to be taken out" Reinlas says

"Right" Laraka says

Reinlas looks back at everyone.

"Theses three fortresses! Split into 3 forces and attack all 3 simultaneously! Laraka you lead two of them with your wings you can get between both easily!" Reinlas shouts

"I will do so" Laraka says with a smirk and both eyes burning red

"THEN LETS MOVE!" Reinlas shouts as he begisn to run towards the middle fortress, everyone quickly starts to run with him splitting into three siege forces

Everyone runs forward with shields above their heads or with their arms covering their faces if they have strong enough armour as arrows rain down seemingly infinitely from mountain tops, fortress walls or watch towers. A lot of soldiers get pierced in their armour or their shields break from too much continued damage which lead to their armour getting pierced killing or severly injuring them. Laraka flies up onto the walls of the fortress he headed to and begins to attack the archers, as he tears through them he sees the other fortresses seem to be having a bad time. Reinlas and his soldiers and the ones at the other fortress and beyond pinned down Reinlas makes a rush for the gate and crashes through definitely breaking his right arm and shattering the shoulder from it causing him to let out a yell of pain, thanks to his armour and strength the gate now has a whole in it allowing soldiers to pour through and start taking the fortress. Some soldiers run over and grab reinlas using their shields to bring him to a place with cover.

"King Reinlas are you alright!?" The soldiers ask in a panic and worried tone

"No I'm not alright! Just keep fucking fighting!" Reinlas shouts as he clutches his shoulder in pain

The soldiers don't want to leave but follow their orders and run off to fight. Reinlas leans against a wall and brings hsi knees up putting his right broken arm against them and grabs a couple daggers and puts them into the armour joints locking them in place then he gets up.

"No sling but this works well enough" Reinlas says as he moves his torso and his arm stays locked in position resting as if in a sling and he grabs Kylorn in his left hand and starts to go fight

Reinlas runs into the fight and slashes across one soldiers neck and one soldier runs over to attack but reinlas blocks them and kicks them but they hit his injured arm sending a jolt of pain through his body and he quickly stabs them in the neck. Laraka flies over and kills a bunch of soldiers around Reinlas and he looks at Reinlas's arm.

"Yikes, that gate really hurt huh?" Laraka asks

"Oh shut up and go help the other fortress" Reinlas says

"Right" Laraka says and flies to the next fortress and blows the door open with a bomb he acquires from one person on top of the fortress walls

Reinlas keeps fighting and sees a room labelled barrier mages and he runs in after kicking the door down. The barrier mages are completely focussing on the barrier so Reinlas walks over and knocks them out. The barrier shrinks but it still encompasses the three fortresses.

"Oh for fucksake" Reinlas says as her walks out and stabs someone through the back of their neck

One of the barrier mages pretended to be knocked out and he gets up runs over quickly with the element of surprise breaks Reinlas's left leg causing him to shout in pain and turn Kylorn around to stab through the barrier mages chest and falls to the ground but pulls himself over to a wall leaning against it.

"Fuck!" Reinlas shouts

Laraka flies back over and grabs Reinlas flying him to the place with cover again.

"What should we do?" Laraka asks

"Keep to the plan, take out the erratics and also take out the damn barrier mages" Reinlas says

"Right" Laraka says as flies to his original fortress to start killing barrier mages

As he flies over to the fortress his wing get hit with a ballista bolt causing him to crash to the ground in pain

"FUCK!" Laraka shouts in pain but anger quickly replaces it and he sees the one who had the ballista whos quickly tryign to adjust the aim and reload it

Laraka rushes forward as fast as he can and cuts their head off but laraka sees the room with the barrier mages in it so he adjusts the aim of the ballista everyones fighting is in the way.

"MOVE IF YOU WANNA LIVE!" Laraka shouts then everyone looks over and immediately duck as the ballista fires it crashes through the wall and impales on of the mages

Laraka rushes over and quickly kills the other mages and when he does the barrier shrinks till its just around the final fortress within an instant the battlefields are lit up with fire, lightning and every type of manage one can muster. But the erratics lose control and everything goes to hell as storms role in striking people with lightning so bad it dusts them. Reinlas feels hsi magic return and takes the daggers out his armour and starts healing but he looks over at xankan.

"Xankan!" Reinlas shouts causing Xankan to run over

"What is it my king?" Xankan asks

"You have erratic magic correct? Scan the erratics and tell me please if you can take them" Reinlas says

Xankan seems very confused but scans the erratics seeing that their souls only have a tiny crack in them compared to his and he looks at Reinlas.

"I can take them, their magic isnt that erratic probably the only reason they didn't die, dont worry King Reinlas, I got this" Xankan says as hsi eyes light on fire and lightning and fire coarse through his body as he speeds towards the nearest erratic magic user

Xankan punches them and the lightning and fire combined explode in their face explode Xankan flies up and over to where there are mroe erratics and he looks at them.

"Your souls were forced to be like this by keireens order, see a true erratic!" Xankan shouts as the storm clouds swirl around him and the lightning gets shot out at them hundreds of times

Xankan crashes down to the ground like another lightning bolt cracking the ground open with lava quickly coming up killing some of the erratics not expecting it. Xankan quickly forces parts of the ground up as rock walls and they crush the other erratics legs giving them enough pain combined with erratic pain to knock them out.

"Yes! Fuck you!" Xankan shouts then laughs but his laughing quickly turns to a scream as his eyes bleed and body erupts in pain

"FUCK!" Xankan shouts in pain as he quickly extinguishes his eyes and the ground fixes itself, the clouds dissipate and he falls unconcious

Keireens soldiers all suddenly surrender. Reinlas seems very confused.

"Why are you all surrendering?" Reinlas asks

"The erratic magic users were our leaders here" One soldier says

The barrier drops around the final fortress.

"They were not in that fortress today all here or the third one" The same soldier says

"Oh, thank the others of the first, someone go help xankan!" Reinlas shouts and a soldier runs out to go help him

The two dragons from before land on top of the fortress they are at and roar in victory with them.

"We actually won, I'm going to rest" Reinlas says as he teleports home leaving everyone to rest and defend the surrounding area from counter attacks

"Keireen made more erratic magic users, did he make more?" Reinlas asks himself unaware of the screaming and strong magic comign from Keireens dungeons...
