Raven stared at the ninja , the ninja returned the stared as they both stood completely still.
neither of them dared to make the first move.
Time ticking away against Raven he went (into)(on) the offensive first he rushed towards the ninja like a flash, the ninja was taken by surprised and barely dodged as he threw some shuriken at Raven , Raven easy blocked them with his katana like it was nothing.
“Sorry, but i have no time to waste”
This time the ninja was the one to take the initiative , he dashed towards Raven with his two ninja swords prepared to strike , Raven blocked his attack easily with his katana then pushed the ninja away and chased after him.
He aimed a kick at the ninja’s head , the ninja dodged it with difficulty but Raven followed up with a punch the ninja cleverly used both his ninja swords to block it.
But both the ninja swords cracked and eventually shattered from facing so much power. Raven’s fist then collided with ninja’s stomach sending him flying away before falling down to the ground.
What kind of monstrous strength is that?
The ninja couldn’t help but think as he clutched his stomach, but he wouldn’t give up so easily , then he slowly stood up with difficulty.
As Raven watched the ninja struggling , he felt a bit disappointed the ninja didn’t seem to be that weak.
(why is he disappointed? why not a bit excited that he is not weak!)
Raven didn’t wait for the ninja to completely regain his senses, and swiftly dashed towards the ninja but before he could slash the ninja.
The ninja in a last ditch effort to damage his enemy threw two shuriken and they struck Raven directly in the chest but he paid it no heed and viciously slashed the ninja in half.

Then after confirming that the ninja was dead , Raven took out the two shuriken from his chest, and them felt a strange prickly pain in his chest.
Raven regretted being so careless , as he endured the pain and hurried off into the distance, he had to meet up with Luana and Maya they were waiting for him outside the side near a small river that Raven and Maya had set camp before.
"I am late"
After running for a almost an hour, Raven was almost reaching the meeting spot. The sun was setting a light orange colour painted the sky.
Raven couldn’t run anymore and walked as he held his chest, the pain was gradually getting stronger and stronger. Raven’s head was spinning he was feeling dizzy and would collapse at any moment, he took off the mask to try and ease the difficulty he was having to breathe but there was no change.
it was poisoned the shuriken
I was too careless
Raven stumbled his way to where he could see the smoke coming from , it was close to the river so he knew for sure that it was the meeting spot.
When he reached the place , he collapsed. He didnt even have time to really check if Luana and Maya were currently safe.
“Raven!”
Raven faintly heard his name being called out as a person ran towards him, before gradually losing conscience.
……
Luana together with Maya were anxiously waiting for Raven , Raven hadn’t set up an exact time but it was already dark and he still hadn’t appeared.
Maya and Luana were extremely worried , if he had possibly been caught they couldn’t even begin to imagine the horrible things they would probably do to him.
They instead tried to stay positive and had set up a camp fire and caught a few rabbits and foraged some vegetables. Luana to stop herself from worrying too much she was currently preparing a meal, thinking that when Raven arrived he would probably be very peckish.

*crunch*crunch*crunch*
A faint sound of footsteps could be heard coming towards them from the forest, Luana flinched for a second in shock , they waited and the footsteps got closer and closer.
When it finally come out from the forest, it was Raven, he soon collapsed and Luana rushed towards him yelling
"RAVEN!".
She quickly turned Raven on his back , and checked his pulse, Maya was watching the scene from behind with teary eyes.
“Is he alright”
Maya asked with a shaky voice
After checking that his pulse was very slow , Luana took off his robe and checked his chest, the small injuries caused by the shuriken were there.
“He was poisoned”
After checking the opening of the injuries , Luana found out whatever hit him was probably smeared in poison.
“Give me a knife, quick”
Luana hurried shouted at Maya , Maya still a bit shaken by the situation took a small knife , that they used to gut the rabbits.
When she got the knife, Luana cut a bigger wound over the two small ones and blood started gushing out.
“What are you doing!?”
Maya asked in confusion.
“We have to let out the infected blood”
“It doesn’t seem like the poison has totally spread yet”
As more and more blood was flowing out ,Raven (was)(became) completely pale. Luana also was relentlessly sucking out the blood too and spitting it out , until Raven face relaxed a bit.
“Now I think most of the infected blood has been let out”
Then she took a bowl of water and carefully poured it in Raven’s mouth as Maya prepared a medicine made from some of the herbs they could find around the river. Luana had instructed her on what to do and how to prepare it beforehand.
Luana then slowly rubbed the paste green medicine on the wounds, it probably stang quite a bit judging from the face Raven made.
She then wrapped the wound with bandages, that she had with her just in case she got injured.
“He should be fine at least for now”
Luana said as she let out a sigh of relief
“How do you know all this stuff”
Maya couldn’t help but ask, she was curious.
“This is just some stuff my father taught me”
“He taught me everything essential, that I could use to keep myself healthy”
Luana said and felt a bit nostalgic.
Then they dragged Raven closer to the fire it was getting colder as the sun disappeared and the moon reigned over the night.
As Luana and Maya ate the vegetable soup with rabbit meat and stared off into the sky,
Raven was sleeping beside them.

Updates at least every Monday, Thursday, and every other Sarturday, (from 26/11/2021). This is primarily a story exploring what it means to be human, using a lens of a hopefully real-feeling fantasy world. This story is not a power fantasy or a traditional Litrpg , while it has elements of these genres, it will focus on how these tropes would influence real people and possibly Redshirt will break some of these tropes along the way. There will be a variety of different characters and perspectives, some you hate, some you love, and some that will frustrate. Just as all people do. I don't believe there will be anything overly traumatic or explicit, but it's better to be safe than sorry. There will be some heavy topics explored, the characters views do not reflect the authors; however, if there is an issue in how I present/understand these issues please do tell me, and I will try my best to rectify it.
