《Heart Of A Servant》Chapter 19 : Oops, did that hurt?

The other sixty-six Magus Gods were also bald and also wore blue attires. Their tastes in jewelry, however, weren't as exaggerated as the triplets.
I watched them as Kyle's alter ego appeared in the middle of the sixty-nine Magus Gods hoping to at least see their surprised faces, but no...they acted as if they had been expecting him to come out of the ring at that very moment.
Kyle's eyes were entirely black and released a dark element in the air around the head. The moment the Shadow took over, his body had started exuding darkness.
A short Magus God then said ¨You took your sweet time...but no matter...you'll soon find out that even with a Variant Law of Darkness as useless as the Dark Form, your chances of winning are pretty much close to zero. After all, what can you do Mr. Evil? You can only rely on that powerful body of yours.¨
It didn't surprise me that they knew so much. I still had unanswered questions about how they knew so much, but if they knew all that, how did they overlook that he wielded a Prime Law. It was a mystery.
The Shadow then said, ¨A powerful body, huh? You sure know a lot, but this time, you seem to have overlooked something crucial. hehe.¨
Another Magus God then said, ¨And what is it that we overlooked?¨
The Shadow smiled and then said, ¨Hoho...Why should I indulge dead men? But I'm still curious about how you know so much...Care to share?¨
Except for the triplets who were still occupied with pouring mana into the copper ring, the other sixty-six Magus Gods all laughed at the Shadow words. I could see that they all saw him as a dead man which sounded alarms in my head.

The short Magus God from earlier then said, ¨You're right. Why should we indulge a dead man? We've all seen your death, anyway.¨
Seen?
That word caught me by surprise. Could they see the future? That would explain a lot if they all had a Variant Runic Law of the Time Prime Law.
Assuming I was right, what could they see exactly? The future? The near future? The past?
I had limited knowledge on Laws except for the only two laws that I possessed in my memories, the Space Prime Law and the Seal Prime Law, and I had stolen them from the man who sealed me. I had yet to comprehend a law of my own.
Then came the most important question: How to kill a Magus God that could see the future.
If they all had the same inheritance and if they could relay information like the triplets did by sharing everything they saw to each other, our only chance of survival rested on the limitations of their Variant runic law and what the Shadow had in his arsenal.
That was assuming it wasn't the Time Prime Law that they had comprehended and was a harmless Variant Law.
I was still inside the dreamworld with Kyle and were watching what was happening in the outside world on a screen. My soul body had remained in the safety of the copper ring but it only had fifteen minutes before it was overloaded by mana and without Kyle's boy to absorb it, the ring would be soon destroyed.
I decided to share my conjectures with the Shadow, ¨Be careful. They can probably see the future.¨
The Shadow answered with a smirk and ignored me. I felt that it probably had an idea on how to beat them and it also had had the same conjectures as me.

As the Shadow was about to wave its hand to attack, I watched in horror as a lance pierced his heart...and then multiple lances made of light pierced him all over his body.
If he wasn't a Primus relying on essence energy to heal, he would've died on the spot.
The short Magus God then smiled as the Shadow ruthlessly smashed on the ground by the impact of the lances. The other Magus Gods seriously watched and some nodded.
The short Magus God then said,¨Oops...did that hurt?... You wanted to pick a fight with sixty-nine magic casters at the Magus God level, but you were done in by me alone. Aren't you ashamed of yourself?...and let me tell you something...that foreign energy you call essence is being siphoned by those lances along with your vitality and soul energy, you can barely move now and soon you won't be able to heal and will bleed out like a normal human being...so much for acquiring an invincible body...it may be different from a Magus God's body, but I killed you the same way I would kill a Magus God.¨

Living in Paradise
The first thing I saw when I woke up was a group of people standing over me shouting "Happy Birthday!!!". Immediately after they start debating what type of world I came from and calling me 'William'. Later on I would learn that everyone here is reborn from another world and many children come with magic or superpowers or other gifts leftover from their old lives. I came from a world that was, to me, typical modernity. To them it was pretty boaring with the only thing interesting about my world being was a higher than average tech level for a non-spacefaring civilization; technology that wouldn't even work in this new world. All I brought with me was a peculiar mindset and the strong suspicion that there must be something more to life. Once everyone started to clear out my mother took me up in her arms, explained how the world works, and then stabbed me in the neck with a knife. I got better. -------------------- This story was written from the central idea of a simple question: What if a videogame like world, with all the normal video-game staples and tropes, was actually a real world? How would that work? How would people understand the universe around them? What sort of weirdness would the world appear to have from the point of view of someone who recognizes the odd nature of the place? And finally, if left to its own devices, how would this type of world ultimately develop?

Obligate of a Self-Ordained Sorcerer
Come join the Discord! It was a typical late-night friday for Mara, secluded in her apartment in front of a digital expanse, relentlessly mashing code into a keyboard. An introverted workaholic, but this was what she wanted - what she had strived so hard to achieve. So why did she feel so lost? Her life was productive, comfortable, satisfying. Plenty had it worse but she still felt... ungrateful? Stunted? The right word escaped her, but she could feel the general revelation settling upon her. With it came a choice that would set events in motion far beyond the meager scope of a 'New Game+'. So taking an intrusive portal to god-knows-where, Mara will come to find that her new world offers boons and banes with equal abandon. Magic, skills, and unforgiving difficulty. For a frail human shut-in, finding herself stranded in the middle of a sprawling dungeon was one of the least desirable outcomes. Food and water would be the least of her problems, why oh why couldn't she just get summoned by some pervy king to slay a demon army or something? This is a story of magic and adventure with skills and stats galore. A litrpg / isekai epic that I've been inspired to make after years of wonderful works like "So I'm a Spider," "Rimuru the Slime," "Azarinth Healer," "Negima!?," and plethora of other isekai and fantasy novels and animes. Special shout-out to Douglas Adams, a big influence on narative humor that's had a non-insignificant effect on my writing style. I hope you enjoy joining Mara on her journey as I attempt to scratch the itch they left behind.Chapters target 3-6k~ words. Though I'm personally aiming for a chapter every couple weeks, I think I can at least promise one a month with how busy work's been. I made a Patreon due to requests, if you'd like to support me there I'll be using it to fund artwork and RR ads for increased exposure.

Not to mention that he seems to have a knack for sticking his nose into the nefarious plans of secret societies and ancient cults. But John’s life wasn’t always such a mess: Everything began when he accidentally invented a way to rewind time… Weekly Schedule: At least a ~3.5k words chapter every Wednesday and Sunday.

Alterea: The JoaT
An average teenager is randomly transported into another world by the whims of a god. Given no reason and no goals to go for, he was forced to start fresh in the beautiful world of Alterea. Bringing with him his averageness and (probably) wise mind, he ventures forth to a path unknown. This fiction was solely made for my own entertainment. Expect amateur writing and mistakes, as well as an inconsistent schedule.
