《Black Ice》Chapter 5

2 Year's past by in the blink of an eye. A child was sitting on top of a rock while meditating. A small black bird came by and floated in front of it. The child opened its eyes as it stretched its hand, the bird landing on its hand.
"Little black were have you been sneaking around lately?" The child said while gently caressing the bird. The child had white skin with big fully black eyes, with a mole located in its right cheeck. This child was Heise 2 years later. His pitch black hair had already grown quite a lot as it slowly turned wavy from straight. He got up while placing the little black bird on his shoulder. The bird sat there comfortably like it was its favorite position.
"I guess its time for some training" He said while stretching, the bird still completely still, not moving a cm.
As he finished his stretching he dispeared into thin air as a shadown could be seen hitting a training dummy made out of rock. The dummy disintegrating from the force of the speed. Heise stopped as he wiped his sweat from his forehead.
"Wow fathers martial art technique is really amazing, being able to move around at this speed with just a mortal body is incredible. Although i've already mastered it and i have nothing more to learn its really amazing." Said heise.
Leng Handed him over a technique called [Divine Dodging Crane] Since heise begged him for one. Although his father handed him over the technique he expected Heise to take over five years to completely master this technique since its one of the hardest ones out there, especialy for a mortal body. However Heise somehow managed to complete it in a year. He smiled in satisfaction.
"Heise are you here?" A person screamed. The voice was that of a kid.
"Ah! Guys im here!" Heise shouted back.
2 shadows landed on the ground as the aproached heise. They were both children around the same age as heise. One had Cyan hair, blue eyes with a red crystal on his forehead, as he carried a small black bone like sword with him. The other had green hair green eyes with dark circles, He didn't look that energetic as a sad aura spread around him.
"You were training alone again?" Asked the cyan hair kid.
Heise nodded as he smiled and said "Alastor, Haku how about we spar together?"
Haku smiled as he disapeared and reapeared in fornt of heise. He sheathed his bone like sword as an a sharp sword intent spread in the area. "heh, So you trained the [divine dodging crane] to this extent, well at least with your sword we can even out the fight." Heise said while performing a martial arts attack that he created himself after studying the [Divine Dodging Crane] technique. He called it [Divine Cranes Feathers] as it is a punching style attack that focuses on pure speed.
"Oi Heise that isn't fair!" shouted haku while getting pummeled to the ground by the fists. "Alastor help me out a bit here." He asked Alastor for help.

"Ah... How are you supposed to defeat brother Heise with skill like that." Said Alastor while sighing. As he shouted "Well here goes nothing" He dashed towards Heise, demostrating the [Divine Dodging Crane] technique as well.
Heise smiled at the attempt of Alastor in charging for him as he disapeared. 5 Clones of Heise appeared as they all grinned at the same time. Thanks to his deep black eyes they couldn't tell were he was looking.
The cloes were created through the mastery of the technique, he was able to create them thanks to the incredibly fast speed.
Alastor and haku shook their heads as they surrendered. "Heise you are too much for us to take on" Said haku whith a bitter expression. Alastor nodded at that comment as well.
Heise shook his head as he said "If were were awakened the fight might've gone differently since i dont know what powers ill get, But you two have them already set in store. Haku you are born with a divine bone and you Alastor have the soul devouring hook of your family, so its basically hard for me to defeat you if i have a weak ability."
Haku disagreed with that statement as he angrily said "With your ability and talent for everything, if you dont have an incredible ability then the gods are just bastards that like to fool around."
Alastor agreed while slowly saying " Well that's not the reason we came here today anyway, The village chief wants to see you."
"old master Argus wants to see me? Did you go ask for what?" Asked heise. Both of them shook their heads as they didn't know what the village chief wanted Heise for.
"since that's the case lets hurry, we dont want to make him wait. You both know how he gets when he is angry" said heise while starting run. Alastor and Haku swallowed their saliva as they quickly followed behind him.
The reason Alastor and Haku knew about the [Divine Dodging Crane] technique was becasue Heise taught them it. Although Heise is mentaly much older than them Alastor and Haku were special children displaying the same inteligence as heise at this age. Even other children of the village were much smarter than the humans on planet earth, since all of the kids knew how to speak fluently by the age of 2 and already started training their bodies by the age of 4. They all had incredible inteligence, The average iq would be around 200 for this children when compered to earth's 100 average is exactly double the amount.
Village chiefs house
"So you finally came children. I've been waiting for a while, i was thinking of going to get you myself." Said Argus with a smile.
The 3 children shivered at that smile. The village chief was too scary for them.
"Well enough with playing around Heise come here." Argus ordered. Heise followed behind him while signaling goodbye to Haku and Alastor.
"Chief what did you need me for?" Asked heise.

"Well lets start with basic history, do you know about the stories of our progenitors?" Asked Argus.
Heise nodded and said "Out ancestors are gods that were created from the primordial gods. The primordial gods are beings that were created by the creator."
"Correct but isn't the whole story. You see our planet is seperated into different lands and plains. The current plain that we are located in is called the divine plain and is the biggest plain out of the three. The Nether and The Aether wich are located bellow and above our plain respectively. each plain is seperated into 9 layers. We are currently located in the top Layer of the divine plain." Said Argus.
[Wow that's a quite a lot of space for life isn't it. How big is this planet then? earth is about circumference is about 40.075 km and 6.371 km in radius, i wonder how much of a difference there is.]Thought Heise. "Chief how big is our planet?" He asked.
"Hmmmm... Good question. From what i know it should be around 601.000km in circumference and around 95.565 km in radius." Said Argus.
[Wait! Isn't that just impossible? An exoplanet this big? This is like 15 times bigger than earth's! Life shouldn't be able to exist in this planet, too many coincidences need to happen for a planet this size to inhabit life. This place does really defy the physics we learned in school. The gravity here should've been really weak but i feel like its stronger than earth. The gods really are amazing.] Pondered Heise.
"Well enough of that, lets get into the reason i wanted to talk to you." Said argus as he continued "The reason i wanted to get you here is because of some things that i need to inform you about. You see in the future you will not be able to have an easy ride thanks to the people that are chasing down your father and killed your mother."
"Killed mother? Who are they? why are they chasing us?" Said Heise with doubt.
"I cant tell you the details. If you want to ask about your mother the only person that you can talk to is your father, but i guess he wont tell you anything about the incident as he probably doesn't want you to get burdened with this matter. The only thing that you should focus on is avoiding the people with masks. They have a mark of a half moon on the center of their forhead." Said Argus with a warning tone.
Heise was kind of hesitant with his because he didn't know if it was better to know more about the situation or just listen to the village chiefs words.
"Also I wanted to talk to you about a legend that was told by the gods." Said argus.
"A Legend from the gods?" Asked heise.
"Indeed. The legend States that the Creator Unleashed a barrage of black crystals to the planet, Their location unknown to this date. They state that those crystals are what hold the power of time and space stable in our planet and if they are collected once again The Creator himself will apear and bestow the next level of enlightenment for our planet." Said argus with a tinge of emotion in his eyes.
[Wow such things such as enlightening planets exists? are you serious, isn't that a bit too much?] Thought Heise.
"Well enough of that, That black little bird on your shoulder, Its been a while since i've seen a Divine Creature like this. If im not wrong it's called a Black robin? Hmm no this bird feels different, although it does look a lot like a Black Robin it really isn't one..." Pondered Argus while stroking his chin. (Divine Creatures are the The animals/monsters of this world, it really depends on how agressive or friendly they are.)
"Chief im not sure what it is. It just kept flying close to me and i sometimes fed it, that's all i did but it got really close to me. It has a really strong grip as well. I've been moving at max speed when training and yet it didn't get fazed out or knocked flying at all." Said heise with a questioning look.
"Hmm... Intresting, very intresting. Such an intresting bird. Well let me take a look at my books for a bit." Said argus while heading to his library. He grabbed a book related to Divine Birds as he slowly flipped through it. He pondered while looking at the image of Black robins As he shook his head, Since it didn't feel right to him. He continued flipping until he fell into a page that contained a simillar Bird, however this bird was just a myth. A legend found in the stories.
"HAhahaha.. What a lucky find. To think i would get to see a deity Again. Kid you are lucky, this bird is a Divine Robin. Its one of the stongest birds out there. Even thought it isn't from a race like the phoenix or the 3-legged golden crow, its still one of the strongest birds. Although from what i can see its still a baby. Its mother probably died or left it, since it probably couldn't raise it. This little guys are true gluttons" Said Argus while laughing.
"So little black is that powerful huh? Little guy Im expecting a lot from you" Said Heise while caressing the little black bird. The Bird flapped its little wings as it chirped happily.
"Anyways, you should return to your house, Its getting dark outside" interrupted Argus with a smile "Dont Worry about the matter with your mother since you are too young at the moment."
Heise nodded while turning around and leaving the house.

Will Ellie save the village (and herself) to risk changing the fundamentals of her novel? Will she instead let the story run its course and leave everyone in the village to their deaths? Disclaimer: This novel is a work in progress and will be updated hopefully at least once a week. Expect minor mistakes (maybe some typos and punctuation errors) since this is the very first draft. The author suffers from perfectionism and impostor syndrome and therefore attempts to use this as sort of a therapy to break away from perfectionism and self doubt. Basically, the author employs a “I don’t care anymore and screw this trash work” mindset just to get stuff rolling and not set any expectations. Basically, basically, the author just wants to write something and not care about planning and quality and all those nice things about writing a GOOD novel since it’s counterproductive. Kthxbye. ps: Thanks for even reading this trash work pps: You’re not trash for reading this trash work btw ppps: Thanks I love y’all so much Shout out!
