Gravity of planet is 1.5 g, probably due to planet's dense iron/lead core. Planet is covered in a vast ocean with small islands scattered randomly. Many simple lifeforms inhabit the oceans of the planet whilst a highly developed civilization of tripedal insectoid beings. They appear to have attained a technological development equivalent to that of an informational age.
