5 Days Later
Some days has passed, and today i decided to see the nest of the devilsaur, i walk in the streets slowly, the scenes was creepy but after seeing it for days i already lost the fear, the burned cars, the collapsed buildings and a man with a black robe walking in this hell.
The nest was in front of me , the devilsaur was still staring at the eggs, i was about to go back but i see that it was not moving, not even breathing, his eyes was not even glowing, it was dead,
- You must have been a good mother.
I look at the eggs and i see that 4 of them was already broken, one was still there, that was the smallest one, the devilsaurs was not here, they probably was already hunting or trying to.
i get my knife and try to cut the skin of the devilsaur, i could only make a scratch, i was already expecting that, i get an big axe and begin to hit it, for some hours i was there trying to take the scales off.
I was not angry, i was actually happy, the wait was worth it, the scale was resistent and it would make an really good armour, not even bullets could penetrate that, and then after getting enough i look at the egg, my instinct was to do something, so i decided to touch the egg, i let the skin in the ground and go to the egg, the egg have an little glow but nothing too strange.
I make heat waves in my hand, a small layer of heat take my hand like a glove and i put my hands on the egg.
- It will probably kill it
For some seconds nothing happens, and slowly the glow in the egg fades, the devilsaur inside was probably dead, and when my essense finally stops flowing.

And then the devilsaur get out of the egg, i has red scales and bloody eyes, they look at me curious and i do the same, i feel an strange conection with him.
- ...sit
Then he sits, i could not believe, i have tamed an devilsaur, with time it would have 7 meters and breath fire, it was looking at me as expecting other orders.

The Stars Have Eyes
The universe was a vast, empty, dark, and uncaring place. Then life happened, and the universe was changed forever. Only a teeny-tiny bit, but definitely different. Then again, the universe changes a teeny-tiny bit every second of every day. For instance, if someone were to get off the couch and randomly drink a glass of milk? Bam! One less glass of milk in the universe. Changed forever. Well, excluding any time-travel shenanigans, but anyone who puts a big old hole in the time-space continuum just to un-drink a glass of milk should really reevaluate their priorities. Unless, of course, they were attempting to prevent some massive catastrophe vis-a-vis said glass of milk. Such a scenario is by no means impossible, as one should never underestimate the importance of calcium. Another important tip for any life forms out there is to keep things in perspective. Some look at the vastness of creation in relation to themselves and go, ‘Man, this sucks!’ These people really need to narrow their focus. Sure, they will never affect anything happening on the other end of the galaxy, but so what? That’s way the heck over there, where it doesn’t matter. Therefore, in order to maintain a healthy mindset, it is important to narrow one’s perspective to the things and people that affect them, and that they can affect in turn. But what happens if one is an unfathomable cosmic being from beyond the veil of reality? What happens when such an existence is capable of influencing entire swathes of the universe just by its presence? A creature such as Magh'rathlak the Observer? That particular entity is only about average as far as reality-warping creatures from the dawn of time go, so its influence over the fabric of reality is rather limited. And it still struggles to keep things in perspective. That, among other things, is why it decided to narrow its worldview a bit by compressing the maddening vastness of its being into a single corporeal form. Magh'rathlak had never tried such a feat, but that wasn't about to stop it. After all, how hard could being human possibly be?

The Harrowbird's Crown
(Formerly: Tales of a Harrowed House) Synopsis: This is the tale of an exiled royal family who, after their bloody reunion on the island of Providence, return to a war-torn homeland where once more, powerful forces pit sibling against sibling in a bid for the crown — and once more, the magical streets of Auctor echo their infamous motto: “Fire will Reign as Harrowbirds Soar!” From his humble beginnings as a shoemaker’s son, his year spent as a daringly brazen orphan caught between rivaling Houses and a mad ghost, and his fight for the crown after his return to Auctor, Corbyn faces a coming-of-age story unlike any before him as he discovers magic and birthright are two things he never knew he had. From the intimate narrative of a childhood that was never her own, her year spent struggling to find the person she is rather than the person her family needs her to be, the secrets she hides, and the truths she finds, Halle discovers herself on the fabled island of Providence as her House collapses around her, bids to enter a legendary school of magic in her homeland of Auctor, and fights for a crown she never knew she wanted. A high-action, character-focused story written with a poet’s styling, The Harrowbird’s Crown is a tale that will transport readers into the conflict and conquest of a royal family back on the rise. General Information: This story is more traditionally plotted. While the beginning may seem to start out slowly, when shit hits the fan: the action is constant, the mysteries are satisfying, and the character development is rewarding. Chapters are usually between 2.5-3.5 thousand words (though some, like the first and second chapters, can run up to 5k words). When it’s long it means that the chapter will just have that much content in it. There’s Action, Mystery, Fantasy, Comedy, and some Psychological undertakings. Romance hasn’t come up yet, but it may in future chapters. I try to have chapters out every Sunday at 7:00 CST Book One: The Ghost of Providence
