*Pffffffffffffffff* “LEVEL 2? DIDN’T YOU JUST START?...” Mei exclaims as she spits her tea in surprise.

“I did, just 2 days ago, but… is this supposed to be a shock? I mean, isn’t it just level 2? I thought it’d be quick to reach… it seems menial to me.”

“WHAT DO YOU MEAN MENIAL? Based of statistics of past adventurers, the average adventurers take at least a year to reach level 2 and those that are crowned the kings, the Red Crimson’s fastest level 2 was still 1 month and 3 days… nobody thought that that record could be defeated… AND YOU’RE TELLING ME IT WAS DEFEATED… it wasn’t even a small defeat, your record is far beyond the Red Crimsons.”

“Actually, thinking about it, the Red Crimsons highest levels are 8… so actually, it makes sense that level 2 wouldn’t be reached that easily…”

“There really is something special in you isn’t there? Your guild insignia is also massive and glistening.”

“O-ohhh… no, I don’t think so… I got lucky I suppose… hahahaha” I said with a slightly flustered face.

“But if I did manage to level up do you think we could go down to the lower levels? Having 3 people would definitely increase our expenses on daily needs, this means we need to increase our income right? I think we should head down to the lower levels today, I’ve got enough rest and I need to check out this level up… I don’t feel any different however.”

“We should head to the… wait, actually before that, Kuyomi? Are you okay going down to the dungeon again? I don’t want to force you into doing anything you’re not comfortable with.”

“I do not feel good going down to the dungeon again, but I do not want to burden Fenix at the same time, I will muster up my courage to head down with you. I cannot stay like this, and unlike my last guild, I believe that I will be in safe hands from now on.”

*Sincerely smiles*

“Alright then, before we go as I was saying before, we should head to the administrations center, they have dungeon advisors there, we should consult them about the lower levels before we head down, and while we’re at it get some items from the shops in the Armis district.”

The Armis district are one of the districts in the continent Fenris, Fenris contains of a total of 12 districts, the Armis district being the district that is famous and visited for their dungeon gears and items. Such as, armor, weapons, potions. The district where we’re living at is the Rozenburgh district, in the continent of Fenris there are the top 5 guilds usually called “Fenris Gerents” and the ranked 1 in the Fenris Gerents are the Red Crimsons or more actually, they have been the reigning strongest guild in Fenris since Estier 698, the current Estier is 748.

District 1 - RozenBurgh is the capital of Fenris, it is located by the sea in between the rest of the districts, it carries the biggest of the 3 bridges that connects out to the dungeons, District 2, is where Armis is at. Districts 1 are where all the top guilds live, it’s that way because of the advantage of distance towards the dungeons and the fact that all properties and land in District 1 sell for a very high price. District 2 are where the top blacksmithing and trading guilds reside, District 3 and 4 are the other 2 districts with bridges towards the dungeons too, the properties there are about the same price as District 2, the top 50 guilds usually reside in this area. District 5 and 6 are where the lower tier of the top guilds reside. The rest of the districts are for the lower ranked guilds. The lower the district number, the higher the price of property and land.

As we’re walking in the streets of Rozenburgh towards the administrations center, I could feel judgemental eyes across me, some in admiration and some in absolute jealousy.

“Why are people starting to look at me? Did I do something wrong?”

“Uuuuu….” Kuyomi held my shirt with her index and thumb and stayed close to me

“It’s okay Kuyomi, I’m here. Don’t worry about it.”

“But still though, what’s this… it’s a really weird stare, I’m not very used to this.”

“Hmmmm, it must be that… you’ll find out soon enough.”

“This kind of gazes are different though, their more… kind? More… hateful? … I just used to get looks of disgust for being a poor kid.”

“Well, you’ll find out soon, we’re here.”

The shiny golden bell rung as I opened the door to the administrators center, I felt the rush of enthusiastic adventurers bustling around the center. It gives you the motivation to be zealous. But there was an unusual crowd at the side of the administrators center.

I saw Otosaka-san in the corner of my eyes carrying some books from a shelf towards the counter, as a group of 3 we headed towards her direction.

“Hey Otosaka-san, my guild got bigger over the last 3 days.”

“That’s great progress Fenix-san, so how can I help you today?”

“I just leveled up to level 2 yesterday, so I wa-”

In an instance, Otosaka-san dropped the books she was carrying on the floor and stood there stunned for a second…

“DID YOU JUST SAY YOU LEVELED UP TO LEVEL 2…..??????????”

“Yeah I did, just yesterday.”

“IN A MERE 2 DAYS?”

“I suppose so?”

“Wh-wh….” As if Otosaka was in replay she just kept repeating the unfinished word what.

“Oooooooooooi… hello?” I said as I waved my hands infront of Otosaka’s face.

“Well I guess that’s the normal reaction, I mean who levels up in just 2 days?” said Mei with a wry smile on her face.

“Yup, Kuyomi agrees”

And in this instance, as if time has returned to Otosaka, she snapped back into her normal self.

“This is a big deal Fenix-san, ca-”

“Can you just call me Fenix? The honorifics are not needed.”

“Oh, okay, if that’s the case you should call me Sara too.”

“Alright, that’s a deal.”

“In any case Fenix, if that’s the case it means you must be on the boards, no wonder you’re getting all those stares, they used to be for a different case didn’t they?”

“The boards? What do you mean by the boards?”

“When you leveled up to level 2, did you notice that the einrit records all of this down?”

“Oh it does? That’s new to me, I never knew.”

“Yup, and when it does record all of this down, it sends it to the boards, the boards are the statistics of those that have reached a certain something, for example, there are the highest stats for Agility, Strength, you get it. And there is the 2 most important boards. The highest level, and the fastest time achieved to level up from a certain level. Let me show you.”

Sara says as she grabs my hand and drags me of to another part of the administration center, it’s at the side wall of the center with a board that looks like? …. Light? Floating light? It’s a light board.

On the boards were listed, Top ranks, Top Stats, Top Achieved time, Top Guilds.

And 3 of the boards caught my attention.
