《Ancient Adventurer Return》God of Greed in Japan

« Never again.....I'm never travelling in this thing ! » Yelled Bora as Katarea sighed. Given that Bora wasn't really a patient man they had boarded the first fly to Kyoto. However it seemed that Bora wasn't really made for planes.
He had been sick during the whole trip and constantly telling Katarea that he hated it. Unfortunately, they were both supposed to be normal people, and normal people used normal means of travelling. If they had been magicians they could've used portals, but it wasn't an option for now.
Now that they were in Kyoto they had to get some money and then find a place to live.
´ Master, tell Katarea to go to a bank and exchange the Won you have into Yen. You should have enough to book a hotel room for atleast two weeks, if you book a cheap one that is.' Said Aria, seemingly amused with Bora's current condition though he held back his laugh.
« Katarea. Find a bank and exchange the Won you got for Yen. We won't be able to buy anything in Japan with Won. » Said Bora, sitting on a bench as Katarea nodded and walked away.
' Now that I am alone, there is one thing I want to ask you Aria. As the new God of Greed is there anything I can actually do ?´ Asked Bora.
' Well of course Master. By transferring the divine energy to you and then to something or someone, I can multiply, steal and copy a lot of things. If you were to find a rare weapon than I could multiply it so that you can keep one for yourself and sell the other...You could become rich by selling multiple rare equipments. Afterall if they are rare then it's most unlikely that there are other same equipments. Also I can copy or steal things. Per example I could copy a seal to reapply it on anything you want or steal a skill to give it to you. As the God of Greed you can appease your greed with the help of your powers, that's how it works. I could multiply the necklace you got from the Boss so you can sell the other versions. Or I could steal one of Katarea's skills or talents for you.'Explained Aria.

' Hoho~I feel like we're gonna become best friends Aria if you continue to tell me things like that. Anyway can you tell me more about those skills and talents ? I barely remember anything about it, except the fact that they are ranked with tiers too.' Thought Bora, unaware that his little conversation with his Aria didn't go unnoticed. While he was happily conversing with Aria in his head, someone was watching him.
A few meters away from him, leaning on a bus shelter while smoking a cigarette, was a woman in her twenties. She was the very definition of a cold beauty. A pretty face, soft white skin, pouty red lips and heterocromia eyes, one black and the other white. She was wearing a white smoking suit that fit insanely well. Though one thing about her made her stand out even more. It was a little emblem that was on the collar of her smoking, a black rose surrounded by thorn branches. Every person that looked at her would lower their heads as soon as they saw this emblem.
The woman finished her cigarette and threw it on the ground before walking away, a big smile on her face.
' Okay so Skills are the same as techniques or spells but they are uniques. A technique can be pretty much anything like a punch, while a spell would require mana and an incantation, a seal, a scroll or a mental command to your aria. Like you would do to use a spell, you need to say the name of your skill to use it, or you can use an incantation....Or if you are good enough, you can literally just tell your Aria to use the skill. The Aria would use the spell for you which would be like you used it yourself, but it will be faster. A skill, as I said is unique, but unique just means that you can't teach it to anyone, though many people can have the same skill. Like the Berserker skill per example, a very common skill that can boost the user's offensive power but leave them defenseless and pretty much mindless. Now for the Talents. They are like passive spells, techniques or skills. However like skills they are unique, they cannot be canceled and unlike spells, techniques and skills, they can grow. Just think of them as ultimate passive skills.´ Said Aria, who unlike Bora was aware of the woman's presence but didn't say anything.

' *Sigh* You know what ? I don't think I'll ever remember what you just said. I think I'm just gonna wait until I got one of them and see.' Thought Bora.
´ Well when you get a Divine Bracelet, you'll be able to see your stats. Which means you'll see if you have any skill or talents. Talents can unawakened, so don't be surprised if you see that you have talents even though they don't have any effect. Skills are a bit trickier. I personally can only use the God of Greed's skills because I have his energy. I'll only be able to help you use your skills after you try them yourself. I'm not even sure you have any. By the way don't forget that people who can completely communicate with their Aria are rare, like extremely rare. So you'll have to use your skills, spells and techniques on your own sometimes. Sorry, but you'll have to shout the name of your attacks like a dumbass.' Said Aria, clearly mocking Bora who just ignored him.
Bora sighed and got up. Stretching he looked around and saw a cigarette still burning on the ground.
« Huh ? Was there anyone standing there just now ? » Asked Bora.
´ Not that I'm aware of Master~'

Obligate of a Self-Ordained Sorcerer
Come join the Discord! It was a typical late-night friday for Mara, secluded in her apartment in front of a digital expanse, relentlessly mashing code into a keyboard. An introverted workaholic, but this was what she wanted - what she had strived so hard to achieve. So why did she feel so lost? Her life was productive, comfortable, satisfying. Plenty had it worse but she still felt... ungrateful? Stunted? The right word escaped her, but she could feel the general revelation settling upon her. With it came a choice that would set events in motion far beyond the meager scope of a 'New Game+'. So taking an intrusive portal to god-knows-where, Mara will come to find that her new world offers boons and banes with equal abandon. Magic, skills, and unforgiving difficulty. For a frail human shut-in, finding herself stranded in the middle of a sprawling dungeon was one of the least desirable outcomes. Food and water would be the least of her problems, why oh why couldn't she just get summoned by some pervy king to slay a demon army or something? This is a story of magic and adventure with skills and stats galore. A litrpg / isekai epic that I've been inspired to make after years of wonderful works like "So I'm a Spider," "Rimuru the Slime," "Azarinth Healer," "Negima!?," and plethora of other isekai and fantasy novels and animes. Special shout-out to Douglas Adams, a big influence on narative humor that's had a non-insignificant effect on my writing style. I hope you enjoy joining Mara on her journey as I attempt to scratch the itch they left behind.Chapters target 3-6k~ words. Though I'm personally aiming for a chapter every couple weeks, I think I can at least promise one a month with how busy work's been. I made a Patreon due to requests, if you'd like to support me there I'll be using it to fund artwork and RR ads for increased exposure.
