The night came. Marlon talked to his Father and the problem was quickly solved. The Marquis and Marchioness were now talking inside their rooms. As for what topic and what they're currently doing inside, let's leave them and give the couple some privacy…
Christopher spent his time with Marlon. The Princess was resting in her room and they couldn't disturb her.
"How's the dagger? "
"It's in the casket. You know that I can't touch it for long. I decided to leave it in the room."
In the novel, Derik only tackled the Curse of Faux Pas in Volume 4. The Prince of Nonia had the Curse of Faux Pas, it's the only time that he wrote the Curse of Faux Pas in the novel. He presented the Prince as a weak man who couldn't protect his beloved because he couldn't hold a weapon. He cursed himself. After that incident, he became insane.
He visited the Dark Side and become a Heretic. He begged the Woman of Abomination to give him a Gift. The Prince received an ability to transform into a Demon Wolf.
As a follower of the Woman of Abomination, he needs to kill one person every day to maintain his power, or else he will die. It's the contract that he agreed to the Abomination.
The follower's Gift had side effects. Lambda needs to kill a man whenever they had sex. Zeta needs to keep his virginity. Omicron's hair would never grow…… anyway, to maintain their powers they need to follow these rules.
The side effects were random but they need to follow it no matter how unconventional it is, if they don't, they'll die.
In the Temple, this side effects were called Contract. It's the condition that Awakener agreed to follow, the stronger the Gifts, the deadliest the Contract.

' So my Faux Pas has cure…'
Now, that everything was finished. Christopher could now think about his situation. He never thought about his Curse because he didn't feel any handicap. However, now that Old Man Jimbo said that he could fix his Curse, why not?
He would do anything to cure himself. After all, whenever he touches a weapon his hands were shivering in pain. He didn't want to experience it again.
"Hey, man you okay? What are you thinking? You look serious, how about another drink?"
Marlon tossed a bottle of champagne but Christopher shook his head
"As if! We will travel tomorrow. We need to wake up early. Besides, the Princess is here, we need to show ourselves as a good noble."
"Heh? Never thought that I'll hear it on your mouth. You're a person that always loves to touch a weapon. Back then, you said that you don't care about noble's dignity, you only thought about how to become a great warrior. Your world is only revolving in sword… Sorry man."
Marlon wished to punch himself. He didn't want his friend to turn melancholy again. He hope that he didn't open another wound on his heart.
"No, it's fine."
Christopher waved his hands, he already moved on, his past could never hurt him again.
"Is that so, ehem. Then, we need to sleep now."
Christopher decided to leave and return to his room. He saw the casket and the ancient book on the table. He decided to read the book again.
[ Those hypocrites! They are liars! The Temple of Death is just a simple place to worship the Goddess. They say that we are the reason why people died, they say we curse them!! We can't control death! The Goddess of Death is the ruler of the Underworld. She's not the cause of death! I swear! The Temple of Light is spouting bullsh*t! ]

Christopher sighed, the more he reads the book, the more depressed he becomes. He didn't know what happened in the Necromancer's life. However, he knew the story of the Goddesses.
They were selfish creatures. Sure, they made an alliance to defeat the Dark Side but they only did it for their own benefits. They stole the opponent's Authority and reigns in the world.
The Goddess of Light and Goddess of Death were mortal enemies. They hate each other, especially the Goddess of Light. Her hostility reached the other level because Death took the man that she loves. She yearns to kill Death to ease her hatred. The last Hero decided to choose the Goddess of Death instead of her. Even now, her jealousy was high above the ceiling.
'Women…... They're odd creatures.'
Christopher pondered about it even though he's the one who made the scenario. This author was the reason of conflict inside the novel!
However, you couldn't hate Christopher. After all, every author needs conflict inside their stories. It's just he didn't think that he'll become part of it.
He saw his dagger. He touched the blade before releasing it after a minute. Fortunately, the Curse didn't wake up. He didn't want to feel that pain again.
"Yes, now that I think about it. I wrote the Goddesses as the embodiment of Divinities. No curse will work on them. Christopher, why didn't you thought about it?"
He asked himself yet he already knew the answer. In his original novel, there's no such a thing as Remains of a Goddess. They fought but their bodies were intact and no part of it has lost in this world. He speculated that the story about the Bones of the Woman of Abomination was part of the alteration.
Christopher knew that this was not his novel, he understand that he would die if he's not alert. This world was different from what he made.
Perhaps, even the six main antagonist were different.
"But since this dagger is here, I believe I can find the other remains of the Bones. I already have an idea where it is."
Christopher smirked. He knew the place where the Followers of the Woman of Abomination were doing their rituals. It's in the Kingdom of Nonia.
For now, he needed to resolve the problem of the Cransia Empire before going there. He could only read Volume 1 of the Auburn War yet it's inconsistent, the story aas constantly changing. He had to be prepared before going there. He didn't know what situation was happening in that kingdom. Perhaps the Prince was already insane and he would declare war on this Empire.
Christopher didn't want that. The war would cause misfortune. He knew that the Prince would use this reason to build the official Temple of the Woman of Abomination. His pretext was that the followers could be used as soldiers.
If that happened, then the followers would become stronger. They could recruit more believers and the Woman of Abomination would regain her strength.
Christopher was having goosebumps whenever he thinks about it. The followers of the Woman of Abomination were people who love to massacre. What would happen if those bastards start to spread their faith?
