Nighttime, the place was quiet, only the steps of the guards and adventurers strolling could be heard. The environment was weary and it was the exact opposite of the atmosphere last night.
Within just 24 hours, a lot happened in the Capital and the population was afraid. They hide inside their houses, the enemies were unknown and they couldn't do anything but duck in the hole, covering their shivering bodies.
They hoped that they would live to see the sun tomorrow.
The Knights were forcing the people to stay in the same place but they didn't accept it. They knew that thousands of the people who protested earlier were now buried in the ground. They didn't want that, this was the reason why they were staying in their own houses.
Even the criminals and beggars were silently praying in the alleys.
They were oblivious but they were not stupid. They knew that another disaster would come. Their intuitions were telling them. They clasped their hands and called their Goddesses.
"Marlon…… Father will kill me if you die. Don't ever f*cking die!!"
Dylan swear. He was waiting outside the abandoned building. The entrance was releasing dangerous ambiance and his brother was still inside. Dozens of hours passed but Marlon was not appearing. Dylan was anxious, his brother was a monster but he knew that even a monster could die.
*Crash!!!*
The ground was starting to shake, he fell and touched a pillar to regain his footing. An earthquake had appeared.
"What's happening!?"
He shouted. The tremor was getting stronger and Dylan was turning pale. He gazed at the entrance, he didn't know what going on inside. The building would fall at any time. However, he decided that he would stay. His brother was doing his job while believing that his older brother was waiting.

As the oldest brother, he won't let Marlon be left alone.
While he was busy holding the pillar, he didn't see a man was coming at him.
……………………
"W- What are you doing!? This is blasphemy!! You are hindering the will of the Light!!!!! "
The follower said, his chest was wounded and he was on his last breath. They couldn't believe that a single person massacred them. They had a couple of Intermediate but he killed all of them.
Marlon was standing and his body was bleeding. Sliced and stabs were visible. In Marlon's white clothing, the scarlet color was greatly obvious.
He was breathing ruggedly, his lungs were asking for more air. He killed all of the followers but it reached 7 hours. It was the longest seven hours that he experienced.
The bottles of potion that he reserved were empty. He didn't know how he lived, he only remembered that he swings his sword nonstop while drinking the potion when he was in danger. He almost lost his life many times, it was not an exaggeration. He was stabbed many times, it was a miracle how he lives.
Maybe the Bloodline of his ancestors was helping him. It was known that their family had high survivability. They could live even if they received a direct hit from a Calling of True Name…… Ehem.
Perhaps, the Fillan could attain a Bloodline Uniqueness. They would become more formidable if that happened. Note that Uniqueness was hereditary and they could pass it on to the next generations.
He used his sword to stand, he was tired, so tired. The man laughed, he could brag this thing to his friends.
He looked at the platform, the sculpture was shining and it was mesmerizing. Any man could feel the divinity of the sculpture, and they would surely kneel down if they see it.

However, Marlon was not part of it. After all, he saw the corpses of women lying on the platform. Their blood had become the fuel to create another destruction.
Marlon was shivering, he didn't have the strength to move. And even if he could, he knew that he couldn't salvage this situation.
"It looks like I'll die here. Hehe, I just fought a hundred enemies and I survived but this statue will just kill me… how funny. "
He said. The pulse of energy was like a small earthquake.
*Thud.…*
The shaking was starting to get stronger.
*Thud! Thud!*
"Ugh!"
Marlon was on the ground, the injuries were soaked with sweat and dirt. He understood that a great calamity would strike the Capital and this one was stronger compared to the other.
……………………….
If Marlon was outside, he would surely hear that all of the people were now shouting and screaming. Even the nobles in the Palace were struggling to stand because of the earthquake.
The land was cracking and the lights were showing beneath. Yuusha was looking at the window, the darkness was changing to light.
His imagination was saying that there was an atomic bomb under the ground… It was a crazy metaphor but it was not unbelievable. He was in a world where Mana and Aura were the norms.
He even knew that a Goddess could destroy a country by a whim. It was a f*cked up world, and he met a lot of insanity. He was not confident if his Aura Form could endure this…
...........
Together with Julian, Aria was staring at the light. She was frightened, Christopher went in that direction. Her eyes never leave the scene, she wanted to show that she was not afraid, just like her lover. She faced the incoming doom believing in him.
............
Aquila's favorite tea fell on the floor, it cracked and he kicked his tongue.
"I think I can relate why my ancestors called the Light as b*tch. She was a crazy woman, she's the worst Goddess. Much worse than the Dark Side and the Goddess of the Sea. I'm confused how this kind of Goddess has the largest religion. She was a demon to the core. "
Aquila said the Goddess of Light was a crazy whore. And this whore would destroy the Empire that he built.

A World Worth Protecting
By the year 3029 CE, Earth’s technology has developed rapidly, borders no longer exist, and Earth has been unified, marking the beginning of the era of the Federation. At that time, a huge sword flew from the heavens, piercing the sun and causing a huge sensation on Earth. Perhaps because the scabbard of the sword was already in tatters, countless shards have broken off from it following the collision with the sun and spread across the universe. Many of these shards have landed on various places across Earth. With the arrival of the bronze sword and its shards, a new unlimited energy source has suddenly appeared on Earth. This energy source has since been named Spirit Qi. Spirit Qi is like air, thick in some places and thin in others. As the Federation and other factions gather more shards, they discover more information on cultivation, pill refinement, Spirit Stone refinement, and other techniques. The words on the shards have an ancient feel to them, making it a trend for people to use ancient language. The appearance of Spirit Qi rapidly makes the original energy sources obsolete and has completely changed people’s lives. Not only has the Spirit Internet been formed, Spirit Qi has also changed the course of Human Civilization, causing the world to enter a civilization of cultivation. This would later come to be known as the Spirit Inception Era.

A D&D Gamer in Garweeze Wurld
He doesn't know how he got here, and while the trappings are familiar, he doesn't actually know where he is, either. From the perspective of those around him, Duromar is a half-ogre barbarian, an uncivilized brute by any standard you care to use. But from his perspective, he's a character created in a gaming system. From either one, he must live within the rules of that system. This is the story of a gamer who ends up in a game that's just a bit off from what he knows. ---- I wanted to write something a little bit old-school. Most of the LitRPG I've found seems to be based on computer RPG styled stories. Progression through levels is fast, and depending on the game, skills and even attributes can be trained with or without class levels. This wasn't true with the older pen and paper games, and that's the style of leveling I wanted to write.

Beyond the Bridge
There are many worlds, many multiverses, and you can move between them via the Federation's Bridge network - magical gateways to other worlds. The world dubbed "C'thon" by its inhabitants - or Gamma-Theta-Nu-649, if you ask the Federation's bureaucracy - was deserted when the Federation found it. The "civilized" races had all died out centuries prior, and the wilderness had grown downright feral in their absence. Now, the lonely Federation outpost of Bridgetown is under constant threat from the hungry wildlife, malicious fey, territorial goblins, and wandering undead that surround it. The town's distance from the Federation's centers of power means that it gets precious few of the resources that it needs to stay safe and afloat. Enter the Guild of Adventurers, a plucky and disparate crew who do the Federation's dirty work in exchange for coin. One team, the first of many, crosses the Bridge to C'thon looking for fame, fortune, and (if they're lucky) the answer to a newly-discovered Prophecy. They'll get much more than they bargained for, although first they need to avoid being eaten by the local wildlife. Updates weekly on Wednesday. Chapters will be as long as they need to be for them to work, which means they can vary. If anything drops below 2500 words, I'll post an extra chapter if I have one ready. [PS: This is not a litRPG, but I do borrow heavily from TTRPGs for inspiration, and the general setting and storyline is from a TTRPG campaign I'm running.] [PPS: This is my first attempt at writing long-form fiction. I'm not trying to make a great piece of literature or have a multi-novel overarching plot, but hopefully it'll still be a fun story - let me know what you think in the comments.] [PPPS: Cover image is from a free-download wallpaper by Tyler Edlin; I do not own it, and will take it down immediately if requested.]
