Chapter 5: Boss Fight?

"Well it's still a goblin right? How hard could it..-Ompf! said the Gary who got punched for jinxing.

"Well we might as well get this over with, every obstacle is a stepping stone for our empire! Now here's the plan."

They 6 gobl-Garys got in formation and walked toward the center of the room. The boss room was surprisingly large, about the size of an earth's basketball court.

It was completely round, not a corner to hide in, but the Garys knew this of course and took it into consideration. The brilliant plan to defeat the boss? Surround the boss!

The room was luminated enough by torches on the wall, they were firmly secure. This was known first hand when one Gary(not to be confused with Gary one) previously tried to remove them in the dungeons tunnel. When the Garys were about halfway to the center, the boss decided it was time to show himself.

A Goblin mage appeared from an explosion of fire at the center; the flames dispersed quickly, the mage not even seemingly burnt at all. It was much more flashy than the [clone]s poof! But don’t tell them that.

The mage was slightly taller than all of the previous globins seen, with a height hovering around 140 cm. He was dressed with a brown poncho covered in unknown stains, it was basically a giant loin cloth for his whole body. The nose was typical for a goblin, long.

The most striking thing about the mage was that he was holding a stick,it was different to Gary's stick this one was a staff!

Looking down on his enemies the smug grin of the goblin went unnoticed by the group, their eyes focusing on the staff.

" I can feel something faint from the staff, it's hard to describe with words.. but that's not any ordinary stick." said Original.

"Dibs" said Gary one.

“What did I say earlier!” (Original)

"Groannn..let’s just fight" Said gary 3.

So that's what they did, they spread out, leaving Original and one bodyGary. The rest flanked the goblin mage. Gary one was first to strike, and from behind! sneaky bastard. However the mage was quick to react, firing off a fireball towards his direction.

Gary one barely dodged , singeing his left arm hairs while blocking.

"It's a fire mage! Holy sh*t magic exists, I wanna learn that!" Said Gary 2.

"We all do, but don't lose focus and keep to the plan. '' Original said.

Gary one launched his attack again, this time ready to endure the heat. When the fireball launched he dived to the right, the goblin keeping an eye on him turned and exposed his back to the others. This was a foolish move for the goblin boss mage (aka Goblin Mage Boss) because this was when the other Garys took the chance to attack.

{Bam, Bam!}

The two managed to get a hit off, but before another set was allowed the goblin swung his staff around smacking into Gary 3. Gary 4 ducked in time and delivered a kick to the goblins shin, the goblin fell to his knees and Original bringing down his stick of punishment ended the boss.

[Goblin Mage Boss defeated, received 100 exp, even split, you may now leave]

A black portal opened up on the wall opposite of the entrance of the boss chamber.

" Good work guys, I think we all leveled on that one. " Original said while examining his loot, the staff not the enlarged poncho.

Gary lifted up the staff and channeled his mana through it, imaging the feeling when his mana drained using [clone]. Fwoosh! A large fireball, similar size to the mage before launched out of the head of the staff and flew across the room, straight into... Gary 3.

"Aaaagh!"

{Flop}.

Gary 3 fell to the floor dead.

"Sh*t is he dead? My arm is still hurting like hell. " Gary one asked.

"Damn , I don’t think so, I didn't get any exp-- woah.." Original slurred, clutching his head that was making him dizzy.
