《Dungeon monster》Chapter 4: the hunt and comrades

Let's start the hunt
--------------------------------------
After checking my stats I decide to head out of the dungeon.
(Zig) 'Perfect time for me to go traveling, and hunting.'
It was just about night time, the cold air was blowing everywhere
Stars started to appear in the dark endless night.
Zig stepped out of the dungeon.
Warning: you are a dungeon creature leaving a still living dungeon.
You will only have 1 hour before you will need to return or you die.
I see this and activate 'Darkness Step.'
(Zig) 'So now that I am a dungeon monster I can't live outside for long, unless the dungeon dies.'
I will put that on the back burner, for now let's hunt.
I run through the forest using my senses to find prey.
Skill learned 'animal instinct lvl 1'
After learning that skill I find a large animal.
It was a bear with fur the color of the sea and I felt an immense power coming from it.
The bear was not the only one there though.
Two wolves, small but skilled were fighting off the bear.
I decide to watch for a bit, because I still have about 30 min left.
I can get back in about 10 if needed.
I should explain why though, while I was running here I saw a rabbit I wanted to kill, but I did not want to deactivate Darkness Step.
I thought ‘if only I could stick out only one part of my body.’
Then it happened. My claw came out, and I attacked the rabbit.
What I also found out is that I can drag things into the darkness, and carry it with me like that.
This skill is pretty useful, anyways the bear attacks a wolf, which gets shot back into a tree, breaking the tree.

I decide to use analyze on the bear.
Race: great bear
Name: none
Age: 20 years
Lvl: 4
Race: wolf
Name: none
Age: 1 day old
Lvl: 2
Dead wolf body
So these wolves were born around the time as me.
'Analyze lvl 1' has leveled to 'analyze lvl 2'
: would you like a description of what the lvl adds
(Zig)' yes'
Description: analyze lvl 2: additions: adds gender, relations, and 1 skill.
I use 'analyze' one more time
Race: great bear
Name: none
Gender: male
Relation: prey
Skill: water claw
Lvl: 4Race: wolf
Name: none
Gender: female
Relation: none
Skill: bite
Lvl: 2Dead wolf body
Gender: male
Relation: brother
Wait, what? That dead wolf is my brother?
God, I’m lucky to have fallen when I did then.
I mean, they are so weak.
Then the female wolf gets hit, but it looks like she was only knocked out.
I sneak up using Darkness Step.
I attack with a combo of ambush and Bite.
'ambush' has now become a passive skill
- 50 critical.
The great bear did not fall, instead water in the shape of a claw comes flying at me as he turns around.
I go back into the darkness, nearly getting my head cut off.
The trees behind me fall down from being cut in half by the claw.
(Zig) 'Damn! I don't have the time for this!'
I speed past the bear, and grab the female wolf, and the body.
Well, time to run!
I race back to the cave, and appear inside the dungeon entrance.
(Zake) 'Looks like you only got two bodies, Oh well.'
After he says that the body of the wolf, and rabbit disappear
(Zake) 'With this I got enough to do what needs to be done.'
(Zig) 'Can you save this female?'

(Zake) '.....Ok yeah, I can, but she will be a dungeon creature.'
(Zig) 'I think that's fine, she will be stronger.'
After I say that, a light appears around her.
Then I drag her into a corner, and go to the dungeon heart room.
--------------------------------------
I was surprised by what I saw.
(?) 'Hello guy, my name is Rogor'
Yup, what I saw was that rat how's ass I kicked.
(Zig) 'What the heck is going on here?'
(Zack) 'I put a core into Rogor which made him be able to talk with all other dungeon creatures.'
Ok, so that's the explanation, it's pretty good.
(Zig) 'So is he going to evolve like me, and that female?'
(Zake) 'No, not unless he gets enough XP to get to lvl 10.'
(Zig) 'Wait, what?'
(Zake) 'Ya when a creature reaches lvl 10 they evolve, at least for the first 4 evolutions.'
That's very interesting to know.
(Rogor) 'I will go hunt for a bit.'
(Zig) 'Be careful, there is a great bear with a water skill out there.'
(Rogor) 'Ok.'
The rat leaves the room.
(Zig) 'You might want to add instructions to come back 5 or 10 min before they die outside.'
(Zake) 'Wait, you guys can die outside?'
(Zig) 'Ya if a dungeon creature stays outside of the dungeon that made them.'
I sigh
(Zig) 'And the dungeon is still alive. Ya, we can die if we stay out for too long.'
----------------------------------------------hope you enjoyed it so far

Many Minded
Synopsis: Issa Pyxis, Spacer orphan and illegal heretic, graduated from living on the streets to running with a gang years ago, but now it looks like that’s all going to change. Her inheritance, more specifically who—or what—she is, is catching up with her, and on a planet with the Emperor’s inquisitors slinking around in every shadow, nowhere is safe and no one can be trusted. What will she do? A cyberpunk story about identity, loneliness, covert infiltration, evil dystopias, and much more! Features: - Cyborgs and cyberpunk galore - This is indented to be somewhat “rational” and “hard” Sci-Fi story - Original Fiction however parts of my worldbuilding are inspired by other Sci-Fi stories (duh) Rationale: The future is cool, AIs are kickass, and questions about consciousness are simultaneously existential and yet unanswered. To me, this story is a vehicle for exploring these topics, and also, I wanted to write a story where the protagonist was unafraid of themselves and where their self is more like a git-repo than a meat computer. Disclaimer: This story primarily takes place in what we’d describe as a “cyberpunk dystopia” with some extra technocracy, autocracy, and religious fervor thrown into the mix, so there will be some “grittiness” in this story. Caveat emptor. Also, [insert your favorite boilerplate “views expressed” disclaimer here]. I shouldn’t need to say this, but the main character and other characters in my story can be wrong on occasion (gasp!) and the way they view the world isn’t always objective truth (if such a thing even exists) nor do their views and opinions necessarily reflect the views of me, the author. The Blackgloom Bounty
In the dark days before the end of the first millennium, Scotland (or Scotia as some called it) was a leaderless hodgepodge of tribes, clans and warring factions all bent on the same thing--domination of the land. Wizards, sorcerers and magicians still plied their trade, though much of their power had given way to the machinations of men and their war machines. To the south of Scotia lay the realm of the Saxons ruled by Ethelred the Unready and his ruthless minions. To the west, Ireland had just come of age. Everywhere else the constant threat of a lightning swift Viking incursion loomed over the land.Growing up in this lawless world is a displaced Daynin McKinnon, heir to an ancient familial keep on the island of Rhum. He and his grandfather Ean scratch out a living amongst the Saxons, careful never to divulge their clan heritage. That all changes when Kruzurk Makshare chooses Daynin as the ideal prospect to help him bring down a vile sorcerer named The Seed of Cerberus, ferreted away in his impregnable fortress at Blackgloom. Little does Kruzurk know that in so doing, he will launch young Daynin, himself and others on a vast, dangerous quest that no one could have foreseen. *****One Hollywood producer has dubbed this three book fantasy epic from Jon Baxley as, "BRAVEHEART meets THE LORD OF THE RINGS." Real places, people and events flesh out this fast moving, multi-faceted semi-historical series but fear not fantasy readers. There's more than enough of the magical, mystical mayhem you have come to expect from great fantasy. Romance readers, too, will enjoy the 'spice' in these characters--and there are a lot of them--both human and otherwise. And if you're into Viking lore, this series certainly is for you. When someone asks the author about his series, he answers with, “There were far more surprises in this tale than I ever expected and it's not over yet! This volume and the next two contain hundreds of pages filled with rollicking good times, fast moving action and a page turning adventure you will not soon forget."Books In The Scythian Stone Saga:THE BLACKGLOOM BOUNTY Episode 1 - 500 pagesTHE REGENTS OF RHUM Episode 2 - 800 pagesTHE SCIONS OF SCOTIA Episode 3 - 800 pages
