《Birth of an AntiHero》Chapter 102 – Finally safe….??

Wayne: “...H—Wha..? Huh?...Heheh, What did you say…?”
Ophelia: “I’m so sorry. But, I don’t really remember you. Are you in our class, and not the others?”
Wayne: “I – I don’t get it… Weren’t – weren’t you looking for me??"
Ophelia: “That was Mr. Abram’s mistake...sorry about that!”
Wayne: “...Oh.”
Ian: “Pffft!”
Brennan: “*Chuckling* Please... please stop, no more…!”
Alyandrea: “If I can’t hold it in……I’ll embarrass Wayne. That wouldn’t…. feel right...””
Li Shun: “...Poor Wayne...Oh poor Wayne. How sad...I’ll pretend I didn’t see anything. That will help him feel better.”
Leos: “You said that out loud.”
Wayne: “...That only makes it feel worse!”
Li Shun: “...Oops...”
Ophelia: “Mr. Abrams, I was talking about Noel – NOEL!”
Ian: “Oh! Right – that’s right! Mr. Abrams, I also would like to find Noel...and Rise too!!”
Mr. Abrams: “Noel and Rise…huh?
...!
That idiot!”
*Vwish!*
…
Ian: “Did...Did something happen?”
Alyandrea: “His face turned scary…”
Oliviera: “Hey guys…! Look what the 3 evil cats dragged in!”
Saphirita: “We are NOT evil!”
Frieda: “Yeah, Yeah! I’m not a cat either!”
Cass: “NONE of us are.”
*Drags*
Elijah: ”Haha...is this really...really necessary? I can walk on my own-”
Cass: “Nope. She already introduced us as ‘dragging you in’. We like to go with the flow, you see~”
Frieda: “We’re almost there, hun. Only a few more steps~”
Elijah: “...Haah. Okay.”
Leos: “Sup. Thanks again for carrying me to the teacher, Elijah. I’d rather not wake up alone in the forest...all alone...”
Oliviera: “You wouldn’t be alone! You had me!! Hehe – after all, I was there!”
Leos: “...I’d rather be alone.”
Oliviera: “What?! Why??”
Leos: “Be-Because you’re too needy!”
Oliviera: “...I can’t help it! I don’t ENJOY living like a wild animal!”
Elijah: “Haha...Now now. I just...panicked. It was... all I COULD do, given the state I’m in. So please don’t thank me. I didn’t save you from..you know, having your head ripped off.”
Leos: “...Okay.”
Wayne: “Hi Elijah! Hi Oliviera.”
Elijah: “Hello Wayne.”
Oliviera: “Hi. *Waves*”
Ophelia: “Hello Elijah.”
Elijah: “*Looks up* H-Hello Ophelia! I’m so glad you’re alive! How did you girls fare?”
Ophelia: “Not well. Alyandrea Died when her head got cut off. Same as Leos…”
Ian: “Not the same – he said that his head got TORN off, not cut.”
Alyandrea: “Oh who CARES! Whether it was cut or ripped off – we BOTH lost our heads!”
Ian: “Th-The difference is that, having your head ripped off TAKES longer. So-So-So he probably felt more pain than you did: since yours was a clean cut—”
Alyandrea: “WHO. THE. FUCK. CARES?! We BOTH died!”
Ian: “Fair - Fair point...”
Brennan: “*Whispers* ...H...Hi Elijah. I’m too scared to say it any louder.”
Elijah: “*Whispers back* Hi...And ye-yeah. I’m sort of feeling the same way as you, right now…”
Brennan: “*Still Whispers* Hey, I also felt like pointing out that, well, regarding you losing control of your powers – well, at least you HAVE useful powers even IF they go out of control. I can’t even muster up my power in a fight, and it’s completely active!”
Elijah: “What’s your power?”
Brennan: “To talk to animals.”
Elijah: “Wha...-But – But Th-That is INCREDIBLY useful in a fores-”
Brennan: “JUST talking to them.”
Elijah: “*Imagines Brennan begging a robin for help against villains, only to be rejected*...W….What ‘grade’ is your...is... is your power if you don’t mind me asking?”
Brennan: “It’s Z.”
Elijah: “...”
Elijah didn’t dare act out in self pity around Brennan anymore. He merely patted the taller male’s shoulder and silently prayed for his future. In fact, it makes sense why he came to non-combatant classes with a Z grade superpower. He didn’t even have the BARE MINIMUM of animal communication abilities: to control small critters and have them help fight in battle. What a sad power. Truly useless during a villain raid. He had no reason to complain – oh. Wait. It was actually debatable if it’s thought about further – one has an uncontrollable energy that will either disappear or blow up close to himself during battle, while the other can speak to animals. One can MAYBE blow himself up along with his enemy, while the other can beg an animal to call for help and HOPE that it agrees without changing its mind…
…
…
Maybe neither should think about confronting a villain.
Ophelia: “Leos, Oliviera, Elijah. How were things on your end. Was Noel...Was Noel okay??”
Leos: “Hmph! Why worry about that ki—erm...about that kid??(Phew! If I said something about him being the island’s killer and he finds out...I’m really going to die!)”
Li Shun: “Do I sense...some animosity perhaps?”
Ian: “Hey! You aren’t bullying him, ARE you? Because I won’t tolerate it! I’ll – I’ll have Ophelia beat you up!”

Leos: “...”
Oliviera: “...Leos...is that true?”
Leos: “(How the fuck am I supposed to hurt somebody responsible for thousands of deaths?)No. I can’t bully him even if I tried.”
Ophelia: “Then, what happened?”
Oliviera: “...”
Leos: “…”
Elijah: “Well...*Scratches head* Honestly I don’t know. I was busy investigating the path back to school, but I heard explosions. I tried running back, but everywhere I looked the trees looked the same. Eventually I came across leos and Oliviera, but when I got closer to the bush they were behind...Leos was missing his head. I screamed for a while, then realized somebody had to have done it to him. I checked Oliviera’s pulse but...nothing. Fearing our circumstances, I picked the easier to carry corpse – not really thinking about what the teachers would think, and ran in any direction I thought would get me to school. It seems irrational to carry a corpse, now that I think about it. Luckily I stumbled into some voices after a while and found a bunch of students. Following behind them was Mr. Abrams. But...But in front of us…
…
...Leos’s head grew back. It was really scary looking.”
Leos: “Is THAT why everybody kept screaming at me?”
Saphirita: “Not ONLY that...Your face is like, TOTES’ adorbs. There’s no WAY they wouldn’t fall for you!
...So long as you’re not a zombie, I mean.”
Elijah: “I too, would also like know what happened in the forest to you all. And how were Rise and Noel? Were they fighting again?”
Oliviera: “Noel…(What do I say?? Just how am I supposed to respond??)”
Leos: “(I can’t mention that he killed anybody, and I don’t know if he can fight, but...that’s not the same for Rise. Still, he DID save me. Should I really mention them..? Ah. Wait. Wait a second. By that logic, Noel saved me too! Even if the way he ‘saved’ me nearly knocked me out.)...”
Ophelia: “Well? Did something happen?”
Leos: “They, they…”
Ian: “No...don’t - don’t tell me…”
Brennan: “Stupid! Stop! You’ll make Ophelia angry again! Do you WANT her to level the entire forest??”
Ophelia: “Hey. I won’t do that to trees. They’re alive.”
Brennan: “S-Sorry...Heheh. That makes me… really happy to hear!”
Li Shun: “...Guys. Even if they died, they should be alive now, right?”
Brennan: “Oh!”
Ophelia: “Ah! That’s right!”
Elijah: “Oh! Good Point. You’re right about that – if they DID happen to die then, just like every one else..!”
Ian: “That’s NOT necessarily good news at the moment.”
Elijah: “...What?”
Li Shun: “Are you stupid?!”
Brennan: “What are you…?”
Ophelia: “What...? Ian, why...why would you say something so mean…?”
Ian: “*Waves hand* I didn’t mean it like that Ophelia. Just hear me out first, okay?”
Ophelia: “...Okay. I’m listening.”
Ian: “Haah. Okay. Somebody killed you *Points* Leos, right?”
Leos: “Not just me. Oliviera too. I saw her head...or neck; it was blurry, get smashed in by a metal hammer, and heard a cracking noise. There’s no way somebody could have survived that.”
Oliviera: “OH! But wait! Some stuff happened BEFORE that man killed us...or just Leos.”
Ian: “Okay. I just… I just meant, Ophelia, that if the villain who killed Leos IS STILL near them, when they came back life…”
Li Shun: “…”
Brennan: “…”
Elijah: “…”
Alyandrea: “Come to...Come to think of it, didn’t Mr. Abrams look angry...before he left?”
Oliviera: “Guys…?”
Ian: “What?”
Oliviera: “What…What Do you think are Mr. Abrams’s chances if he needs to protect both Rise AND Noel, while fighting TWO villains??”
Li Shun: “Two?!”
Wayne: “Oliviera...What are you talking about? You and Leos were killed by two villains? Is that what happened?”
...
Brennan: “Why...Why won’t you guys say anything? What HAPPENED to you four?”
Ophelia: "Noel...I’m coming to help. *Clenches fist”
Ian was the only person to hear her soft-spoken words. Just as Ophelia indented the earth with her toes – fully ready to give an explosive dash in a random direction…
He jumped in front of her. She could only halt her momentum before running him over.
Ian: “STOP!! Ophelia DON’T move!”
Ophelia: “Why … why did you get in my way? That’s dangerous! What if I hurt you without knowing?”
Ian: “I know, and I’m sorry, but...but! You can’t go! If you leave, I, and EVERYBODY here will be vulnerable to a villain attack!”
Ophelia: “Move Ian.”
Ian: “I won’t! Did you already forget what happened to the stadium’s walls? You’ll only cause more chaos by getting lost!”
Ophelia: “…”
Ian: “Think...Think about ARIA!!”
Ophelia: “Aria...she’s still unconscious...she needs protection. But at least she’s safe, what about Noel..?”

Rise for the Sky [Slow-Pace Multi-Lead Dungeon Crawler]
Sixty people have awoken at the bottom of a one hundred floor dungeon. Together they must confront the terror of monsters and seek the answers to why they are here. Expectations: This story is written from multiple perspectives, male and female. Most chapters are a single person, but there will be chapters where there are a couple of quick scenes with different people. The story does take place in a dungeon, but there is no leveling system. This a realistic take on the classic litRPG and iskai tropes written like a traditional novel. There is a profanity warning because I wish to be natural with how people talk and cursing is a thing people do. So it will happen where it makes sense. Gore is warned because this is a realistic take, and people will be torn apart by monsters. I don't plan to be overly detailed with it but be warned it will happen. Updates Every Monday. Chapters will be between 3,000 to 5,000 words. Fulfill Patreon goals to increase updates

Meg The Heavenly Merchant
Updates once a week.(This is a rough draft) Author's Note: This story has grown in ways I did not predict and while it still features a merchant those aspects have gotten less page time than the fighting and romance elements. I have updated the description to represent the story better) For the past fourteen years Meg has dedicated herself to walking the path of a Heavenly Dragon Knight in her favorite videogame, Tattered Realms:Chaos Age. But now the game is shutting down and everyone wants to know what she plans to do for the sequel. Meg isn't sure at first. She knows only that she yearns for the days when she could lose herself in a game without worrying about boss strategies and crushing her rivals. And when her friend suggests playing a merchant her heart is filled with the same wanderlust and inspiration that launched her gaming career in the first place. But if she isn't dominating dungeons and setting records will people still watch her play? And can she really walk away from all the fighting for a quiet life of buying and selling?
