[Alright things are looking up I got a new class and a decent quest nothing can go wrong now] {Master I have a question} [Yes what is it] {What's your weapon}? With that, I freeze up remembering the conflict I had with that one asshole I remember I lost my weapon in the fight and forgot to retrieve it. [Well it could be worse right] {What's our food expenses look like right now}? I flinch realizing I'm completely broke after paying the fees. [W-Well we could be] {Isn't their an investigation going on about the death of the adventurer you burned to death and if they find out you'll be executed on the spot}? [WELL EXCUSE ME MR. KILLJOY FOR TRYING TO BE OPTIMISTIC]. {You do realize this is the reason your intelligence stays at three right}? (SHUT YOUR TRAP DO YOU ALWAYS NEED TO REMIND ME ABOUT THAT). I flail my arms in the air as if that's supposed to do something. It does, however, get me strange looks as I walk through the town gate so that's something at least.
[Alright looks like we're ready]. As I start walking I get interrupted by a certain someone. {The quest objective is that way} He puts an image in my mind showing me what he is talking about. [Oh... ALRIGHT LET'S GO]! I start going in the direction shown and break into a run. it takes a couple of minutes of running to reach the forest but I'm completely exhausted. [-Pant-Pant- are we almost their]? {We are about an eighth of the way there}. That was a reply I wasn't hoping for. {Just keep walking}. [Alright Alright remember you the one getting a ride from me]
After taking a few steps forward I hear a low growling coming from behind. I know this growl well enough the one who tormented me and my mortal enemy the Bear. I go to draw my knife which isn't there *Whoops forgot I lost it Oh well*. {Master want me to take care of it}? [No, This is an enemy I must face alone] *But how do I fight without a weapon? Oh yeah, I had claw arts. Getting into a battle-ready stance I charge at the bear. [TIME TO MEET YOUR MAKER TUBBY]! I shout my battle cry as our arms connect. Well it was more like my claws hit the air and his paw hits straight into my face as I go flying. I smack right into a tree as I lose the functions of my limbs. The bear gets closer getting ready for a snack. At that point, however, Max jumps out of my shadows tackling the bear. both are around the same size so he pins it and bares his teeth into the bear's neck. [ No my Nemises] I moan as I sit slumped against the tree.

{Look I'm getting tired of this after we finish this quest I'm going to train you got it}. I have no energy right now to argue with him [Well can you carry me I can't move]? {Fine} after slumping me over his shoulders and starts carrying me to the objective. And now my Nemesis is dead and all I lost was a bit of pride and maybe a few brain cells. I'd say this is a win in my book.
After a couple of minutes of Max running, we finally got there. [See I told you it's hard when you the one carrying somebody]. {It wasn't besides when I'm in your Shadow's I don't weigh anything your just out of shape} I had no retort besides the usual man I got to think of better comebacks. [Well it seems like our quest has begun let's go]. And with that, we make our way to the entrance of the goblins den. Preparing ourselves for what comes next I let out a smile. There aren't any bears to mess me up this time so I'm feeling good about this.

Toothpick
“Hello! My humble audience! I, the Bard of the North, am going to tell you a tale. Nothing new, nothing old. A story of a hero, some may say, others a poor boy who was hated by the world.” The storyteller paused as he waited, right timing was everything when telling a story. Pacing… Too slow and the audience became bored then left without tossing even the smallest of coins. If he spoke too fast and rushed the story. It would leave the audience confused and having no reason to be impressed. So like any good storyteller, the Bard has to do a balancing act of sorts. Not too slow, not too fast. Just perfectly in the middle. “In a shattered country in the south, a novice princeling has the ambition to mend a torn tapestry that is his birthplace. Struggling to fend off those who would usurp the throne in an unending civil war spanning centuries. A mercenary that left only death in his wake, unable to stave off the monotony and peace of life. He looks back at the path laden with bodies, wondering if it was all worth it. Wandering souls summoned by a madman, travel away from a wasteland in a foreign land, the first alone, the others as companions. A deity, ancient in her years, waiting to be freed from a duty she no longer enjoys. For all these people and their stories, none are the hero of this tale. No, the hero is not grand, not wise, not ready.. he was punished for nothing of his doing, who was an outcast that was unloved by many, including his father.” This was always the big reveal novices use to jump off into their story. He did not start here, instead, like any good fishermen, he set the bait and waited until the fish bit before pulling. As he saw the audience's eyes focus, he then started the backstory. The harness, that stopped the listeners from having metaphorical whiplash. The foreshadowing. “But that is not where the story starts. No, not even the hero's birth. Where the story begins, is the boredom of the deity, a deity many know of. She who hunts for the impossible, the guide for those who have lost the path, the Huntress of Mallon--” A small pause, a short breath. “--All old names for a single powerful being that has roamed the grounds of this continent longer than any line of kings or queens, lords or ladies. A being of worship for many an individual…” One last breath. And he began singing the first verse.

The Great Erectus and Faun
The Great Erectus, otherwise known as "The Big Guy" is NOT a god. Don't call him that. It will tick him off. He and his newfound apprentice/sidekick the definitely not a creation goddess Faun have a little problem. The Big Guy's universe is blowing up. Faun might have had something to do with that. (She feels awful about it BTW) They must rush about the unraveling universe saving (or judging) worlds as the end of all things is bearing down upon them at the speed of light, so they have a bit of time but really can't mess about. Along the way they will encounter Lovecraftian horrors, divine ex-girlfriends, surly AI's and a host of other hassles. Enjoy such delights as the complete destruction of the universe, a children's "Christmas pageant" except where "the greatest story ever told" involves an eldritch horror from another universe, and an innocent misunderstanding concerning the exact definition of a "red dwarf". Existential dread! Lovecraftian comedy! It's as much madness as can be shoved into a single work and still remotely make sense! If you enjoy completely off the hook lunacy, this one is for you!
