As Yi Jun was pulling on the horses, he heard a sound. He stopped the horses and felt as if something bad happened, but when he looked in the Carriage it was simply that Zhou Ye awoke.

The Seven then looked to Zhou Ye and started to ask Questions, they asked where he came from and what Sect he was going to and the like.....

Zhou Ye only said his name and a few other things... He said that he came from a Third Rate City and was going to Lightning Hall, as he said this, one of the seven then said, "We are as well! We'll probably take a day or two....."

The Journey was about two thirds done, it would only take about an hour or two to become three-quarters done. However going up the hill.....

For them, it might take a day or so.... One was that horses and carriages couldn't get up there, fortunately killing was prohibited and when horses arrived there, they would automatically go to their stables.

In the distance far away, there were ten horsemen, the speed of the horses compared to the carriage was simply incomparable. The horses were too quick in comparison to the carriage...

Not just that, as the ten horsemen went together, it created a sense of terrifying aura, the leader held a halberd, it even seemed to have some Qi on it....

Though the horses were quick, the distance was still large...

About an hour passed, Zhou Ye was bombarded with questions, but he eventually decided to simply ignore them.

As he was in the carriage, two of the people decided to sit outside of it and on top of it with Yi Jun.

At this time, they could hear the sounds of horsemen, it was loud and powerful....

Yi Jun yanked the reins to make the horses go quicker, he did so lightly and not with much force as he didn't want to cause the horse to much pain.

But the horses seemed to go crazy.... They started to go slightly green, Yi Jun then remarked, "Greendust Poison!".

Greendust Poison was a simple poison, to Cultivators it would have minimal effects, to the horses that Yi Jun used, it would be fatal....

What was scary was that it didn't kill horses right away, it would do so whenever they would get tired, nobody knew why, perhaps the creator knew, but many hypothesized it to due to horses not properly swallowing the Qi or when it got tired something within its stomach would react....

However, to the horses that the ten mercenaries were using, they were much stronger and would only be a slightly impaired with minimal effects by the Greendust Poison.

The horses then fell over, as did the carriage, they were in a slightly grassy terrain, so none of the people within were hurt too much.

The Eight then stood up together and all began to come near each other, they all drew a weapon of some sort.

Yi Jun held a short sword as did the others, this was basic protection against normal bandits, they were, after all, at least Outer Disciples of Lightning Hall, with swords, they should be enough any ordinary bandit party.

In about two harrowing minutes, the horsemen were in front of the Eight.

Just one moment before they would've trampled the Eight, the horses stopped.

The Ten looked to the Eight, the comparison between the two was simply too big.

One group didn't just outnumber the other, they had stronger weapons, better horses and individually far greater strength.

The Leader looked to the Eight and loudly said, "Listen here, little ones, this Leader, is looking for Yi Jun!".

There was a moment of silence before the Nine other horsemen began to go around the Eight, they drew their weapons, it was all swords of roughly the same length.

The Eight were frozen stiff, they knew the reputation of these Bandits....

Or rather mercenaries....

They were known as the Thunder Collapse Mercenaries, every strike that connected with their weapons, was like the sound of thunder collapsing!

The City Lord once even tried dealing with them, however, these Mercenaries with their horses were too quick and their Leader was said to have been withstood a single strike, but the Leader was then severely weakened and didn't appear for a month.

Yi Jun looking at these bandits, cursed inside, "That stupid old man! He must want my inheritance!".

The Leader smiled and then said, "I'll question you all one by one, to see who it is..."

At that second, Yi Jun was grabbed, he was started to be pulled, however at the same time, a sigh could be heard.

This came from the carriage, the Leader simply ignored it, but then he heard a yawn after it.

He let go of Yi Jun and holding his halberd he walked slowly to the fallen carriage.

"Let's see who it is!". The leader then struck the carriage with his halberd, the carriage exploded, there seemed to be Qi on the Halberd.

But at that time, he felt that he couldn't move the Halberd a tiny bit.....

For Zhou Ye, he overheard everything, however, he didn't dare to try and block the halberd, he simply decided to wait for it to hit the carriage, once it did, and the moment that it blew up the carriage....

It would stop, he then took that chance to grab the halberd in less than a second as quick as he could.

Zhou Ye knew that if he tried blocking or grabbing it while it moved, his hand would be simply chopped off.... If he waited for it to stop, then there would be no force which his hand would face.

Though it was sharp and had some Qi on it, it seemed to be quite normal, yet not a Quasi Spirit Artefact, but not too far....

Zhou Ye slowly stood up, whilst still grabbing the Halberd.

The leader was quite shocked, he tried to pull and pull, he then had a thought, "Ha, I'll just threaten his friends..."

But before he could speak, he noticed something was happening to the Halberd, there was a sound.

It was if steel was being crunched or smashed....

He saw the part that Zhou Ye grabbed was being broken.....

The Leader tried to pull, even more, however, it just broke even quicker!

If it was an actual Quasi Spirit Artefact, Zhou Ye wouldn't be able to break it so easily.

But he broke something that was close, at this time, he started to walk closer and closer.

The Leader seeing this, stumbled back, at this time, Zhou Ye stared at the Horsemen, in them was also fear, they subconsciously moved their Horses back.

The Leader then shouted, "Kill his friends!". (Not sure if this is realistic or unrealistic)

Zhou Ye then ran to the Horsemen, but the Horsemen stood their ground and attempted, but surprisingly, the Eight children.... (I say Children, but they're taller and stronger than what we consider Children)

Managed to parry the strikes, Zhou Ye then jumped and appeared in front of a Horsemen, he then kicked him off...

He did so for the others, the Leader seeing this, simply muttered, "Freak....."

What wasn't surprising wasn't the Eight parrying the strikes or Zhou Ye jumping, it was breaking the Halberd.

The Halberd weighed two hundred Jin and if swung properly would make one thousand Jin of force and with the Qi, it would be an extra five hundred.

When Zhou Ye grabbed the Halberd, it was as if he blocked it, the Leader thought it too, this was why he was afraid...

Zhou Ye then ran to the Leader, his speed was incredible, he attempted to punch the Leader, but the Leader dodged, he then said to Zhou Ye,

"Little one, you must be a distinguished member of Lightning Hall? I am but a simple Mercenary that has been deceived and asked to capture one called Yi Jun, I was told that he was a traitor to the City!".

Seeing that Zhou Ye wasn't listening, he then said, "I am no saint, but I can assure you I only do what my job entails me to do!".

Zhou Ye then said, "What does your job entail you to do?".

The Leader's face turned into a smile and he said, "Little one, I was ordered to capture Yi Jun for him to be a traitor, but it appears that he can't be a traitor if he is a friend to one like you!".

The Leader had a tongue that spun lies, though they were lies, they were without a doubt, well presented and well said....

Zhou Ye then looked to the Leaders Chest and saw a Velvet Vest, he could see the Qi acting within it....

"Are you repentant?".

The Leader nodded his head, "I am!".

Zhou Ye then pointed to him and said, "Then give my your Vest, or I will take it from you....."

There was a moment of silence, the Nine Horsemen knew that the Leader was able to survive the attack from the City Lord, only due to the Vest.....

The Leader replied, "Little one, one shouldn't get greedy....."

Zhou Ye made a stop closer and began to close in, he attempted to punch the Leader.

The Leader blocked in time, he was pushed back slightly, he sighed relief, but at the next second, Zhou Ye disappeared.

He tried to look behind him, as he did, Zhou Ye was already behind him and had jumped to punch his face....

The Leader was thrown back several meters....

If he was punched in the Chest, he likely wouldn't feel anything, but at the face, it was harsh....

Zhou Ye immediately appeared in front of the fallen Leader, he then said again, "The Vest... or your life?".

There was a sense of coldness within his eyes, but it was merely an act.

The Leader took of his Vest and said to the nine, "Brothers, let us leave, we will act another day...."

Zhou Ye took the Vest, he didn't wear it, this was as long as he could breakthrough to the next stage of his Cultivation.

The Vest would become useless, and he could sense his breakthrough would be soon.

He then walked to Yi Jun and gave it to him, "This is yours, for helping me when I fell down... After I got trampled by your horses....."

Yi Jun then smiled and accepted it, Zhou Ye thought to himself at the same time, "No? I thought you would've said something like, No you take it, you took it off him... But you simply accepted it..."

Yi Jun then wore it and simply smiled, there was a moment of silence. (I like moments of silence)

It was then broken by one of the seven that said, "Brother Zhou, you must be an Inner Disciple right?".

Zhou Ye simply nodded his head.

Yi Jun looked to Zhou Ye and said, "Those Mercenaries were the Thunder Collapse Mercenaries...

Zhou Ye smiled and thought to himself, "I've changed I guess...
