《Sunset of the Dragons》Chapter 86: Back Home

Nia kept flying. Was it minutes; hours; days? She couldn't remember. Her mind was preoccupied with everything that has happened.
As soon as she saw her home village of Kyte village from above, she swooped down. The morning sun lit up the village. As soon as she landed, she saw the entire village ransacked. Dead farm animals laid bare. White butterflies began eating at the dead, but there was one cow being chewed on by strange monsters that she has never seen before. Rabbits with the mouths of a lamprey. No pupils and mushrooms grew on top of their backs. They looked small, but ate the decomposing cow quickly. Nia took a step forward with her wings, tail, and light green scales out for the monsters to see. As soon as they noticed her, they stopped chewing and stared at her. Her wings flapped for a moment. Nia was about to attack them, but as soon as she reached for her red blade they quickly dug underneath the ground and fled.
Nia sighed a breath of relief and relaxed herself. She walked slowly among the village. She touched the rotting wood. She reminisced a very clear picture of children playing. The villagers going about their daily lives. Simple, but happy lives. As she reached the cabin where she and her big sister Nera would stay, the door was already broken down. She stepped into it having a brief feeling of nostalgia and respite. She sat on a chair and looked outside the broken down room. Nia could see her big sister Nera playing with a child. A pretend sword fight with sticks. The child was a small girl with light green scales.
Nia smiled at the memory, but it faded almost instantly. She had no idea what to do with her life any more. She covered her face as tears streamed down her face. She gently cried. Her tears dropped on the ground. White flowers grew in their place.
Outside white flowers began to grow where her footsteps once touched. Then a white caterpillar crawled right on one. It squirmed and writhed. But not to end its life, but as to begin its journey to another.

8 171Somebody Stop Her
In a world of villains and heroes, the Kilborne family moved to the small town of Saint Mary. Their new neighbors, living in the 1888 Saint Mary cathedral, turned out to be a family of supervillains. Martin Kilborne would find school perfectly mundane if it wasn't for Alexa Terranova who is: constantly bothering him with a pocket raygun, demanding he become her minion and threatening to blow up the principal's office in a series of unnecessarily complicated, wacky plots. The more Martin learns about Alexa, the more dangerous and insane his life becomes as he is dragged into terrible, misfortunate, no good adventures of doom. A wholesome, slice of life, superhero / supervillain sci-fi comedy, sprinkled with elements of horror.Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge - 55'555 words in 35 days!Dedicated to my daugher who has an unbendable stubborn spirit and my friends at the Silver Pen server who motivated me to write new things!

These are poems of my thoughts. Since I can't talk to people about them, I need to talk to someone about my thoughts, even if they're reading it over a screen. They may be dark and you may see the brokeness inside, but hopefully I will be able to find hope and a reason to live. If you don't want to read the story, that doesn't offend me. You'll just be ignoring the cries of the broken.
