《The Legend of The Grandmaster》Chapter 6

The next morning Yu Xiaogang habitually woke up early, and he bathed and put on a normal training suit and stepped out of the room. He walked towards Yu Yan's room; he heard the little girl sobbing as he was about to enter the room.
Yu Xiaogang was puzzled; he did not understand the reason why she was crying. He felt distressed and entered into the room without thinking any further. After entering the room, he noticed the little trembling figure. Yu Xiaogang walked over, he sat on the bed and touched her head.
Yu Yan was shocked after she felt a hand touching her head; she poked out her head from the quilt and saw her teacher looked at her with a gentle expression on his face.
" What happened, Yan'er? Why are you crying? "
He asked her in a very gentle tone while rubbing her head. She looked up at his face and saw that his expression was similar to her grandfather; she jumped off the bed and hugged him tightly while sobbing. He hugged her back and patted her back.
After a while, she calmed down and told him that today is her birthday; she celebrated her previous birthdays with her grandfather. Yu Xiaogang already understood the reason behind her sadness.
" Yan'er, you are my daughter. You are not alone, understand? "
He glared at her with a fake angry expression on his face. Little Yan was scared after looking at his complexion and nodded timidly. He rubbed her head, told her to freshen up, and left the room.
He entered the kitchen, cooked a delicious meal for her, and a bowl of porridge for himself. He didn't have to wait for long and sees the little girl trotting towards him. Yu Yan sat on the chair next to him; her eyes shined as she looked at the food placed on the table.
Yu Xiaogang laughed as he saw the look on her face, and he placed the specially prepared bowl of food in front of her and ate porridge himself. She happily ate the food and completely forgot the previous sadness. He felt relieved after seeing her smile. He cleaned the table, washed the utensils, and took her out of the house with him.
Before he could speak, the little girl asked him; why she has to run around the house every day?

" Little Yan, it is because running every day will improve your body, and it is necessary to have a healthy body to be an outstanding spirit master. "
Yu Xiaogang tried to keep his answer simple and spoke patiently. He proceeded; to practically show her and to help her understand better.
"Martial soul possession! "
Two horns and a pair of wings grew up on his forehead and his back. He hugged the little girl and flew into the sky with a flap of his wings. Yu Xiaogang didn't fly at an elevated height because of limited spirit power. The little girl was in shock and did not react until she was in the sky.
Yu Xiaogang flew towards the forest at the edge of the village. He glanced around while flying, found a small cliff, and flew down towards the bottom of the cliff. She stared at his changes very curiously and asked him if he was an animal.
Yu Xiaogang felt that his brain might stop working and told her that he would teach her more about spirit masters in the future. He went on, told her to watch attentively, as he was about to show her the purpose of having a good physique.
" First spirit ability, Tyrant's Body! "
A black spirit ring appeared underneath him, and illusionary black scales formed all over his body as he spoke. He glanced at the stunned girl standing near him and used his spirit bones ability " Saint's Body. "
Yu Xiaogang felt an additional power flowing through his body, and a golden sheen coated his entire body. He felt that he could crush any spirit-ancestor at this moment. Yu Xiaogang clenched his left hand and punched the cliff.
Bang! As the fist hit the cliff, it smashed the entire cliff into pieces. Yu Xiaogang retracted his spirit ring, released the spirit possession, and looked back at the stunned girl. He just stood there silently and let her process.
Yu Yan was stunned as she saw the illusionary black scales and the golden light covering him; she was shocked after watching the cliff getting blown off by a single punch. The little girl had a very simple mind and thought that she could do the same after training for a long time.

" Father, I also want to be strong like you. "
She ran towards him and hugged his arm. He was very pleased that she had called him "Father" for the first time. Yu Xiaogang rubbed her little head and nodded. Wings grew on his back as he picked her up and flew back to the village.
After reaching back, he told her to run twenty-three laps around the house and picked up the wooden pole from the house and started practicing. He thrust the pole with his left hand a thousand times and switched to the right hand and completed the repetition.
He saw that little Yan had also finished running; he gestured her to follow him back to the house. After entering the house, he told her to freshen up while walking towards the kitchen. Yu Xiaogang quickly cooked a sweet dish for her and sat on the chair, waiting for her. After a few minutes, she came towards the kitchen and saw a sweet cake on the table.
Yu Xiaogang smiled after her arrival and placed the sweet cake in front of her and wished her happy birthday. Yu Yan smiled brilliantly and ate the cake.
He took her out for a walk and bought her many things in the village. After fulfilling her desire to play, Yu Xiaogang took her with him to meet the village chief. They arrived at the center of the village and knocked on his door.
Both of them didn't have to wait for a long time as Old jack opened his door and invited them inside. Yu Xiaogang greeted him and asked, " Have you arranged an area where I can teach and how many children are going to be present? "
Old Jack's eyes brightened as he listened to him and felt the sincerity of the other party. Jack nodded and told him that everything is prepared. He asked Yu Xiaogang to follow him.
Yu Xiaogang took little Yan with him and followed Old Jack. They walked for a few minutes before reaching the destination, and while walking, Jack talked a lot with Yu Yan.
Yu Xiaogang noticed the garden as soon as they arrived and expressed his satisfaction to him for the spot and asked him to gather all the children in an hour. He sat down in the garden with little Yan.
Yu Xiaogang laid down under the shade of a tree and looked at the little girl playing in front of him; he felt an unusual sense of peace and thought it would have been great if both the girls were present with him. Yu Yan got bored after playing for a while and sat beside him and asked him about her mother.
" Yan'er, your mother lives in a distant region. She would be very excited to meet you. " Yu Xiaogang said in a plain tone while suppressing his inner torment. The little girl was thrilled at the thought of meeting her mother and did not notice the change in his tone.
Soon, one hour had passed, and Old Jack arrived with four children walking behind him. Yu Xiaogang adjusted his mentality and stood up after he saw them.
" Yu Xiaogang, I will entrust them to you. Children, be obedient and listen to your teacher. " Old Jack greeted him and said to the children behind him. Yu Xiaogang nodded in return. Jack left them after confirming everything was alright.
" I am Yu Xiaogang; she is my daughter Yu Yan, and I will guide all of you together for the next one year. " He introduced himself, his daughter, and asked them to introduce themselves.
The boy standing at his extreme left started the introduction, and the rest of them followed him.
Yu Xiaogang glanced at the children standing in front of him; there were three boys and two girls, including little Yan.
He told them that he would teach them how to read and write for one hour, and after that, they would exercise for the next three hours.
Yu Xiaogang told them to sit down, and he himself sat in front of them and started teaching. He told them that by studying the basics, they could become better spirit-masters in the future.
He ended the theory class soon and told them to run twenty laps around the garden and sent them back early because he wanted to test their previous foundations.
