《Raven's Tale》Chapter 25 - Looking for Warmth

After having slept for a few more hours , Raven woke up and made his way of through the pile of snow that had clogged up the entrance to the space.
He actually really wanted to stay still until the end of the winter like a animal hibernating, but he was truly hungry and desperately needed to get something to eat.
It's truly unfortunate having to leave this place.
Raven then paid his respects to the old tree and left , that tree being there for him probably had saved his life.
"Now, first, get something to eat"
Raven then carefully looked around the forest , it was early in the morning and the sun was out, but it's emitted heat unfortunately didn't reach Raven.
After searching around for only 30 minutes, he struck gold. He found a white fox, then after inspecting closely
He found out that the fox was actually eating a dead moose. The moose flesh seemed fresh it had probably being killed last night, the moose body had being severed in 2 pieces, the backside part was a few meters away from Raven, where the fox was eating and the other part was missing. And there was long bloody trail left that lead to somewhere Raven definitely didn't want to go.
Surely you didn't do this?
The creature that did this is dangerous, to kill in such a violent way and carry it , I should definitely avoid this creature.
Raven wasn't scared of the fox , so he slowly approached the dead moose.
The white fox glanced at Raven but didn't seem to bothered at all about Raven and just continued eating.
Raven was still very careful , he didn't want to get bitten by the fox and possibly contract some disease. He then unsheathed his Katana and cut a lump of meat of the moose.

The fox seemed to be pretty calm about it , it didn't even flinch or maybe it was just really starving.
"Now to gather some firewood"
*THUD*
The fox suddenly collapsed, It was injured , it's leg was bleeding heavily.
Raven hadn't noticed it was injured , he thought that maybe this was the reason it didn't mind sharing.
"It did help me, so i guess i can help it, and if it dies i can just eat it."
Raven picked up the fox that was unconscious, And decided to first look for a place he could start a fire.
Quickly Raven found a pretty good place it was a small cave about two meters deep. it was enough for Raven and it was pretty closed off too.
Raven then carefully put down the fox. took out from his bag some bandage roll he got from Luana, he used it to firmly wrap around the wound in the fox's right hind leg.
The white fox was still unconscious so Raven left it there and went to gather some firewood.
Then after looking around and picking some wooden sticks that could be used, Raven stumbled on to a strange place. The snow was completely covered in blood, there were rest of animals scattered all over the place and crows were hovering all over the place.
"There is something really odd about this place"
"I should leave this place as soon as possible"
Raven felt this place was really bad news and really didn't want to stay around for much longer.
After returning to the cave he had luckily found, he then got a fire going to and cut the moose meat in tiny pieces and skewered then and sat them next to the fire and waited eagerly with drool flowing down from his mouth.

The white fox was still sleeping beside him, Raven quickly checked it to see if it was dead but saw it was alive just really weak.
"Not ready yet,fufu"
Raven couldn't control his absurd appetite and if he could eat the raw meat and avoid having dirrehea he honestly would.
"Finally"
*MUNCH*
The meat looked ready to eat and Raven didn't waste a second and gulped it all down like a savage. After having stuffed himself with moose meat which by the way was incredibly tender and had very thick flavour.
The fox slowly woke up and stared straight at Raven , Raven still had stick of the skewered meat, he started at it pondered if he should eat it or give it to the weak looking fox.
After a lot of thinking , out of pity Raven decided to give the fox the last piece of meat. He hoped deep in his heart that he wouldn't regret it , but in the end he still felt sad about giving away his meat away to an animal.
"You better thank me for that"
Raven then put out the fire and set off he didn't want to waste any time and wanted to leave this place as soon as possible. Originally he thought that it was maybe better to stay here than the meadows but he had changed his mind upon seeing such bizarre scenes.
"Now to get out of here"
Then carefully walking though the forest again , he wanted to find a way out but it was incredibly hard to get any sense of direction in this forest.
Raven was completely lost, not knowing what to do he kept heading north, and hoped it would get him out of this bizarre forest.
paw paw
Aftet sensing something strange he suddenly looked behind him, and there it was the white fox following him, it was a few meters back but it was clearly following Raven.
"I don't have any more meat to give to you"
Well it doesn't matter
Raven picked up the white fox that was walking with great difficulty.
At least you're warm.
Raven held the white fox it with thick fur was obviously not feeling cold , but Raven was.
"Okay let's hurry"
Raven Then fastened his pace and walked faster, leaving this forest was dead set as his main priority for now.
"It would be nice if you knew a way out of this place"
fuhhh
The fox gave a low whimper , it had made it self pretty comfortable in Raven's arms
Sorry for the delay. I was feeling pretty shit
I originally wanted to end this chapter in a cliffhanger but decided against it.
