Reinlas woke the next morning and went to Cykarts blacksmith shop he heard Cykart in there, he was selling a customer something and from the sound of it it was some manner of armor and the man came out with the armor on and Cykart is behind him.
"Oh my king I had not noticed you there come in" Cykart says
"Hello Cykart It is great to see you are you well?" Reinlas asks walking in
"Aye I'm fine in fact since I made that armor of yours alongside you so long ago business has been getting better and better" Cykart says with a smile on his face
"I am glad to hear it Cykart" Reinlas says
"Anyway enough about me, what can I do for you King Reinlas?" Cykart asks
"You've made all manner of blade of the years but I require one more powerful than all others I mainly need to know the best ways of forging this blade especially if I'm to make it from Geirniam" Reinlas says
"Geirniam? Are you sure that's wise? Forging your armor took both of us but a blade could be very dangerous especially if you plan to make it yourself" Cykart says
"That may be true Cykart but I need this blade especially if the war in the west spills over here this blade may be the best weapon we have" Reinlas says, he wants to keep the visions secret for now
"I can send over all I have on making a blade and all I've learned about forging Geirniam equipment" Cykart says
"I thank you Cykart but if I do need help making this blade I will ask for your assistance" Reinlas says
"I am glad my king" Cykart says
Reinlas leaves and heads towards the castle along the way he sees some guards rushing towards the gate and he turns to look at the gate. he looks at the gate into the city and he sees guards furiously defending from a horde of those creatures with the poisoned claws and they are having trouble, there is just too many and they seem stronger. Reinlas speeds over to the gate and saves one of the guards from a lethal strike.
"All of you get through the gate and fire upon them from the walls,. NOW!" Reinlas shouts
The guards rush behind the walls but any too injured to move Reinlas uses his magic to create a wall of fire to keep the creatures back while they get them behind the walls. Reinlas pushes the creatures back by moving the wall and orders the guards to fire. They kill many of the creatures but there is still to many. Reinlas keep the wall of fire up as he charges through using his speed to avoid attacks while he kills some of the creatures. One lands a hit on his armour but it does nothing other than move Reinlas from the force Reinlas constantly attacks with his blade until it breaks. In response Reinlas throws all the beasts back with a powerful push from his magic he knows that he wont last long as the creatures are hitting stronger each time for some unknown reason. This battle is putting Reinlas in a hard place he quickly summons a new blade that is on fire while he shoots lightning from his left hand towards some of the creatures on his left. Some of the creatures run behind him and the guards quickly shoot them down.
"Get some mages on the walls!" Reinlas shouts
Some mages are brought up to the walls and they start enchanting arrows and shooting any magic they can to the horde of creatures down below. Reinlas is still fighting below when a creature manages to hit Reinlas in the neck when his helmet moved uncovering that spot. Reinlas screams in pain and in a burst of rage turns to the beast and simultaneously cuts off the beasts head and stabs it with a blade then throwing it at another creatures head killing it when the blade connects. Reinlas has become slightly enraged over the course of this battle and unbeknownst to him his eyes changed red just before he created a bunch of blades above his head and launched them into the horde, striking down many of their numbers. The rest run off back towards their lair. The gates open and guards come out to check on Reinlas they see his changed eye colour and wound on the neck.

"My lord you've been wounded let us take care of it" A mage says
"I can heal myself" Reinlas says going to heal himself but can't
"You can't can you? You used a lot of power dealing with those beasts my lord let us take care of that wound" The mage says
"Alright heal me and get the antidote and more healers to the men who were injured before me if you haven't already" Reinlas says
"We already got that covered my king thanks to you fighting out here there may be no deaths today but I must ask my king what's up with the red eyes?" The mage asks
"Red eyes? What are you talking about?" Reinlas asks slightly confused
"Your eyes are red my king they've changed" The mage says
"I had noticed but now that you mention it I can feel a different surge of magic coming straight from the changed eyes like I've done something I don't know what though" Reinlas says as his eyes return to their normal green
"They've turned back to normal my king" The mage says finishing the healing
"Hmm I will have to find out about that later right now we have to deal with the remaining creatures I know where they went and to stop this from happening again we must get rid of them" Reinlas says
"Of coarse my king do you require any assistance?" The mage asks
"Bring some more mages and some archers and we will head in" Reinlas says
The mage goes away to get more mages and archers to go with them. After a short while he returns with them.
"We are ready my king" The mage says
"Then lets go, follow me" Reinlas says as he heads towards the creature lair
Reinlas tells the mages to use fire magic to light up the cave so they can see. As they delve deeper Reinlas gets this nagging feeling in his head that something is off and he feels what it is there is something making the creatures stronger it has a lot of magic. Reinlas and his team set off for this item to retrieve it and kill the remaining creatures.
"Lights out, I hear the creatures and there's something making light"
They stop using their fire magic and creep up ahead as they turn a corner Reinlas sees the creatures and what is making light, it appears to be a metal.
"Geirniam? How is it creating light wait what are the creatures doing?" Reinlas quietly asks himself
Some of the creatures begin to grow in size and look stronger its being done by the Geirniam but Reinlas doesn't know how, in all his years he's never heard or seen anything about Geirniam doing this. Reinlas looks to the people with him.
"Alright, mages you use your magic to get the creatures back from our archers by all means and archers rain down hell" Reinlas says quietly
Reinlas summons new blades and moves up with his men to ambush the creatures but one hears them and tries to bite Reinlas, luckily the creature severly hurt itself biting the geirniam armour. Reinlas quickly stabs the creature killing it instantly with a head stab but now the rest are trying to rush him and his soldiers Reinlas and the mages set up a fire wall for the archers to shoot through, this wall lights the arrows on fire killing the creatures much easier but the stronger one enhanced by the Geirniam seem unaffected by the fire although the arrows still hurt and kill. Reinlas sees what he guesses to be the leader of the horde of creatures waiting for the right moment.

"Hold the line here keep killing off the rest I' deal with the leader" Reinlas says
"Of coarse my king, we shall hold for as long as we can" One soldier says
Reinlas speeds through the fire wall creating blades above his head with his magic and throws them telekinetically at creatures around him as he moves to the pack leader. When he reaches the pack leader he gets a solid stab into the upper thigh of the back left leg making that leg harder to stand on. The creature leader roars with rage as Reinlas jumps back avoiding a fearsome slash to his neck. Reinlas looks at the creature as he lights his blade on fire and slashes at the creature with it cutting deep and causing much pain with the fire. The creature howls in pain and unexpectedly slashes with much speed and strength wounding Reinlas in the neck and when Reinlas moved because of the pain another spot opened up that the creature slashed and cut him there as well.
"Argh son of a bitch" Reinlas says while getting angry and slightly weaker from the poison acting faster than normal
Reinlas know the poison is working faster he can feel the effects already so he decides to try and get this over with faster. Reinlas order the archers to shoot towards the pack leader and distract him and for the mages to push the fire out towards the other creatures and entrap them within the fire and burn them all. He starts to move out of the way of the pack leader and the archers shoot at it, enraging it. The creature lunges past Reinlas to jump at the archers but Reinlas quickly gets in front of the beast and ducks down holding his sword up slicing through it as it lunges forward his eyes flickered red during this. The beast is cut in half from the slice and is returning to normal size after death.
"My king are you alright!?" One mage asks
"I am not fine, the poison in that beast was stronger and acts faster than normal I imagine its because of that Geirniam over there" Reinlas says
"Lets give you this antidote for the poison my king" The mage says handing it to him
"Check everyone else as well just in case" Reinlas gets the antidote applied and he gets healed
Reinlas heads over to the Geirniam piece that these creatures were using to be stronger and an idea goes through his head and a flash of a blade made from this flashes as well. He knows this Geirniam will be useful. Him and the rest head out of the cave and go back into the city he ensures they are all fine from their venture as it turns out some were injured when some of the creatures got around the fire barrier the mages put up. Reinlas heads up to the castle and finds all of the information Cykart said he would deliver to the castle.
"I really must thank Cykart for sending these" Reinlas says to himself picking up everything there with his magic
Reinlas goes over to the forge in the castle and looks over all the information and starts to make the sword but this piece of Geirniam is stronger and even harder to manipulate as it can channel even greater amounts of magic than normal Geirniam but eventually he pours enough magic in to actually begins forging the blade it takes hours to make the blade settle into shape but Reinlas knows something is different with this blade but doesn't know what.
"I shall name this blade Kylorn, huh it's the first time I've named a weapon" Reinlas says to himself
He goes to sleep but the next day he realises that some of his magic is gone as if he used it in the night but he knows he didn't.
"The hell is going on here?" Reinlas asks himself confused
Reinlas tries to shrug it off and goes to train with the new blade and he's happy with it as it is lighter than he thought and his can store magic when he wants it too and then can discharge it as a magic blast.
"Hmm I may have lucked out with this blade" Reinlas says to himself laughing a little
Over the next few years Reinlas notices small bits of his magic has been disappearing occasionally and the blade gets stronger he guesses the blade is absorbing magic to get stronger but is confused as to why the Geirniam would react like this. One day though he gets the answer when inspecting the blade and its magic absorption.
"So this metal is a kind of unique variant from all I've researched and found out from what people have said but why has it been absorbing my magic for the last few years" Reinlas asks himself confused
The blade seems to shake when a voice comes from it surprising Reinlas.
"To gain intelligence" The sword says
"The hell? Wait so you used my magic to be able to speak and think freely, that is incredible" Reinlas says to Kylorn
"I have absorbed enough magic to start being to generate my own in a similar way to you and other Immortalai" Kylorn says
"So soon enough you wont need to rely on my magic to speak and think? How was this possible in the first place if even you know?" Reinlas asks
"I was able to do this do to the very metal I am made from this variant of Geirniam as you have named it was inherently more magical in nature and even giving more intelligence to other being but I could never do this to myself without much more magic" Kylorn says
"That sees to make sense when you say it like that. I do have one question should I keep calling you Kylorn or do you have another name you want to go by?" Reinlas asks
"I have grown accustomed to "Kylorn" so I would enjoy being called that still" Kylorn say somewhat happily
"Fine by me Kylorn" Reinlas says
Reinlas was still stunned by what he had found out and Kylorn seemed to enjoy still fighting as a normal blade. Soon enough Reinlas told others such as his family and eventually people about the living blade Kylorn.

Sara's (not really) Fabulous System Armageddon, Book I: The World Ended at Rush Hour
Planet Earth, Monday, October 7th, 2019. 18:30 * * On a fateful day, during rush hour in eastern North America, Heavens and Hell crumbled and fell from their higher dimension on Earth. It came from "above" but not the same above we regard in our tridimensional Euclidean reasoning. No, it came from "above" as in from a higher dimension. Bits and pieces of those places fell on Earth from all directions, this time in tridimensional Euclidean space. Satellites, the ISS, and space debris all were wiped clean from orbit. Even those that didn't crash with the falling debris were knocked off orbit by the shockwaves. On the ground, power distribution lines were disrupted and most power facilities were left abandoned by their dead staff. Most of these had emergency shutdown routines that engaged in a few days. Some others had a survivor among their staff that followed protocol and activated their SCRAM switches, stopping the power plant. Long-distance communication disappeared the internet along with it. The world was plunged into technological darkness. Nine hundred and ninety-nine out of every thousand human beings perished immediately in the pulse of magical energy from the torn spatial boundary. Spirits were rent asunder and vanished, their fate neither salvation nor damnation, only oblivion. The criteria used for this culling was latent magic potential. It didn't discriminate against education, gender, age, or ethnic group. But of the around seven million survivors, most would meet their doom moments later. Those on moving vehicles, like the ones driving on highways suddenly had to contend with high-speed uncontrolled cars and trucks driven by corpses. Trapped in their vehicles and helpless, they became part of the long snake of crushed metal. Very few survived. Those in the air or out in the sea were alone and probably unable to control their rides. Airplanes crashed, and ships kept their course or drifted away, depending on their autopilot. Several ended their own lives in utter despair after seeing their loved ones die in front of them. Another large group would die at the hands of other survivors. Violence and aggression became the norm. Only a few sparse pockets of not-so-sane survivors managed to band together and cooperate for the sake of mutual survival. The sole survivor in a five-over-one apartment building in Georgia, a girl became the keystone to humanity's survival. Sara's fabulous System Apocalypse had just started. She has only one remark. It was anything but fabulous. * * Updates every Wednesday and Sunday.
