《Birth of an AntiHero》Chapter 46 – Assembly begins Part 2

Principal: "Welcome everyone! Thank you, Parents and caretakers, for making time out of your no doubt busy day to support our freshman student body today. I would also like to thank everyone for coming out to support our school, and its brand new division: The Non-Combatant Division! Please join me in welcoming the very first three classes to ever grace our school with their presence!"
Cheers and mumbling alike echoed very loudly: as if both groups of noise were competing with one another.
Here it comes. This was what Hero High School's Principal Leyman feared the most. If it were only so easy to make a change to their school without becoming somebody's target. Those loud 'whispers' in the seats below were all the proof he needed.
Principal Leyman: "AHEM. I know that some of you are completely against this 'new direction' we've opted for taking, and have been protesting the project in its entirety since our first announcement, many years ago. I would like to ASSURE you all, that these kids, no, these Heroes shall bring inspiration to our newer generations who have yet to walk upon our vast campus grounds. Be it for all of those that wish to attend, but fear the responsibilities that come with being an Elite Hero, or an inspirational beacon of hope, showing our oldest of students that more important than experience or powers, is the desire to help which strives us forward, and urges us all, into becoming a Hero.
They may not be powerful, or mighty, but these 41 students I will now present to you are the genuine 'future' of Hero Society's immense effort to prioritize 'saving lives'. We think, by minimizing the workload our Heroes have to endure while battling a villain, the unwavering campaign for JUSTICE that we all share will once again fight evil on an even playing field.
That's absolutely right! We will no longer hold the disadvantage during an attack!
Villains will no longer have the upper hand by targeting the innocent, by taking hostages and demanding we surrender ourselves, and by damaging the foundations of buildings so that Heroes will be forced to stop giving chase and act to minimize the damage. Such behavior only ends up allowing them to make a clean getaway!!
Rather than making our heroes multitask against the always growing influx of villains, it has become clear that in order to survive... we must train. Not just those who will act as the vanguard against their evil onslaught, no.
We must train an entirely new team that can specialize in supporting the vanguard, by evacuating citizens when a fight is in the midst, By clearing out damaged buildings and going that extra mile, in order to make sure a scene is once again, safe. They will be equipped with a wide variety of useful skills and taught specifically targeted bits of knowledge that, through extensive experience, I know will be beneficial to any future endeavors these children partake in, as hero Hero-Helpers. Today..."
…
Random Student #1: "Ugh, the principal just drones on and on... maybe he loves to hear himself speak?"
Random student #2: "Yeah... he probably does. I mean, he's both a Principal and a retired hero. Why wouldn't he like to be in front of the camera?"
Random student #3: "It's fine not to listen, but STOP TALKING! You're going to get us all in trouble too!"
Random student's #4 and #5: "SHHH!"
---
Random Realist Faction Student#1: "I don't see why this is mandatory – he's only introducing those useless losers to our school..."
Random Realist Faction Student #2: "Hush for now. We'll drive them away soon enough. Very soon..."
…
Students grew increasingly restless as the speech continued. It's been going on for 20 minutes already!
Eventually, the time came to let the classrooms introduce themselves. Or at least, that's what should've happened. Unfortunately...
Random Parent #1: "HEY! It's fine if you want to introduce them, but do we really have to sit through 41 WHOLE introductions?"
Random Parent #2: "I have to be at work in about an hour! Can you speed this up?"
Random Parent #3: "Just show us them already! Hurry and bring them all out!"
Random Parent #4: "I too, would rather not sit through 41 introductions. I've to get to a meeting in 20 minutes."
Random Parent #5: "Stop being toxic, all of you! Nobody said you had to come! If you don't like it, then leave already!"
Random Parent #6: "Yeah I agree. Weren't you all aware how long this was going to take? How can you people be so unprepared?! Sheesh, so unprofessional!"
Random Parent #3: "Shut up! If I want things rushed, then I want things rushed. Who are you to judge?!"

Random Parent #4: "19 minutes..."
Random Parent #5: "By talking so much you're causing a distraction and making this process take even longer! Why don't YOU shut up already and just leave? If his 'boring speech' bothers you that much then go!"
Random Parent #7: "Now, now, everybody should just calm down."
Random Parent #3: "Don't you tell me to- OOF!"
Random Parent #5: "Ha! I told you to shut up, didn't I? Now you've gone and angered security- ow!"
Random Head of Security: "Both of you, settle down! Stop embarrassing yourselves in front of these children. *Nods*"
Principal Leyman: "*Nods back* Thank you Reno."
...Originally, Principal Leyman was prepared to ignore the entire crowd and their complaints. Normally, that would have been the wisest decision to make, until he saw somebody specific, seated directly behind former Prince Elijah's mother. She wasn't anybody important to Hero Society, nor was she any special figure within Herotopia. In all honesty, she was only a reporter.
Except, she obtained a small amount of fame by thoroughly bashing the young talents that would sprout inside of Hero High School.
After realizing which of her segments received proper attention and scrapping the ones that flopped, she noticed it was her reviews for the favored 'talents' that gained a huge rise in popularity.
Especially the bad ones.
Each of her negative reviews gained double the amount of their positive counterparts, so her complete attention veered towards recording even the most minute of awkward or minuscule mistakes such prodigies made. It almost seemed to become an obsessive passion for her.
As if the desire to put down kids wasn't horrible alone, she had another strange... 'tendency'.
She only covered kids that were confirmed as officially attending Hero High school.
And because of this very bad 'habit', if it can TRULY even be called that... Principal Leyman decided to change his tactics last minute.
From now on, he wouldn't bother feeding that vixen any more poor children to boost her ego, her ratings... and her own pockets.
Principal Leyman: "Enough now, everybody. Settle down. For time's sake I'm going to introduce each class by alphabetical and numerical order, my hand-picked homeroom teachers overseeing this generation of students' growth and finally, their special class representatives that will give a very brief self introduction.
Now, let's begin with class 1-A, led by Mr. Pierce. Here is Eren, age 13 and a wonderful representative for the class. Eren, please introduce yourself, but be brief.
Eren: "Hello everybody of Herotopia. I'm Eren! It hasn't been long, but I just know that Hero High is where I belong! I vow to do my part in this school, whether it means learning medical aid or construction clean-up for the aftermath of a fight! I only wish to support our Nation's Heroes any way which I ca- I–I mean THAT I can! That I can! I want to help! Thank you."
A handful of cheers resounded, following a few side comments. Most of these comments were just pointing out how 'cute' his clear, blue eyes matched his serious personality. A small minority of them, though, thought he was seeking an early grave by joining this high school.
Principal Leyman: "Wha-no! Well...okay fine...just gi– give me a sec.
Now, before I move on... I would like to introduce one more student that insists I allow him to get this over with. His name is-"
Suddenly and without warning, a brightly colored, red – haired boy with a cheeky grin plastered on his face snatches the mic away from the Principal's grasp.
?: "Hi hi~ The name's Ronald. Ronald Reyes and I only ask that you remember it, lest you regret it. Thank you~"
Appearing to be quite satisfied with himself, Ronald quickly hands the mic back and runs to the edge of the stage where his other classmates are waiting.
Random student #13: "...What the fuck? What the hell just happened?
Random student #47: "Did he say his name was Ronny?"
Random student #53: "Like hell I'm remembering that pissant's name. What's with his weird introduction?"
Random student #99: "Maybe he's tryna be edgy? Haha."
Principal Leyman: "...Well then, that's... that's Ronald everybody! He, as well as Eren, will both be attending class 1–A of the Non-combatant Division! They will learn to prepare first aid in case of emergencies."

This is my first story to ever be posted. As I am an amateur writer, there shall be mistakes. More so with the fact that English is not my first language. This story is a re-write, and its original version was a request by a dear friend of mine. Though hopefully this version would be far better.. As the original version was a very cringe worthy thing. Many thanks to certain friends that have convinced me to post this. I shall do my best to at least update frequently, without sacrificing the.. quality of chapters. Tags will be added as the story goes on. || Disclaimer: Much of the chapters before Chapter Twelve are of poorer quality in terms of Grammar. So do forgive me for them, by Chapter Twelve and beyond however, the quality of the chapters should have had improved. I'm hopefully gonna fix most of the earlier chapters when I hit Chapter Twenty or Thirty.
