《Ancient Adventurer Return》Hunter Guild

' So you're really gonna talk with her ?´ Asked Bora.
' Yes I am Master. Now since you already have somewhere to live for the two next weeks, you need to get a god bracelet and money. Just find the Hunter's Guild of Japan, it should be somewhere around this place since the Vice President was walking in the streets. As for money, well I think you can directly sell your accessories to the guild. But keep the coins for now. I don't know what you plan do to next but I think it's better if we multiply them and sell them in an auction.' Said Aria.
´ Well works for me. I just hope it doesn't take a whole day. I'm not a very patient man.' Thought Bora as he approached Katarea. When she asked what was going on he didn't answer. He just put his hand on her shoulder and watched as a purple flame entered her body. Bora was quite surprised when saw that this was how his Aria looked. He knew that people's souls were flames, but most people had white flames and not purple ones.
Katarea's eyes became blank and she stopped moving. Bora then got up and exited the room. As he was about to exit the hotel, a voice called him. Turning around, Bora saw a.....Humanoid walking towards him. Said humanoid was clearly a male and had a dark purple skin. He was incredibly tall and had long pointy ears. He had a feminine body but he carried himself like a man. Bora remembered those creatures, dark elves they were called, the weakest type of elf there existed.
« You are Mister Bora, right ? » Asked the elf.
« Yeah it's me and you are ? » Asked Bora.
« Oh my name has little importance, but I am the secretary of Mister Yama. You met him an hour ago. He is the Vice President of the Hunter Guild of Japan. And he told me to bring you to the Guild. » Said the elf. Bora smiled and decided to follow the elf. Atleast he didn't have to search for the Guild.

He and the elf arrived quite quickly, the Guild wasn't really far from the Hotel. As soon as he arrived, he was shocked by all the envious stares he received, be it because of his necklace or the fact that he was with the secretary, he didn't know why. The secretary then asked him to follow him to the second floor and Bora, all the while admiring the building itself. It looked like a traditional skyscraper, however it was shaped in the form of a T and was entirely white. The interior was also incredibly luxurious.
« I trust this is the first time you come here ? The Hunter Guild of Japan may not be on the top 10 in terms of power but it is clearly one of the richest guild in the world. » Said the secretary, a hint of pride in his voice.
As they approached a door, the secretary knocked on the door and waited until the grave voice of Yama was heard.
« Enter. » Said Yama. The elf opened the door and lead Bora inside. Bora was immediately told to sit on a couch and did as he was told, Yama was watching him with greedy eyes and he didn't like that.
« You know...When we saw each other an hour ago, I didn't think about you all that much. The Djinn seemed much more interesting. But that necklace you've got.....I'll be completely honest with you, I want it. » Said Yama as he stared at Bora right in the eyes.
« You see, there's quite a paradox here in Japan, one I'm sure you haven't heard of since you are clearly not japanese. Our Knights orders are strong, our Magicians clans are strong, but our hunter guild is incredibly weak. Do you know why ? Well that is simply because here in Japan like in many other countries, people see the Hunters like mere mercenaries, just some random people hunting for treasures. And it's true we are hunting for treasures, and as you can see we've done a good job. However our guild keeps getting weaker and weaker. Because now people think we are just treasure hunters. But we're adventurers, we are the ones who discover the dungeons, the monster zones and the towers, but the Knights are stealing all our work. And now our country is growing weaker by the day, because those dumbassess can't understand that the Knights are wasting their potentials by doing what we should be doing. As such we, the hunters, need to become stronger. If the knights becomes weak, it doesn't matter as long as we stay strong. My hunters have potentials but they lack the equipments. So.....Mister Bora, I would be very interested with someone who possess two unique equipments that are perfectly the same. » Said Yama, as Bora's eyes widened at the last bit. Yama had seen the second accessory.

« Hehe, you know I've been surprised when my God Bracelet clearly showed me that both of the necklaces you've got are perfectly the same. Usually the unique equipments, which are the strongest, are replicated since we cannot simply raid dungeons everytime we need equipments. However the copies are never as strong as the original, they are about 50 to 60 percent weaker. But you my friend, you've got two perfectly identical accessories. It's not rare since it's possible to get the same items if you conquer the same dungeons, however this is clearly a first clearance reward, the thing is practically oozing dark energy, something that all first clearance rewards do. So my friend, I won't ask you to tell me your secret, but I'll be very interested in buying items for you, if you have other items like that of course. » Said Yama, his greedy shining as he stared at Bora who was thinking about how lucky he was.
« I too would be very interested, but first.....I need a god bracelet. »
« ......What ? »

The Ingress Estate
Jonathon Eucole. Soldier. Scholar. Now an Initiate, the dedication without dedication, he finds himself both prisoner and master of an arcane edifice, the Ingress Estate, which can neither be escaped, nor controlled; only diverted, maintained, and pacified. This is a gothic fantasy story, set in a world in which gods and the afterlife are not only real and known, but were both established in living memory of some of the inhabitants after millennia of arcane warfare with the being who constructed the mundane reality the humans occupy. But this isn't the story of those who colonized the afterlife at the cost of their own humanity, but a somewhat more ordinary man, in somewhat extraordinary circumstances. This is also a LitRPG-lite, which means there's a system of sorts, fragments of which can be observed through Jonathon's eyes. Don't expect level-up screens, or statistics, or indeed numbers much at all, beyond those the inhabitants of the world itself apply to understanding their own reality. It pretty much doesn't matter to the story, I mention it so those who don't want to read LitRPG at all can successfully avoid it here. I don't have any particular plan here, just some ideas inherent in the genre. This is a character concept I toyed with some years ago; an old man, bright of mind but weighed down into apathy, both by his past and his responsibilities for a terrible estate that cannot be left without stewardship. Don't expect any kind of overarching plot or story, because that's really not what this is about. Also don't expect much dialogue. Or character development. Or much of anything, really, because I've planned nothing in the way of an actual book, here. Other relevant information, if you've read this far for some reason: The MC isn't super-powerful to begin with, and probably never will be. He's a veteran with some useful skills, and the insight on how to use them, so can deal with the world's ordinary threats reasonably well, but not too much beyond that. --- Currently on hiatus, as currently the story has a rather poor ratio of effort-to-personal-payoff. I may return to this once I have a clear idea of how to get the stories where I want them. I've started a more standard LitRPG using the same system. But if you like intelligence characters who cleverly min-max their classes, it probably isn't the story for you; it's the story of a rather ordinary guy who winds up in a very similar universe.
