Chapter 17 Brilmah’s Iniquitous King
After hours of gruelling consult from General Windum, I was now being dragged away towards Brilmah’s king private courtyard as a packaged offering. It didn’t take long for the servants to transport me outside the king’s private chambers. General Windum was leading the way. When he knocked on the door he received the approval of entry. I stayed outside and listened to the conversation coming from within.
“It is I, your trusted vassal my king. I’ve returned from my long travels to No Man’s Land.”
“Oh, and what of the rumours surrounding that celestial blade, General Windum? Have you confirmed its existence?”
“Not only have I confirmed its existence but I’ve also claimed its sharpness for you, my king. Bring them in!”
The moment the servants heard General Windum's shout, they opened the door leading to their king’s quarters and brought me in along with the holy sword that was being carried in the grasp of a nervous servant. She was able to hold the blade without any repercussions due to her standing close to my range which limited the soul-draining properties.
“My king allow me to introduce to you the celestial blade.”
General Windum stepped to the side, allowing a clear path for the king to observe the holy blade. I took this opportunity to observe the king as well. A suave young man sitting blithely in a lavish throne while being donned in fine raiment was being attended to by 4 beautiful women who had most of their satin flesh exposed. These gorgeous women were feeding the king grapes; massaging his shoulders, posing in his lap and washing his already clean feet.
When our gazes met, something ghostly triggered within my left eye. Parts of the room started becoming dim as a bloodthirsty puddle appeared below my feet. It seemed as if I was the only person capable of seeing all of these peculiarities that were taking place within the king’s chamber.
My Eye of Ghost perceived a toxic trace of headless women surrounding the suave young king. They were sauntering aimlessly across the bloodthirsty puddle while cursing indistinctive expletive at the boastful king. As I continued to soak in all of this eerie scenery, one of the headless women noticed that I could perceive their spiritual nature and approached my ear.
“AAAAAAAAA!” I heard deafening screams coming from the headless woman even though she had no mouth to speak out of. I tried covering my ear with my hand that was still bound by the chains. It was shortly after I realized that even if I had managed to cover my ears it wouldn’t have mitigated the terrible screams because all of this was taking place in another realm where the Lure of the Dead thrived.
“KYAAAAA!” My facial apertures started bleeding as I unwillingly continued listening to the headless woman’s scream. When she realized that her ambiguous screaming wasn’t getting through to me, she stopped her killer voice and softly grasp my jaw with her hand. Surreptitious Knowledge began flowing into my mind. It was then that I realized the truly heinous nature of the man who governed Brilmah.
The headless woman conveyed to me her story by using the dialect of my mother’s tongue. “Brave warrior please hear my tale before I completely lose all my cognizance to the Lure of Vengeance. I was not always without a head. My name is Tiff Marie. I was born and raised in the neighbouring land of Brilmah. I was known as the most beautiful amongst my peers. As a result, many ardent suitors sought my hand in marriage. I was faced with a cruel dilemma known as choice. I was attracted to many of these men who offered me their ceremonious hands but my parents groomed me to be a virtuous and compassionate woman. Hence I couldn’t choose more than one suitor.

It was during that unsettling period of choice when I met him. The suave young man known as, Louch B. Shuzzon. At that time, I had no idea that he was a king of Brilmah, however, I could tell that he was from an affluent background due to the elegant way in which he carried himself and by how eloquently he spoke. After spending some time with king Shuzzon, I came to know and be interested in many aspects of life. I was infatuated with this man who broadened my horizons. He proposed that we started courting and naturally I accepted his proposal. Every time I was in his company my heart would go— [Ba-dump! Ba-dump! Ba-dump!]
Our courtship lasted for exactly 3 months before the king offered me his hand in marriage. The proposal was done secretly hence not many people of the Brilmah kingdom knew about it. When I asked Louch why he didn’t want to publicize our marriage, he responded to my enquiry by saying that he didn’t wish for my beauty to be pry upon by the eyes’ of others. I interpreted this as a romantic gesture with the thought in my mind that he would eventually have to reveal our relationship to the public soon enough.
On the night of our surreptitious wedding, king Shuzzon took me to his bed-chamber to consummate our union. I was so excited to become one with this man whom I loved, I gave extra care to my body so that I may be able to satisfy his sexual desires. I knew him being king would call for the expansion of his harem in the near future, thus I wanted to please his needs in the most mesmerizing way in which he wouldn’t forget about me. During our fated copulation, I experienced a mind-blowing bliss like none other. Of course, this was before king Shuzzon devilish nature was revealed to me.
As our union grew more intense I felt king Shuzzon’s grasp tightened around my thin neck. At first, I thought that he was just into rough play and was going to eventually ease up. However, his violent tendencies only grew fiercer until it escalated into an irremissible plight. King Shuzzon bound my limbs with his libidinous muscles. As I was struggling to free myself from his rough entanglement, I noticed him reaching for his noble sword that was resting at the bedside. After acquiring its sharpness I saw him thrusting towards my head with a blissful sinister grim to his countenance.
In my moment of peril, I couldn’t believe that the man whom I had fallen in love with was such a wicked brute. The next thing I knew, my head was cut clean off my body. After I had died I found myself aimlessly wandering between the veils of the afterlife. Time continued to flow casually and I started realizing that I was being joined by many other beautiful women who also suffered the same decapitation fetish of the iniquitous king. I bonded with these poor souls to have my revenge against King Shuzzon or at least warned the ladies who were around him of his dangerous nature, but no matter how hard we tried we could not interact with the realm of the living. So I’m asking you this favour, brave warrior. Please seek vengeance for our plight. Only when king Shuzzon has joined us in the afterlife will we be able to unload our cumbersome burden.”

Finished listening to the headless soul’s tale, my eye grew teary with salty droplets leaking out. Her tale was so in-depth and touching it roused something doleful within my spiritual nature. If I still had a heart, it would have also palpitated irregularly. I made no promises to the vengeful soul. When I was about to convey my thoughts to her, I heard the viperous tongue of king Shuzzon.
“General Windum who is that ugly man shedding tears on my veneer floor? And why is he in chains?”
“My king, this man was the one who unsheathed the holy sword from the summit of No Man’s Land. I have asked for his name and where he comes from, however, he refused to answer.”
“So this man is the chosen one?” King Shuzzon rose from his throne with a valiant air of hubris encompassing his noble mien, moreover, he slowly began his advance towards me. [Step! Step! Step!] “General Windum, why haven’t you killed him and free the holy sword from his grasp?”
“My lord, believe me, I’ve tried. But this man is undying. No matter how many times we’ve slashed nor how many arrows we shot into him, he kept on clinging to his miserable life.”
“Undying you say? So the holy sword has granted its chosen the gift of immortality? What a rare find. I want a taste of immortality as well.” [Reach!] King Shuzzon stretched his greedy hand towards the holy blade, however, he hadn’t time to grasp its sharpness for General Windum stayed his arm.
“Wait, my king! That sword is very dangerous. 10,000 warriors have already fallen to its sharp edges.”
“Oh? Then why is this servant girl allowed to hold it but I’m not? Is the king of Brilmah less worthy than this peasant?”
“You’ve mistaken. My lord.” General Windum hurriedly apologised for his abrupt tone and intervention. “My King. Let me warn you of what I’ve found out thus far about this holy blade. For one, it will bring instant death to whoever carries it from this undying man’s proximity. Even if you hold its naked tips for just a minute you will feel your soul starting to drain. Hence the reason why it is wrapped in so many thick cloths. It was the only way for the servant to present it to you, my lord. As of now, we have yet to find out just how much power this holy blade is capable of exuding. I’ve made sure to bind this man so that he wouldn’t be able to use the blade against us. I was hoping that you would figure out a way to wield its mighty powers, my king.”
“You’ve done well, my liegeman. I will find a way to harness the powers of this blade no matter the cost. Everyone leave us! I shall have a chat with this undying man in private.”
“Yes, my lord.”
Majority of the folks which were present inside king Shuzzon’s chambers began vacating their presence. When it was only me and him remaining in the lavish edifice, he knelt before me and touched my chin with his iniquitous hand. I glared intensely at his chiselled face. If my eye was a dagger it would have cut through his head several times over. A man who received sensual thrills from decapitating women during sex is no fan in my book.
“Wo-ho-ho. Easy there, tiger. It is rude to stare so disrespectfully at a king don’t you know? Then again I suppose an uncouth barbarian such as yourself isn’t aware of common etiquette among civilised people. Do you even understand the words that are coming out of my mouth? It doesn’t matter whether you refuse to speak. Sooner or later I will find out your secrets. First thing first, are you really undying?”
After asking me this question, king Shuzzon tossed my chin out of his embrace, got up and retrieve his sword which was leaning beside a wooden table. He came back over to where I was with a wry smile to his countenance. He was such a ruthless bastard, he didn’t try cutting off my finger first to see if I was undying, instead, he brutally chopped off my entire right leg. [Slash!]
“KYAAAH!” My hurtful cries echoed throughout the king’s chamber.
“Wo-ho-ho-ho. So you do have a voice after all. For such an ugly-looking man you sure know how to sing me a sweet serenade. Why don’t I take your other leg?” [Slash! Slash!]
“KYAAAAH!”
“Wo-ho-ho-ho! Splendid! Splendid! I like your tune undying warrior!”
This heinous king! I wanted to rip his spine from his back and stuff down his stinking throat. He was way crueller than that duplicitous pale witch who tried to abduct my well-endowed baby-maker. To further confirm my undying nature, king Shuzzon pounced all over me while torturing me. I could see my own intestines. What was this monstrosity? Such atrocities had been done to me. He drank my blood like cold tea, almost draining me completely. King Shuzzon even tried to suck my soul away, his torturing almost devour me! My brief experience with this tyrant was so scary!
“Wo-ho-ho-ho!” King Shuzzon terrifying laughter almost broke me to pieces. He defiled my baby-maker along with the vessels of my sins. He was the devil incarnate! If this man were grasp control of the holy blade then the bowels of hell would definitely wreak havoc upon the lands of man.
I tried resisting king Shuzzon’s Lure of Torture but there was nothing I could do against his apex barbarity. He spoke of barbarians as uncouth creatures who lacked all manner of etiquette but his sinful display of torment overshadowed his bias description.
“Wo-ho-ho-ho! It seems you are an undying man after all. I’ve cut you in so many places even pulled out your remaining viscera and you’re still able to glare at me with that disrespectful gaze. What a fierce barbarian. Wo-ho-ho-ho.”
