《The Dark Times》Article 12: Gillings for Circles is on target!

The Stone circle repairment society has almost reached its goal of three million gillings. With its target reached the society will be able to repair the over used main Ley intersection in the Wessex area. Surreptitiously patched up in the 1860’s the heavily-travelled mortal and inter-world interlink hubs have become too run down to allow accurate travel between realms and places.
As you will remember, last year a coven of witches from the north passed through the Rollright stones, and took the ley for Avebury and went widdershins for Stonehenge and thereafter, Salisbury. Instead they landed up at Stanton Drew and were pushed by a fairy surge originating from Coate stone circle to Salem in the USA. It was not a happy landing.
And you will also recall the trolls from Dundee that were on a trip to Norway and came down Stone spine of Britain to Avebury aiming for Canterbury and thence to Calais and from there up toward their destination in Norway who instead ended up in the fairy realm when they were passed through Silbury Hill. This led to a headache for customs when they had to issue visas for the mis-placed trolls.
The leys are well travelled and all the most powerful ley streams pass through the great interconnected Wessex hubs. If upkeep is not maintained on them the magic can leak out at the edges, at odd tangents, or a power surge may occur, as in the case of the coven, that will send travellers to un-intended destinations.
The Stone Circle Repairment Society, is hopeful that the increased donations and funding from the Realm Travel Committee will see their goal of three million gillings being reached by the end of next month. They intend to start work first on the Coate stone circle and Stanton Drew circle before hopping across to Harold’s Stones in Wales. This will bring the circles up to full capacity for the north-western re-routing of the ley traffic around Avebury and Stonehenge. They will also be upgrading Deerleap stones and Stone, stone circle, as the Glastonbury route is popular and this continues the encirclement of the Wessex main hubs.

Later in the year they are hoping and with continued funding to go around to the east to finish the encirclement. Once the outlying hubs are running smoothly Avebury and Stonehenge will be taken off the travel grid for major refurbishment.
The society apologies in advance for any disruption this may cause to travel plans as it will add complications to some journeys but the vast improvement that is envisaged for the foreseeable future, (see the predictions of Morgan the Mystic) will far outweigh the inconvenience and they ask that curses are withheld.
If you must travel through the Wessex complex the society recommends that you check the mystic energy flow charts for the area on your chosen time of travel and invest in a trip location charm.
