《Godling》Chapter 1

In a small little two-room apartment a man is getting ready bed. He's five feet tall with a skinny build and bright blue eyes.

With his head resting against his pillow he drifted off into deep sleep.

During the night a power outage occurred leaving his apartment building without power well into the night.

He woke up to the sound of his phone, he was late for work and his boss was pretty pissed off.

Rushing without grabbing a bite to eat he quickly changed and was out the door.

He worked at the local corner store and it wasn't enough money so he also had to get a job as a garbage man during the summer when his boss is out on vacation with his wife.

Back at the apartment his lights flicker on and off before completely shutting off. After a couple minutes they turn on again while slowly becoming brighter before popping with a burst of bright blue light.

One by one the lightbulbs pop heading in the direction of his bedroom. Before the lights could pop in his bedroom a wisp of blue light jumps from the lightbulb into the computer.

His computer starts to shake as it turns on with an low humming noise. The computer screen turns blue with a bunch of weird symbols flying across the screen before transitioning into the word uploading.

After returning home he went to go turn on the kitchen lights but they didn't turn on, same with the bathroom lights. Annoyed he makes his way towards his room and finds his computer turned on.

"What's this..."

On his screen was a notification alerting him to a new program installed onto his computer. With a little bit of searching he found the program in plain sight.

"...Godling..."

With a quick search on the internet nothing showed up for the program godling. After a bit of thinking he clicked on the program to see what it was.

"If it screws up my pc it was about time to get a new one..."

He was greeted with a gray screen, after a couple of seconds a black dot appeared in the center of the screen and started to draw in all the gray.

It took about five minutes before the black dot--now the size of tennis ball--to finish absorbing all of the grey. But when it did, with a burst of light the black dot exploded into cloudy like mist full of all types of colors.

"Huh?"

Piece of the black dot scattered all through out the mist and started to absorb the surrounding mist before turning into a myriad of stars.

While he continued to observe more and more mist was used to form more and more stars. The left over mist was used to form an unimaginable amount of celestial bodies that either crashed into each other or started orbiting the stars, and for some it was both.

Where the black dot once was now lies a huge black hole. It draws in the surrounding stars that are too close and shreds them to pieces. What's left over is sucked up into the black hole, from one of the stars a piece of the black dot is drawn to the center of the black hole.

Onvm it reached the center the strength of the black hole grew while decreasing in size a bit.

You have witnessed the end of the age of chaos.

Let it be known that the age of Mythos has begon!

"Mythos?"

And he continued to observe his screen.

Slowly, under the effects of the pull from the black hole in the center of the world, a spiral galaxy with thee spirals took shape.

In all honest it was a beautiful scene depicting the birth of a world.

His screen zoomed in to a solar system around the middle of one of the spirals. It had four terrestrial planets orbiting a huge bright red star.

Choose a planet to look after

"No harm done, might as well see what this does before i go buying a new pc..."

Moving his cursor to the planet closet to the star and clicking on it showed the planet on fire.

"Definitely not this one..."

Moving his cursor to the second closet to the star and clicking on it showed him the planet almost completely covered in lava with volcanoes spewing even more lava.

Planet Name: Unkown

Difficulty Rating: 5 Stars

Life expectancy: Less then 1 Star

"So choosing this one is pretty much like some sort of hardcore mode..."

Curious he moved his cursor to the planet farthest from the star and clicked.

Planet Name: Unkown

Difficulty Rating: 5 Stars

Life expectancy: Less then 1 Star

It was pretty much a planet sized chunk of ice, what made it worse was the fact that it had no form of layers to keep out the freezing temperatures of space.

"Welp, that just leaves one planet left..."

Moving his cursor to the last planet he loiled slightly disappointed when all it showed was a piece of barren rock.

Planet Name: Unkown

Difficulty Rating: 3 Stars

Life expectancy: 2 Stars

"Why is it still so difficult?"

Moving his cursor over the sun gave him the answer.

Chaos star

A seed of chaos lies within the center of this star. It acts as a gateway to the realms of chaos, periodically brings of chaos are able to use this seed to cross over into the mundane realm.

Releases an energy that is hard to control in its base form.

"This seed is a piece from that dot..."

Continuing on this little adventure he moves back to the only planet in this solar system that has really any chance of life and double clicks.

Do you wish to choose this rock as your planet?

"...sure, why not, not giving me any of their option here."

And with one more click he confirmed the planet as his.

His screen focused on the barren planet while digging up the space surrounding it. After a couple of seconds a list of options appeared before him.

As your planet is void of life your options are limited.

• Summon astroid

• Sleep

"The hell kind of options are these!"

• Summon astroid - creates a pull on nearby asteroids towards your planet

• Sleep - a form of hibernation for godling's, you will temporarily sleep while passing time.

"So so far all I can do is summon some asteroids and then sleep to pass time..."

With a look of boredom he activated [summon astroid] and then activated [Sleep].

It didn't take long for his screen to turn black and a prompt appeared allowing him to choose how long he wanted to sleep, with nothing better to do he set it so that it would sleep until he manually stops it.

With nothing else to do he got up from his computer and changed into comfy cloths. Already a couple hours passed and he had work tomorrow so it didn't take long for him to fall asleep.
