Chapter 23

There was a violet sphere, Raven could see it in not that far from him.

It was gradually growing brighter , Raven couldn't look away it was like it was sucking him in.

What is that?

Raven could only cluelessly question what the sphere was.

he felt a strangely warm sensation coming from the violet sphere ,for some reason he was attracted to it but he couldn't move and touch it, his body was completely paralysed.

after looking at around . all he could see was darkness completely surrounding him, the only source of light was the one violet sphere that was glowing.

Raven was relentlessly trying to grab the sphere but it was no use his body wouldn't budge even an inch.

The violet sphere then approached Raven it was like it was teasing him by saying catch me if you can.

Why do i feel i absolutely need to grab hold of that sphere.

Still trying to grab hold of the violet sphere , Raven wouldn't give up , he felt if he gave up he would lose something very important to him, he didn't know what, but he just felt it.

Suddenly the violet sphere was expanding , at a astonishing rate it would soon engulf Raven in it.

Cracks started appearing everywhere , it was like the whole world was shattering like a mirror.

What is happening

The ground underneath Raven was filled with cracks , it was about to give away , but Raven couldn't do anything , the violet sphere was still expanding like a balloon.

The sphere seemed to be on the verge of exploding, Fearing the explosion Raven abruptly shut his eyes.

When it seemed like Raven would fall into a pit of nothingness. The violet sphere exploded and everything was engulfed into a violet colour.

Raven felt a warm sensation come over him, a unexplainable feeling that he had never felt before.

Raven then woke up, he was covered in sweat but felt extremely relieved.(No he didn't piss himself)

"Have you woken up?"

Raven looked up and Luana was standing there looking down on him.

"You look a lot better"

"Breakfast will soon be ready"

Luana said , she was currently holding a knife on her hands , as she prepared some nutritious vegetable soup for breakfast.

"Yeah , I am feeling much better"

"Thanks for everything"

Raven immediately stood up and washed his face in the river , He had got accustomed to the lack of hygiene of this world, but he still tried at least to brush his teeth using his finger and gargling with some water to possibly avoid having bad breath.

"Well what are you going to do now?"

Luana asked

"First , I had thought of waiting for city to calm down , but i have now changed my mind."

"I came to Kao to look up on some information, but i guess i will go and come back at a later time and hope it isn't as troublesome as this time was"

Raven said while letting out a sigh as he remembered how troublesome it was.

"So you're going somewhere?"

Luana said

"Yes, exactly"

Raven calmly said

"So I have another favour to ask of you"

"I realize , i have been asking for lot of favours from you , and i apologize for that"

Raven said in a serious tone

"Don't worry about that , but what is it?"

Luana quietly answered , she felt a bit flustered and flapped her hands around in embarrassment

"I was hoping you could take care of Maya"

Raven felt a bit embarrassed , Luana had already done a lot to help them out and he still was asking for more.

"Why"

Both Raven and Luana looked at Maya who had woken up and asked.

"Why are you leaving me, is it because i caused you trouble"

Maya asked with her voice clearly shaken.

"No, that's not the case"

Raven flatly answered with no hesitation.

"Then why"

Maya asked , tears where forming in her pretty little eyes.

"It will be much safer for you to stay here with Luana"

Raven answered , he had already planned on leaving Maya with someone he could trust to take care of her and he thought Luana was the perfect one.

"Luana can also teach you many things"

Raven also though(t) about the positives about leaving her with Luana , Luana was a great cook , and on top of that had basic medical knowledge.

Raven them approached Maya who was about to burst into tears and gently patted her head, Raven felt quite good about himself thinking he was doing something only a good father would do.

"Then i will gladly take care of her"

Luana happily smiled as she said it

"Thank you , I really owe you"

Bowing down, Raven thanked Luana from the very bottom of his heart, he would definitely do anything for her sake in the future to pay off such a huge favour.

"Stop , It you're embarrassing me"

Luana felt incredibly embarrassed by Raven's action.

"Then when do you plan on leaving?"

Luana curiously asked.

"In a few days , after you guys return to Kao"

Raven answered, he actually wanted to confirm their safety by guiding them back to Kao , but he thought that maybe that actually could end putting them in unnecessary danger.

"Okay , let's gather useful stuff you can take with you"

Luana said , then they set off to look for useful herbs and fruits , Raven could take on his adventure. Raven didn't know how long would it be before he returned to Kao, but he knew one thing, he would definitely return.

A few days had passed and Raven was prepared to leave , Luana and Maya were currently about to depart to Kao.

"Take care of yourself"

Luana said in a worryingly manner to Raven, Maya was beside her cutely pouting , she had understood Raven's motives but was still upset.

"You too take care, I don't know when i will be back , but this is not the last time we will see each other , i can guarantee you that"

Raven said, his eyes were filled with determination.

"My father should be back in a few days so you don't have to worry about us"

Luana said to possibly ease Raven worries .

"I understand"

Raven said

"Well we should get going then"

Luana and Maya set off on their path and cheerfully waved towards Raven.

Raven timidly returned the wave. He felt sad about parting with them , but it was for the best.

"Now where should i go"

Raven had no real destination , he would go to where the wind blew him
