《Godling》Chapter 4

All around the planet dark clouds gathered, they collided and merged before forming massive storm clouds that streched all over the planet. Sensing the strange phenomenon the aquatic life in the lakes seemed to flee to the bottem of the their lakes in fear, even the forest at the bottem of the largest lake shook in strange ways.

With a bolt of lightning signifying that start of the event the storm clouds started to release a down poor of water. Over the course of a had pockets of water formed before rapidly expanding and merging with surrounding bodies of water to create massive oceans shallow seas perfect for aquatic life to thrive.

After the year long event the planet was spilt into 6 continents and a multitude of islands that varied in size and shape. The six continents could also be split up into one super continent, two large continents, and three small continents.

From the continuous flow of lava from the crimson dragon's volcano it's island quickly became one of the spall continents but was the smallest of the three. Life had a hard tome adapting to the high temperatures but around the edges of the continent life slowly started to take shape in the form of fish that could swim in lakes and rivers of bubbling lava and a type of tree that thrives in high temperatures.

The aquatic forest also had an expansion of its own, covering an area of at lest 3 times greater then the area it covered before year long storm.

After more time passed the continents of muddy soil proved perfect for grass and trees to grow, what started as small patches quickly became wide plains and great forests that covered the entire continent. The mountains left from the time the whole planet was covered in lava helped brake apart the green and added a bit of gray and white.

Each continent quickly became full of vibrant life that was untouched. Great plains that streched fro miles and ancient forests that grew to staggering heights.

The smarter of the aquatic life by the continents noticed the rapid change and couldn't help but be confused, this was too much for their small minds to understand so they quickly ignored the change and went on their way while only a few choose to move closer to the more lush parts of the water surrounding the continents.

"Elders, we just got news that the defensive line has fallen, the undead will reach our capital in a matter of days!"

A pale blue elf stood before the high consel shaking in fear at the news of their defeat.

"Elder Aiduin, I hope that you'll be able to speed it up a bit so that we can leave before they get here?" The tall golden skinned elf looked at the pale blue elf with an impatient gaze.

"Yes...but it will still take a day, and doing this will cause our chances of success to shrink and the chance of failure to rise." He looked at every elder one by one getting confirmation before leaving to room in a hurry.

"Were playing with life here...if we don't escape before they reach us..well die just like every other elf that is currently marching with our enemies." The dark skinned elf looked at the tall golden skinned elf paying close attention to her reaction.

"Now is not the time elder almar, we must do our parts of the plan, my people will ward the walls to hopefully tide the swarm."

"And my people will lay the battle field with enough traps to possible hold them back half a day at best."

The tanned elf and the tall golden skinned elf got up from their seats and left the room leaving elder almar by himself.

"...If this plan fails, then at least my people have a way out..." As his words echoed through the now empty room he faded into shadows.

After returning home Julie found herself sitting in the living messing around with a laptop on the coffe table in front of her.

"Come on, what did he say his password was again..."

After a bit of trial and error she was able to get in to the laptop.

"Mike and his stupidly long passwords..." After a bit of grumbling and some minor treats she starts to explore what the laptop has to offer.

"...So far nothing that seems mildly interesting, should have figured...wait, what's this?"

She found a game hidden pretty well in the laptop files called godling, after contemplating whether she should thouch her brother's game curiosity won out and she opened it.

The opening intro played and she quickly got drawn into the game, after it was finished she was given the option to choose a planet to look after, and after a couple of minutes searching for a what looked to be good planet she confirmed her choice.

Planet Name: Maria

Difficultly rating: 1 Star

Life expectancy: 3 Stars

"What a cute little name..."

The screen focused on the planet and the first thing that caught her attention was the massive tower that shot up into the sky.

Moving her cursor over the tower made her curiosity peak.

God's Tower

The inhabitants of this world built this tower as a way to commune with their god, but in recent times it is seen as more of a plague then blessing.

"Such a dark description for such a pretty tower..."

The planet was full of life, the inhabitants looked like humans with great white feathered wings that were walking around medieval looking towns and cities.

Observing the fascinating race she quickly lost track of time and day turned to night.

"I think I better shut it down and just look at it tomorrow..."

As she went to power the laptop down she saw a bunch of the planets inhabitants surrounding a small little village next to a large forest.

"People of Hicar village, you have been found to worship the treacherous god, and by the order of her holy ness we shall purge you from this world!"

A man stood before the army surrounding the small village his voice being amplified by something causing his words to echo in the surround area.

After a short wait the man signaled somthing and the army quickly approached the small village.

Some warriors of the village quickly charged towards the small army and fought to by time for the rest of the villagers to try and escape into the forest. After a one sided slaughter the army made way into the village and started working on tearing it down.

"General, do we follow to traitors?" A soilder kneeled before the man that was shouting before.

"It is no use...they surely know the forest like the back of their hand and the children of Krum will surely kill them."

After finishing their destruction of the village they burned what was left and headed back towards their outpost not too far away from the village.

"How sad, why did they kill those innocent people just because of their religion?"

Out of the corner of her eye she found the tab in the corner of the screen label choices and clicked on it.

As you do not own this race you do not have full control over this planet.

Your options are limited.
