《Goblin Kingdom》Testing, Place to Stay

They agreed and the trio sat down. By the time they sat, all goblins had already woken up, and there was just an orc left to wake up; All of them were in deep pain but tried to endure it, despite the difficulty.
Norgolin, Diana, and Potin kept chatting for a while, deciding on the future, maintaining a friendly atmosphere and this showed to the goblins and orcs that they weren't supposed to have any hostile thoughts, at least for now. However, this didn't work out as a magic formula, obviously because they had seen their friends die at the other party's hands. Anyway, at least they didn't start fighting like a bunch of idiots.
When they finished their food, the goblins and orcs ate a little while rationalizing; Norgolin was quite curious about these surviving goblins because they had survived such a fight with a strong opponent, so he asked their names and started to have some ideas. Their names were Ofir, Sem, Efá, Coré and Lin, the last one being surprisingly a girl(keep their names in mind, they will be important in the future); Norgolin took some time but decided to leave them as fighting teachers for now, as well as taking them with him on his hunting trips.
After socializing a little, Norgolina and Diana went a little deeper into the forest to test their powers, as their Mana and Battle Power were already full and just left the group for Potin to take care of. When they arrived at an unknown part of the forest, they stopped. It was a little clearing, in a circular shape with beautiful trees around it, along with birds singing happily high in the blue sky; Grass fluttered lightly as if it liked the wind. This looked like some sort of well-made training camp, both were surprised to see such a sight in this dark forest.

''So, let us start'' Norgolin said while receiving a slight nod from Diana.
''What do we test first?'' Diana asked.
''Let me see... throw a fireball at me when I order so, I will test my Battle Power armor. But you have to wait until I manage to canalize it in my entire body.''
''Ok, you can start''
Norgolin used this opportunity to test his control as well, canalizing as fast as he could. Battle Power went through his entire body, from head to toe, leaving a pleasing sensation of security. Shortly after he did that, at most 5 seconds later, his body seemed to have an outline made of red energy lines around it, and the shape of a beautiful red armor with strange, delicate and wonderful carvings could be seen very, very faintly being drawn in his entire body.
''Now!'' Norgolin ordered.
Diana tested her fireball as well and was surprised to see that her magic circle was now a light purple, with beautiful black wings growing from each side of it. She canalized a good amount of Mana and sent the fireball.
When the fireball reached Norgolin's Battle Armor, it exploded with purple flames, making a loud BOOM, but the outline just glowed less and the weak design cracked. They were surprised to see that although Diana's fireball had become 30% stronger, it didn't penetrate Norgolin's Battle Armor. Instead, if Norgolin used a bit more Battle Power, he could even repair it with little effort. This ritual seemed to have transformed their very form of using magic, as what they felt was different from just a significant increase in intensity.
Norgolin had one more thing to test, and that was his tattoo. He immediately activated it, and the horn appeared; When he saw Diana's surprised face, he didn't get it, but when she explained he was surprised himself too. Surprises aside, he tried to use the horn as before and it did start raising his mana very slowly just like before, but on a certain moment, our protagonist accidentally lost control of the mana, and this wouldn't be much of a problem, if it wasn't for the fact that a strange magic started to appear, and exploded in raging flames suddenly, leaving Norgolin and Diana with some skin burns, as well as disheveled hairs.

''So this was the function of your changed horn...interesting'' Diana said.
''Yeah, I'm surprised too... looks like we have changed more than we thought we did'' Norgolin added.
Both spent hours training and trying to control Norgolin's flames, but things were going to proceed slowly. Progress was as much as not allowing Norgolin's flames to explode without his will.
When they finished, they had some sex and returned to the group. Potin had already helped most of the injured treat their injuries, so they were ready to leave.
Norgolin was happy to see them and immediately had an idea.
''Hey Potin, come here, we need to talk''
'' What's up?''
''Well, we found a clearing in the surroundings, it is beautiful and suited to make a camp, so we just camp and wait for the disappeared women to come. What do you think?''He suggested.
''Hm... That would be good, but what if they were kidnapped, or even got lost?''Potin was worried, considering they could have been found by these damn humans; It was a reasonable worry indeed.
''We also can't go walking on this forest without any care, as from what I heard there aren't a lot of places that aren't dominated by some type of monster or race. So let us do like this: we wait for one day, if they don't come, then we go and search for them. How about it?''
''That's good. Let's go''
After drinking some water and eating what was left of the food, the group departed.
Walking for some minutes, the group arrived and was surprised to see this clearing. It did look like a good place to make camp, and even live; Their depression from the trauma even got a little better! Of course, this was because, in a moment like this, any type of comfortable feeling would duplicate in efficacy. After some time preparing, Norgolin used a knowledge he had gained with Laura and measured the clearing's size. It had a 150m diameter, making it easy to defend if they were to fight against humans.

Runicka: Tournament of Monsters (A GameLit Card Game Fantasy)
The runes are changing, and with it, the game itself changes. Taygion Ardwella finds himself stranded, alone, and on the run from some very determined guards who claim Tay's stolen from them. They're right, but that shouldn't mean Tay has to give back what he took. He's only been in Stormwall for a week and already, he's earning the ire of the most powerful and notorious House that controls the city's underground. And when their scion challenges Tay to a duel of cards, Tay will find himself thrust into a game of sorcery and strategy as he attempts to both find a way out of this mess and find his own way in the world. To do both, he'll need to learn to accept guidance and coaching where it's sorely needed, craft a deck of unimaginable power, and not die whenever his opponents try and cheat him out of a hard-earn victory. But not all is as it seems in the shadows of Stormwall, and if Tay can figure out the importance of what it is he's stolen, he may just have a chance at saving the game of Runicka. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Runicka: Tournament of Monsters is a high fantasy, card game-based adventure novel with enough magic, worldbuilding, and characters to fill a Sanderson series. I would consider it a part of the GameLit subgenre. This series in particular is not an isekai, and will start and end in a high fantasy setting complete with its own lore and backstory. It is a progression fantasy, and I am writing it inspired by all the Yu-Gi-Oh mangas/animes, and all the hours I've invested/wasted (depending on who you ask) playing TCGs like Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic: The Gathering. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a work in progress. In your journey through Stormwall alongside Tay, you'll probably find typos, grammatical errors, and maybe a confusing sentence every once in a while (although I hope to keep these to a minimum). That said, comments and suggestions on where I can improve are not only encouraged but greatly appreciated. And finally, expect new chapters every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~**Currently on a small hiatus. I have a bit of a workplace crisis going on. I'm still writing, but I don't have time to polish and publish. Chapters will return on a regular basis soon though!!**
