I was ecstatic!
I had just evolved into a Greater King Basilisk and received a HUGE increase in power! I looked more or less the same as before I evolved, except now my horns had a slight red tinge to them and my pupils changed into a wierd shape, kinda like 2 E's back to back. Oh, and I grew bigger. Again. I think I'm at least 200 feet long now! Well, sh*t, I'm gonna have one heck of a time trying to remain inconspicous.
As I examined the carnage I had caused, I felt a familiar energy, followed by a familiar glow.
...sh*t.
A FREAKING SUMMONING CIRCLE?!?! AGAIN?!?!
Before I can escape, I feel the unwelcome tug of a summoning, dragging me away towards the summoner.
I swear, if this summoner is trying to enslave me with a familiar contract...
I don't get to finish the thought as I am whisked away into the void.
---Aurum's POV---
My name is Aurum, and I'm a summoner. I don't have a last name since I am a commoner, but I plan on getting one by becoming nobility! You see, I am a Beastkin from the 2-tailed fox tribe and the Beastkin value power above all else, so if I summon a powerful monster to be my familiar, I will gain a title as nobility! Althought, I am not sure if anyone will take me seriously, since I am only 8 years old. I am just very mature for my age!
But before becoming nobility, I need to graduate from a prestigious summoner academy! However, to do that I need a strong familiar, which leads me to what I am doing right now: summoning a monster to become my familiar! I can only perform this ritual once in my lifetime, so if I get a weak familiar, then it's all over. My future will be decided by this one summoning!

*BOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM*
What a huge explosion! The bigger the explosion, the more powerful the familiar! I have never seen an explosion so big before! Does that mean I summoned something really awesome?!
I eagerly wait for the smoke to clear. As the smoke begins to disperse, I see 2 glowing red eyes glaring at me through the smoke. I froze out of fear. The smoke finally clears, and once I see what the creature I summoned is, I begin to sweat uncontrollably...this creature...what have I DONE?! It's a Greater King Basilisk!!!! There's NO WAY a sentient monster like that will become my familiar!
Seeing what I have summoned, the people watching the ritual immediately attack me once they realize the danger of the being I have summoned. After all, if they get rid of me, the summoner, before a certain time limit is up, the monster will be desummoned!
I fall to my knees, resigned to my fate.
However, what greets me isn't cold steel, but something else entirely...
---Fear's POV---
So CUUUTTTEE!!! I may be aspiring to become Fear itself, but I have always had a weakness for cute things, especially children! And the one who summoned me was FREAKING ADORABLE!!! Wait, why are the other Beastkin attacking her? Are they attacking her to get rid of me, the one who was summoned?
...UNFORGIVABLE!!!
In the blink of an eye, I coiled around the poor girl, protecting her from the barrage of spells and weapons. Geez, the Beastkin are so weak that I didn't feel anything other than a slight tingling. I look down at the girl who is staring up at me wide-eyed. I then glare at the ones who attacked her and I roar with all my might.
SCCCCCRRRRRREEEEEEEAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!
After thoroughly terrifying everyone present, I speak quietly to the girl who summoned me.

"Do you want to form a Familiar Contract of Equality with me?"
Shocked, the girl just stares at me. So CUTE!!
She finally recovers from her shock, and nods slightly. She then asks me a question in a timid voice.
"Will you promise to not hurt anyone if I make one with you?"
"Sure, but only if they don't attack you again. If they do, they will die!"
"O-Okay..."
The little girl, who introduced herself as Aurum, activates the spell creating the contract.
Ah, don't get me wrong, I DO NOT want to be a familiar. However, the Contract of Equality makes it so neither of us can harm the other or command the other, since we are equals, in a sense. Becoming a familiar will allow me to wander the kingdoms without being inhibited by monster slayers, and once I am done with discovering the weaknesses of the kingdoms, I will terminate the contract.
Time to begin the infiltration!

Mah gawd, I got a chapter out! Readers, don't worry, Fear has NOT gone soft, he has a plan. Also, he hasn't flushed out all of his human personality yet, hence the obsession with cuteness. The shadows grow deeper on the planet of Whorrl even as a dark, and ancient ritual takes place within the depths of The Abyssal Mouth—a chasm of both fortune and calamity. The story follows Quintin, a Grandmaster Martial Artist from Earth, as unforeseen elements conspire against him from the depths of space. *No Harem *Strong MC, but by no means does he go through enemies without injury or at least learning something. *Throw on [Horror], and possibly [Psychological] elements. *Dark Fantasy with some [Grimdark] leanings. So, if you have been reading already, Jericho has been removed. It's been brought to my attention that his chapters detract from the flow of the narrative. They still exist, and are still going to be made available at some point in some way shape or form, but for the time being what happens with him and the king in Puissant city will be off camera so to speak.

The political entities of the world had hidden the imminent approach of a gigantic meteor, of similar size to the one that theoretically wiped out the dinosaurs, until it was able to be spotted by high powered astronomical telescopes. The United Nations sends nukes into a crater located deep on the meteor, breaking it into millions of smaller fragments, except for around two areas, where there was a building that looked like an old school Roman temple and one where there was a giant metallic cube. The cube crashed into Reginald's backyard, and his 'gamer' senses were itching at the chance of supremely valuable loot. Upon investigating, he is injected with a control crystal for a 'Construction Core', but when it releases an extremely high density of pressurized mana, his body seizes up and the Core draws his mind into it before merging the control crystal back into the Core and retreating into the Cube and digging itself deeper. Two months later, Reginald becomes aware again, only to find out that nothing is as it was and he is now the Earth's First Dungeon...
