《The Legend of The Grandmaster》Chapter 62

The group of twelve people divided into a smaller group of 4 and rushed in three different directions, intending to surround everyone in the academy.
Blue Tyrant Academy or the new Shrek Academy was neither big nor small. After reaching their position, each person from the group spread out and formed a large circle covering the academy from all sides.
If anyone else were present on the scene, they would have been surprised after feeling the spirit-power fluctuations.
All 12 were spirit-saints; the weakest among them was rank 71, whereas the strongest reached rank 80 seven rings spirit-saint.
According to the plan agreed upon, they slowly started moving towards the center from their position; while killing everyone in their path.
Although they had different reasons, Tang Xiao, Bishop Salas, and Yu Luomian collectively decided to eliminate Yu Xiaogang.
The twelve of them decided on the spot to eliminate everyone, including students so that no one knows their actual target.
" Huh! " As they continued to move forward, all of them were surprised to find that the place was empty.
" Where is everyone? " One of them asked.
" Did they discover it in advance? " The other asked.
" I don't know, but they can't discover it in advance. " The leader replied.
He continued, " Let's move towards the actual target. "
" Okay. " Everyone else nodded, and all of them rushed towards the center.

" Xiaogang, what do you think? How many people would come this time? " A strange light shone in her eyes as Liu Erlong asked him.
" I am sure that Spirit Hall would not miss this chance but don't know about the rest. " Xiaogang thought for a moment before replying.
" Huh! " Liu Erlong snorted after hearing his answer, and she thought of the woman living in the Spirit Hall.

Yu Xiaogang smiled bitterly after seeing her face. He softly called out, " Erlong, after this is over. I will tell you everything. "
" Hmm! Okay. " She replied.
Flender, who was sitting silently, suddenly spoke, " I think this time it is not just Spirit Hall; maybe there are other forces also involved. "
Yu Xiaogang smiled and replied, " We have already prepared such an opportunity for them. It would be foolish of Tang Xiao and others not to take advantage of it. "
" They are here. " He stopped talking and looked towards the front.
As soon as he spoke, both of them heard the sound of footsteps approaching from all directions.
" So you are here. " The leader walked in through the front. He saw the three of them sitting leisurely as if they had already expected this situation.
Although he looked calm on the surface, yet his mind was in chaos. Seeing their carefree look, he secretly began to suspect whether there was a spy in his group.
If there was indeed a spy in his group, then why are they still sitting so casually? Do they have a backup? Many questions popped up in his mind.
The leader knew one thing for sure, if the other party is not eliminated, his end would not be well.
He waved his right hand, and with this signal, the rest of them appeared. They covered up the entire place and made a circle with Xiaogang as the center.
Liu Erlong looked a bit impatient, and as she was about to start, Xiaogang placed his hand on her shoulder and said, " Erlong, wait for a moment. "
" Okay. " She shrugged her shoulders and went back to her seat.
Xiaogang stepped forward; he looked at the leader and asked, " Who sent you? "

The leader replied in a cold voice, " Spirit Hall. "
" Did Qian Xunji send you? " Xiaogang shook his head and asked again, but this time he released all of his spirit-power, and five black spirit rings appeared beneath him.
The leader was shocked after looking at Yu Xiaogang's spirit rings, and before he knew it, he felt tremendous pressure forcing him to kneel.
His body could not bear Xiaogang's pressure for long, and his right leg bone cracked. Even after falling on his knees, he did not answer Xiaogang's question.
The rest of them did not make any efforts to save their leader. Their mission was to kill Yu Xiaogang and others.
Although they were surprised after seeing the five black spirit rings beneath Xiaogang, all of them felt he would not be their opponent if the 11 of them attacked him at once.
Xiaogang saw that the latter was still stubborn and did not answer him. With his single thought, a blackish field of energy appeared around Yu Xiaogang. It was his innate talent domain.
Immediately afterward, Xiaogang's domain covered the Spirit Hall assassin, reducing the latter's physical strength by a huge margin.
All bones in his body started creaking as if they would break the next second. He could not bear the pain anymore and hastily spoke, " It was Bishop Salas who asked me to kill you. "
" Oh! Salas? " Xiaogang pondered for a bit before he stepped forward, a black spear appeared in his right hand, and under the latter's horrified gaze, Xiaogang stabbed the spear through his chest.
The leader already could not bear Xiaogang's spirit-power, let alone his domain. Moreover, his leg bone had fractured, which limited his mobility. The spear crushed his heart, and he died instantly.
Xiaogang looked towards the others and softly asked, " Are you all from the Spirit Hall? "
Quiet! No one answered his question; instead, one of them turned around and rushed out. There was only one thought in his mind, ' Escape and relay the new intelligence to master. '
As the person was about to leave, he felt a sense of danger and instantly dodged. A few black feathers appeared on his position. His face turned ugly after seeing this.
The assassin looked up and saw Flender looking down at him with a mocking smile. He looked towards the rest of them and said, " Hurry, one of you, escape and give the new information to the master. "
The rest of them reacted after hearing him. Xiaogang looked towards the man and said, " I admire your will to sacrifice yourself to let others escape. What a pity! Do you think anyone of you can escape? "
Xiaogang turned towards Flender and said, " Boss Fu, can you trap them for a few moments? "
Flender turned around and looked towards the 11 of them and helplessly said, " Who made me your boss. "
Flender started releasing his spirit ability one after another, causing them to be in a passive position.
Till now, only Spirit hall had been exposed, and to keep it this way. The assassins had not used their martial spirit. Yet, now during a crisis, they did not continue to hide, and one after another showed their martial spirit.
All 11 of them displayed seven spirit rings. As Xiaogang and the rest of them had expected, there were Clear Sky sect members mixed within; but what they did not expect was that even the Blue lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan was involved.
Xiaogang and Erlong, who saw this scene, their face became frosty.

A World Forgotten
***This story will contain lite-litrpg elements, mainly character pages and a town page. There will also be settlement building and adventuring, missteps and achievements. But one thing it definitely won’t have is a harem. Nor will it have an overpowered MC. Contains mild cursing.*** ***feel free to critique my writing and offer input. This is my first venture into writing. I've always enjoyed litrpg/gamelit books. I feel like I write how I talk, so it may be a little different. You won't hurt my feelings if you see something wrong or out of place! *** ***What follows is a condensed part of chapter 1. Enjoy!*** Drew Cooper is thrust into a new, unfamiliar world. Waking up in his sweats and t-shirt near what seems to be a forgotten path through some woods, he struggles coming to terms that he's no longer in his apartment. As he tries to cope with his new reality, he hears a horse coming down the path. He hides behind a nearby tree dreading what may happen next. As the horse approaches, he sees a man walking next to it. The horse is burdened with packs and gear. When the man nears, Drew nearly panics. He has a large sword strapped to his waist, obviously a fighter. He continues to hide as the man slowly passes only for the man to stop a dozen meters past his hiding spot. "You may as well come out, ya know. You weren't as well hidden as you thought," the man stated matter-of-factly, letting the horse’s reins go and putting his hand on the hilt of his sword. Slowly and scared for his life, Drew raised up and walked from behind the tree. "I-I'm sorry. I wasn't planning on attacking you. I-I don't know where I am. I heard your horse and hid. I didn't know what you'd do if you saw me. I'm sorry," he nervously blurted out. A minute passed. Then two. The man seemed interested with Drew and stepped closer, eyes squinting as if trying to see something. "What's that on your shirt? Is that. What is that? Is that, Pac-man?" The man was visibly shaken while pointing at me. Looking down at his t-shirt nervously, "Yea. Yea. I woke up here a few hours ago I think. 3 maybe 4 hours. I’ve just been sitting here. Where am I? What's going on?" Drew asked. "That's not important right now," the man replied. " What's important is where you're from. What year is it?" "What year? April something 2020. Why? What's going on?" Drew continued now worried. The man was taken aback. After a few moments, he seemed to calm himself some. The man sighed and looked at Drew in earnest. "Well, I've got good news and bad news for ya. Bad news is you're not on Earth anymore. Good news is you happened to run into me and not someone else. You’re either really lucky, or it’s fate we met in these woods, and I don’t believe in luck." The man continued to walk towards Drew while talking and put out his hand. "I'm John Mitchell from St. Louis or thereabouts. You’ve got nothing to be scared of by me. Walk with me and let’s talk."

Isaka Smith - is a third generation American and farmer who just wants to be left alone. But she is dragged into the situation by events beyond her control. John McIntire, the “Fighting Bull” -The commander of the African Fort, but because of circumstances beyond his ability to contend with shortly after taking command after being re-activated from retirement, he finds communication with his chain of command increasingly difficult. The African Union is embroiled in a bitter civil war just outside his door, and supposedly, most of the world governments are in similar situations. Meanwhile, John must do his best to be ready to facilitate diplomacy, or to match the hostile argument of whatever force might come through the pillar of light when the year timer finishes counting down. Can our heros defend Earth from outside threats, while it tares itself apart? Or will they need to rebuild from the ground up?
