《Starbound: A Space Odyssey》Traitor (4)

Of the five aircrafts that descended from the sky, only two of them landed on the planet. The other three kept hovering just above Jevil, his soldiers and the house.
Accompanying the aircrafts, 15 mechs also landed heavily on the ground, throwing vast amount of snow up in the air.
All the vehicles were colored entirely in red and white, just like the logo of the corporation, and also fully weaponized.
The mechs on both side were made of Titanium, Tier 3 armory.
It was way expensive to make a lot of mechs made of Durasteel, so they usually made of Titanium that is easier to find and extract, and thus a lot cheaper.
Of course, to maintain a certain degree of safety, the mechs were built with some more layers of the metal, and they also had forcefield around them.
The mechs were fueled by batteries made of Core Fragments, which is the best energy source beside Erchius liquid and Erchius crystal.
On the aircrafts hovering, there was turrets, missile launchers, and lasers, all aiming at Jevil and his soldiers.
The mechs were using almost the same weapons the Nova Rebellion's mechs were using, a medium to long-range weapon, a side firearm and a gun for close-range.
They stood straight right in front of one of the aircraft that had landed.
Their weapons were raised and ready to fire at anyone in Jevil's side that would make any suspicious move.
Jevil calmly watched as all this happened with a small smile on his face.
His soldiers, on the other hand, had their backs filled with cold sweat.
They were living beings and as such afraid of death. But they knew their mission, to protect Jevil, even if it means to throw away their lives.
So, they kept their position and ready to fight.

If they were going to die, they would make sure to bring a few enemies with them down to hell. This was their mentality after they made up their mind and hardened their emotions and conviction.
The door of the aircraft in the middle slowly opened.
A row of armed soldiers wearing Tier 4 bulky armors made of Durasteel left the aircraft first and entered in position beside the door.
Different from the lightweight Tier 4 armor that was being worn by the Nova Rebellion's soldiers, the one in the Letheia side was way stronger and resistant.
From within the aircraft, a slim figure slowly walked out.
It was a beautiful pale blue, female Hylotl.
She was wearing an ornamental, white, leather armor that was tight on her slim body, and there was a sheathed katana on the left side of her waist.
The Hylotl's three, crimson eyes immediately focused on Jevil that was on the other side, behind the barricade that the Rebellion's soldier created.
"Itsuki, how are you on this beautiful day?" Jevil greeted her with a wide smile on his face.
Itsuki's three eyes gleamed with anger and coldness when she heard the way Jevil was speaking with her.
"Who allowed you to call me by the name, traitor Jevil Redhook." She pronounced each word through her tightened lips.
"Wahhh..." Jevil cowered behind on the soldiers and only peeked out with his head. "Why are you so angry~?" He said with a playful tone.
Itsuki gnashed her teeth together. "You still have to ask? You surely know why I'm here."
"Of course, I know. I just want to know how you will deal with this mess?"
"Why would I tell you? I'm going to smash that annoying smile from your face first."

"Not going to kill me? I'm glad to know." Jevil's smile widened, and he flirtatiously winked, "Did you fell in love with me?"
Itsuki's eyes got a few degrees colder when she heard Jevil, "I'm going to rip your mouth and cut off your tongue."
Such low provocation coming from Jevil wouldn't work if Itsuki were in her usual self, but at the moment she filled with anger and shame since she was the one who hired Jevil and continuously had him promoted. The responsibility of him betraying the organization would partially fall upon her.
Of course, Sumeragi Hanzo, her father, would deal with some of the criticism, but there was no way the Reef Faction would let the chance slip to use such event against Itsuki and the Central Faction.
She was filled with anger right now, and thus, she didn't realize the sly intentions hidden behind Jevil's smile.
"Don't be so agressive." Jevil said in a playful tone while he played with his tie. "While I like a strong, independent woman, I dislike the forceful and unreasonable types."
"Jevil..." Itsuki's eyes grew colder after each word uttered by Jevil. "Just turn yourself in. Don't make this harder than it has to be."
"Turn me in?" Jevil madly laughed without restriction and spoke in a mocking tone, "I know very well what awaits me. It's something worse than death; after all, I have dealt with traitors for the Letheia Corporation before. I know very well the treatment they received, even the more "VIP" treatment isn't something that I'm willing to go through."
Itsuki squinted her three eyes and spoke in a grave and cold tone, "Then I have no other choice but to take you by force." Her hand gripped the sheath of the sword, while the other hand went toward the katana's handle.
Jevil chuckled and retrieved two objects from his PIPS.
It was two gauntlets, made of some red metal.
As soon as he wore the gauntlets, they started to produce fire. It looked like Jevil's hands were on fire, but his face was casual, and it didn't seem like he was feeling the immense heat on his hands.
His eyes glowed with an even stronger light than usual, his bright red hair swayed with the strong frosty wind, creating quite a contrast between him and the white surroundings.
The moment Itsuki's katana left the sheath, the ground around her started fastly freeze in solid ice and not snow.
The air around her got several degrees colder. It was cold enough to freeze someone to death in a matter of seconds.
Jevil's blazing eyes locked with Itsuki's freezing eyes.
The pressure around the soldiers of both sides grew exponentially.

The Shadows Become Her
A fantasy progression, a coming of age story, and a tale of revenge... Alvixia "Vix" Altorelli's idyllic childhood is disrupted in one tragic night when the duke's fanatics ransack the Altorelli home and imprison the rest of her family, selling them into slavery across the ocean. Vix soon finds herself fleeing for her life and her freedom, fleeing to the faraway city of Floria on an island ruled by the mysterious Nurass, Prince of Shadows. In Floria, Vix's sharp mind and talent for magic land her a spot at the Perdita Free Collegium, the world's greatest school for spies, saboteurs, swashbucklers, seductresses and, some claim, practitioners of dark magic... and that suits Vix just fine. If the Collegium wants to give Vix the tools she needs to save her family and get her revenge on Duke Orso, she'll take that deal any day of the week and twice on Saintsdays, even if that means making a deal with the Prince of Shadows himself. This is Vix's tale. Author's Note: Now that Writathon 2022 is over, updates will be on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays!
8 95The Ruins of Magincia
They say all things end in time, but the exalted City of Magi would’ve begged to differ. Yet when an attempted coup goes wrong, the city finds itself brought to the very brink of destruction. In the wake of the calamity that left no survivors, the autonomous infrastructure still operating the ruined city seeks to restore what was lost. Luckily for it, the Mana-devoid Universe it awoke in holds an unexpected surprise: a planet full of sentient life forms. All capable—with a little help—to become the next generation of Magi. Back on Earth, Millie McArthur is a pregnant out-of-work mechanic struggling with the prospect of moving back in with her parents after leaving her unfaithful fiancé. That is until she finds herself just one of the hundreds that have been shanghaied by the callous artificial constructs still manning the ruins of Magincia. Now, she must struggle to learn magic, compete for resources, get good 'grades,' and fulfill the seemingly arbitrary requirements for her future job in this broken city. All while keeping herself, and her son, alive. Is the miracle of magic really enough to make up for all the pain? The Ruins of Magincia is a dark fantasy that's heavy on the drama (LitRPG aspects are very light). Chapter lengths can be anywhere from 7k-12k and there's no current release schedule as I'm focusing on wrapping up volume one.
