《The Legend of The Grandmaster》Chapter 44

" Knock! Knock! "An attendant of the hotel knocked on Tang Xiao's room and waited outside patiently for him to open the door.
" Click! " After a few moments, Tang Xiao opened the door and looked surprised after seeing the attendant standing outside.
" What do you want? " Tang Xiao asked him.
" Sir, This is the note that was left for you at the reception. " The attendant handed over the paper to him and left. Tang Xiao took the paper and closed the door.
Tang Xiao walked back into the room, sat on the chair, and curiously looked at the paper in his hand. He unfolded the paper and read it, " Brother, I have arranged an auxiliary healing spirit master for you, and return to the clan after recovering. Ah Yin and I won't be accompanying you back; we are going to travel across the mainland. " Tang Xiao's face turned blue and black, veins bulged on his forehead as he spoke, " TANG HAO! "
Tang Xiao might be a rash person, but he was not stupid and clearly understood the underlying meaning behind the contents of the letter. It meant that Tang Hao did not trust him as he used to, and there was nothing Tang Xiao could do to restore it.
Tang Xiao sighed and murmured to himself, " Tang Hao! Ah! Tang Hao! I never wanted to resort to such measures against my younger brother, but you left me with no choice. " A crazy light flashed in his eyes as he finally made his choice. Tang Xiao knew that it would be difficult for him to track down his little brother; moreover, the latter had become a spirit douluo, and he couldn't do much even after finding Tang Hao. After all, no one understood the horror of Clear Sky Hammer better than him.

After a while, the attendant returned with another person and knocked on his door. Tang Xiao opened the door and gestured the other person to come inside.
Tang Xiao sat cross-legged on the bed with his eyes closed and did not worry if the other person might have any evil motive because the healer in front of him was a member of the Clear Sky Sect.
" Young master, please restrain your spirit energy; I am going to start. " The auxiliary spirit master spoke before six spirit rings materialized beneath him, and a strange scepter appeared in his right hand.
He waved his scepter and spoke, " Heal. " The fifth and the sixth black spirit ring started shining as a hazy light glowed on the scepter and enveloped Tang Xiao's body.
The hazy light entered Tang Xiao's body and repaired all of the wounds he had sustained recently. Most of the energy was directed towards his left eye, trying to heal it, but it got devoured by the wisp of energy Yu Xiaogang had left as a backhand.
After a few minutes, the auxiliary master stopped releasing his fifth and sixth ability; he was surprised to see that even after consuming all of his spirit energy, he couldn't heal Tang Xiao's eye.
" Young master, All your wounds have been healed except for your left eye. My spirit energy has only stabilized the injury; unfortunately couldn't heal it. " He spoke with a slightly pale face and sweat covering his forehead. He knew Tang Xiao is one of the two heirs who can become the next head of the clan, so he tried his best to gain Tang Xiao's favor in the future.
Tang Xiao's face clearly showed disappointment and unwillingness, yet as the young master of Clear Sky Sect, he calmly spoke, " Thank you for your hard work, here is my token, keep it. " Tang Xiao indirectly conveyed his offer to take him under his wing.

How could he not understand the meaning behind Tang Xiao's words; he happily accepted the token and bowed down afterward to show his respect.
After this small episode, Tang Xiao stepped out of his room and left the hotel covered in a black cloak. He roamed around the commercial streets of the city a few times and entered a small broken shop after making sure that no one was following him.
The shop was located at the edge of the market; the interior was dirty as if not cleaned for days, and there were not many commodities present in the shop for purchasing.
Tang Xiao walked into the shop, and there was an expression of disdain appeared on his face after looking at the surroundings. There was only one person present in the shop sitting behind an old desk, who wore a black cloak to cover himself.
Tang Xiao walked towards him; he took out his token from the storage tool and handed it over to the person.
" Sir, wait here. " The person took over the token and examined it before he gestured Tang Xiao to sit. He walked out of the shop from a hidden exit. Tang Xiao sneered after seeing his wary movements and coldly said, " Don't waste my time. " The other person's body trembled after hearing the impatience in his voice and quickened his pace.
After a few minutes, he returned with another person wearing a similar black cloak like him. Tang Xiao did not even lift his head to greet the other party.
He clearly felt angry after seeing Tang Xiao's behavior, yet he suppressed his anger and sat opposite him and asked, " What do you want? " It was already clear from his word that both of them were acquaintances at the very least if not friends.
" I agree with your proposal, but I have two conditions. " Tang Xiao responded indifferently. The other person suppressed his rising anger again and asked, " State your terms. "
" Firstly, no one should even get the gist of my involvement in this operation; secondly, I require your help to become the next Sect leader. " Tang Xiao calmly stated his demands.
The other person felt silent after hearing Tang Xiao's conditions. He thought for a while, weighing the pros and cons of his demands; finally, after a few moments, he replied, " I agree, but you will have to follow our plan. "
" No problem. " Tang Xiao responded.
Soon, Tang Xiao left after finalizing the plan with him. No one knew that a massive storm that would shake the continent started in this small shop. How could have both of them guessed their actions today would bring a great disaster soon.

The Ascendant: Endless Reincarnation
