A deep orange sky looks over the city of Bonze. The cold evening air begins to fill the streets. Dipp, Oliver and Pallas stand before a large building enveloping the street corner, made of lavish stone bricks. A large wood burned sign hangs at the entrance.

"So this is the Adventure's Hub. It's a lot bigger then I'd imagined" Pallas said in a nervous tone. He'd been dreaming of going on for so long. In a statue-like state, he stares at the building, trying to bring himself to go inside.

"LETS GOO!" Dipp yells, the excitement filling his words as he chares forward inside the building. Pallas lets out a half-hearted laugh as he charges behind the eager Dipp. Oliver, with a small smile on his face, follows behind the two in a slow pace, accustomed to there antics.

Inside adventurers gathered, some sitting comfortably around tables sitting on plush couches. Some standing around boards laced with requests. In the centre of the room, a large wooden counter covers the room from one wall to the other. Receptionists sit hard at work behind the counter. The three stands at the entrance confused on where they should go.

"Over here! you can come here if you're new here!" A large man says as he waves to them, getting their attention quickly. Oliver understands, heads over to the man with Dipp and Pallas closely behind. Uncertain, the two walk glancing around the room rapidly as they walk to the counter.

"Welcome to the Adventure Hub. What can I do for you?" The large muscular man said in a polite tone.

"We are here to register for as Adventurers. My name is Oliver Mould. These Two are Dipp and Pallas." Oliver said in a formal voice. Quickly the receptionist began to write down the information Oliver provided. Dipp peers over the counter, letting out a small gasp as he notices the mans hand. A wooden hand full of markings and etchings sits in place of the man's original hand. Hearing the mouse-like gasp, he looks up to Dipp.

"Oh, this thing? My hand is one of the outcomes of being a reckless adventurer. It's not as bad as you'd think, magic and science make it, so it's pretty similar to my old one" The man explains politely to the confused Dipp. Clenching and unclenching his prosthetic hand as he shows it to Dipp.

"So are we adventurers now?" Pallas blurts out as the conversation dies down. The receptionist covers his mouth, unable to stop himself letting out a small laugh as he hears Pallas excitement.

"Almost, just put your thumbprint on each of these cards, and you're ready to go. You three each start as E ranks. Don't worry too much about the rank though. It's more of a formality than a title" One and the other they pressed the inky thumbs on the cards for the man. With a broad smile, he passes them a card each. Dipp, looking over the card as soon as he gets it. His body shook from excitement, unable to stop.

"We're adventures! we can go on an adventure!" He yells out loudly as he hops on the spot—daydreaming of fighting monsters, saving children in the nick of time.

"That's right. But don;'t forget, be careful. Be smart; don't choose a quest you can't do" The muscled receptionist says in a stern ton, hoping they would heed his warning.

"Thank you for the advice. We'll be sure to choose requests that fit our strengths" Oliver says in a formal and polite tone. The man lets out a heavy sigh as Oliver reassures him they wouldn't do anything foolish

"Alright, then. Your good to go" The muscular receptionist says as gestures for them to look over at the wall-sized request board, returning to his paperwork as they walk away. In front of the board, the three glanced over the countless requests. Like a child in a candy store, Pallas rummaged through the board's requests.

"Look at this one!" Pallas says in an excited voice, holding up the page to Oliver. Oliver looks over the page, his head aching as he reads the ludicrous request past to him.

"That's asking you hunt down a High Orc war chief. There's even a warning on the bottom that he's heavily armed, along with has many men under him. We can't do that one" Oliver said in a cold tone as he resisted the urge to question his intelligence any further.

"Uh.. this one easy. is this one okay?" Dipp says in a quiet voice. Unsure how Oliver would respond. With a gentle touch, Dipp passes the page to Oliver. Eagerly Dipp looks up at Oliver intensely as he reads the page entirely, waiting for a response. The page by his side he rubs his chin in thought.

"This is a good find, Master Dipp. Dealing with some criminals should be easy enough. It even lists there hideout. I was unsure, but since it's only a small amount of criminals, it shouldn't be too difficult.

"Should that be a job for the guards?" Pallas asked curiously. Never had he imagined chasing everyday thugs as an adventure.

"The guards can't deal with every thief in the city, to ease the burden many cities hire Adventurers to handle the everyday thieves". Oliver explains to the slow-minded Pallas.

"Can we go there straight away?" Dipp asked tone filled with excitement.

"I suggest we avoid going there immediately. We should return to the Inn for the night to plan out moves. We can head out early in the morning before sunrise". Oliver suggests flat out. Dipps excitement-filled bubble popping as he hears Oliver's idea.

"Sorry Dipp, He's makes a good point, a lot of criminals come out a night. They might not even be there at night. we might as well go back to the Inn." Pallas says in low and disappointment filled voice. With there heads hung low, the two follow behind Oliver out of the Hub, slowly making there way towards the Inn.

As they slowly walk towards the Inn, the night's sky sits above them. The cobbled roads illuminated by magic-powered lamps along the street.

'Wow, isn't that amazing. there are so many colours!" Dipp says in astonishment as he looks over the cacophony of colours mixing along. His head high in the sky, he stared up at the bright coloured flames. Dipp Finding himself colliding with the ally wall. Blood creeping from his arm.

"Master Dipp!, are you alright. You should be more careful" Oliver yells as he cheks over the wound. Pallas and Oliver simultaneously Letting out a sigh of relief when they see the mild cut.

"It's alright. I was clumsy. You can clean it or whatever at the Inn, okay?" Dipp says with a laugh, amazed he managed to hurt himself on a wall. Like a man with a mission, Oliver leads the trio through the maze-like paths.

"I believe, we've nearly-" Oliver says before finding himself cut off. With a loud thump, Oliver collapsed. Sticking out of his side was a bloodied knife, and a hooded figure standing over him. Dipps heart raced fast, each tump radiating his body as he gripped his pistol. In an instant, the gun was aimed and fired without hesitation, a deep red needle-like bullet piercing deep into the attacker's chest. The attacker down Dipp rushed over to Oliver. Praying Oliver was okay.

From the shadows another man revealed, aiming a small pistol at the distracted Dipp. Before the man could pull the trigger as excruciating pain filled his body. One after another Pallas punched into the attacker, knocking him to the floor striking him repeatedly, giving him no room to retaliate.

"Oliver!, Oliver. Can you hear me?" Dipp yelled frantically as he companion layed wounded. With a slow nod, Oliver answered Dipp.

"I'm alright, Master Dipp. Did they hurt you at all" Oliver asked in a dramatic tone, narrowing his brow as he looked towards his collapsed attackers. He wouldn't overlook anyone that hurt his master.

"Those shits, why would they do that" Pallas asked in a wave of anger filling his voice, glaring at the knocked out pair while he reached down to help Oliver to his feet.

"Come on. We have to get you back to the Inn to rest!" Dipp roared as he pushed the pair further down the ally. With a last glance, he looked at the two motionless on the floor, before turning back and following behind his friends. Covered by the knight's sky, a hooded figure creeps from the sidelines. Rubbing his forehead in thought, he glances down at the two defeated and unconcious people at his feet.

"That Oliver, he's trickier then we had thought."
