Noel: “THAT'S what I mean! I had a long time to figure out your behavioral pattern at least a little bit!”

Aeron: “12 Years is not a long time. 120 years is a moderate to long-ish amount of time. 1,200 years is a long time.”

Noel: “That's too long! Who wants to be stalked by you for 1,200 years?! 12 is long enough! I was ready!”

Aeron: “Haaah, fine, you were ready. Then, why did you become so surprised when you saw me standing back there...hmm?”

Noel: “I...I wasn't ready for that. Everything else though, I was ready for! I knew you'd damage the message I left back then in order to get father to allow you to 'find' out why I had left. It's obvious!”

Aeron: “Okay, okay~ so? Haha, is that all? Who did you leave this so called 'real note' with? Who had you trusted so much to avoid my persuasions?”

Noel: “Heh, Boman. He was on my side~”

Professor Houdini Abrams. A well known slacker of Hero High. Generally in charge of study hall and learning lab courses, he is known to prioritize sleeping over actual hands-on teaching. However, nobody actually knows what he does outside of class that causes him to need so much sleep.

All that IS known about him, is that when the Principal calls for him to take care of something, the man becomes an astonishingly reliable ally.

There's one reason despite being a slacker, he was never fired and in fact earned the principal's respect. In the past, Hero High School experienced a moment when 42 children had suddenly gone missing after a fire alarm was mysteriously triggered.

Nobody was ever caught. All that is known about the act is the perpetrator managed to escape security footage, which only showed the alarm being activated without someone present to commit the crime.

These cameras shoot in 3 frames: regular, thermal and infrared to escape all three is somewhat amazing.

After the announcement was made, Houdini, being responsible for over HALF of these missing students, got to work. Before this, he managed to painstakingly develop a unique variation of the wide renowned ability: 'teleport'. HIS power allows him to not only teleport himself to various places and people, but those alongside him as well. As if that wasn't enough, he can also teleport things and people in a very large radius around himself.

In his own words: 'I can shop and pay without having to leave my couch.'

But teleportation wasn't the only ability he had. Somehow, perhaps mysticism, perhaps another finished research project, but either way: Mr. Abrams seems to have the capability to 'see' things covering an unknown set distance. This 'remote viewing' ability when paired with his 'Lazy Teleportation' equals a scary combo.

In no more than 3 hours all 42 students were safely brought to the emergency room since they were apparently unconscious when Mr. Abrams discovered them.

He managed to investigate for, and locate 42 individual children scattered across 2,000 kilometers of School property in only 3 hours time. All with minimal effort, no less. This alone, solidified the faculty's understanding of their school principal's trust in him.

...

They didn't know, however, what Houdini Abrams is truly capable of. That's why, after confirming nobody was in the immediate vicinity, Mr. Abrams took off his top hat, pried the first child's eyelids upward and gazed into the single pupil with a brilliant white light. And that's when he saw it...

She paid quite a large sum of money for the rest of the kids to physically scar or handicap a large...very large girl, possibly a bodybuilder. An hour later, they begin to drag the tall girl by her arms and quite funnily appear like a few toddlers eagerly leading an adult to witness their handmade masterpiece.

Yes, funny...

That is, until one of the boys kick her behind the knee in order to try and drop her. It doesn't work right away, so another boy circles around back while the other two continued yanking her arms down. Eventually, she struggles downward, collapsing slightly hard and without being given enough time to check her kneecaps for injuries before a kick to the face forces her to guard using her arms. From that point onward, the smug kids who split the pay took their time beating her in several areas or even yanking at strands of hair before quickly retracting from her heavy swipes.

At this point, the student he's watching these memories from started a tangent against every thug there, blatantly admitting that she personally commissioned them all for the purpose of permanently destroying their muscular target with a pair of scissors. Abrams already had the urge to drop the 6 or so freshman outside the school campus and directly into a juvenile center before expelling them all under the pretense of their crimes proving they're unfit to be members of Hero High. He was brooding over what actions to take next and was just about to 'disconnect' when something mysterious occurred: Once the next moment played out...a strange sense of inertia instantly took over. The bully of a girl, verbally attacking, ridiculing and harassing the larger female before her found herself falling without stop, just like a pendulum swings without rest.

As the girl falls her vision blurs, and the final voice she hears carries with it a tinge of melodious rage that clearly struck fear deep into her pain-filled heart.

?: “You said some things that I didn't like...So stop talking for a while. Okay?”

due to losing consciousness, he was immediately expelled from her memories as there was nothing left to gather from this girl. Originally, he wasn't going to continue searching through their memories, but anybody would be curious after such a cliffhanger of an ending. He quickly activates his memory-searching power and watches from the point of view of one of the four thugs that began pulling on her hair at the start.

Their “leader” paused in his actions and turned, but this host's viewpoint didn't follow his gaze. He was busy playing with the tall girl's hair.

Mr. Abrams: “What the hell is with this kid and her hair? Leave it alone already dammit and turn!”

As if on command, he immediately turned once faced with his boss's orders and for a split second saw a boy, brown hair and brown eyes, but he looked far too young to be donning their uniform, holding a sharp needle pointed at the “leader's” face.

He shouted for them all to attack.

They charged.

Then... nothing.

All four were almost the same in this aspect, and barely differed an ounce. The one time they differed was when one of the thugs looked at their leader right before the needle struck at him, and that was enough for Houdini Abrams to realize critical points in this entire scenario that somehow lacked a single adult's noticing: This mystery boy's footsteps were calculated, his strike against the left cheek quite obviously planned considering his wrist moved before the thug leader managed to turn, and trained so expertly that he could accurately deliver a lethal blow if he had truly wanted to, at any instance desired.

Mr. Abrams: “Phew, that was an odd turn of events I did not expect. I learned something I really didn't need to know. If I'm right in my guess, then that kid must be tied to the Ericsons, or...God forbid he's tied to the Malieranos. Haaa. The ten families that support Hero Society, AND Villain Haven... could he really be...

...Here he is. Found it. I thought that kid looked young. Noel Tyler... and he's only twelve freaking years old! I don't really see the point in skipping a grade just to be a noncombatant...but from what I just saw...”

Mr. Abrams begins sifting through the documents handed to him by the school's Principal and finally locates another familiar face.

Mr. Abrams: “Ophelia... so she's the one the principal warned me about...She did nothing wrong. Normally I would be happy, but if it's to THAT extent, letting guys do whatever they want with your face... that's also dangerous, in a very different way. Now, what to do with that kid...”

Yet, before he could complete his thoughts...

*BOOM!*

The entire lobby shook.

Mr. Abrams: “Shit! What the hell is it now?!”

By utilizing a different ability this time around, remote viewing, he saw...

.

.

.

The very girl he was thinking about: Ophelia. And she was carrying on her right shoulder two unfamiliar children...at least, they were unfamiliar until he looked down at his sheet of future students.

Mr. Abrams: “Grrr..What the hell is she doing?! Collecting corpses? Has she gone crazy from trauma or something? How can she-”

Then... he saw her stand, strangely close, to a small, brown haired boy in their high school uniform.

He appeared average in height for a 12 year old, but considering most students here at Hero High School were at least 13 years of age: he was still considerably shorter than the general populace.

Mr. Abrams just finished sifting through the memories of 5 students related to this boy, taken out by this boy.

Mr. Abrams: “Well... for better or worse, I found four more students at least. Noel Tyler... how do I handle you...”
