《Sovereign Immortal (Technically not cancelled?)》Chapter 21. Leaving Home

The Beast Army was now receding, the three invaded locations and their respective Leaders began to cry out tears of joy.
Whilst the Beast Army wasn't too big, it brought the fear of an Enlightened Beast, however, if one such did exist, it would've acted by now, instead of simply sending three Armies.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As the Beasts were receding, just outside of the Dreaded Earth Lands was a crazed man, he wore a Crimson Robe, and in his hands was a small Pill, the next second, he disappeared....
At that same time, Yuan Li who was sitting down suddenly stood up.
He muttered words only he himself could hear, the next moment, he also disappeared.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Zhou Ye was currently walking back home, each step was meter traversed.
Before he even knew it, he was already back home.
He came back to see that his Mother and Father were there, his Father laughed, looked to Zhou Ye saying, "Ye'er, did you hear of Cheng'er and his incredible talent?
I heard he came from the "Ye" or so family, his Mother must've married into someone of our Family!"
As he said this, he heard his wife, saying otherwise.
"Nonsense! It could've been his Father that married into us!".
Zhou Ye's Father then laughed and said, "That's very rare....."
The Mother smiled and replied, "Ok then! Brother Mo, why did you take my Surname then?".
(Zhou Ye's Father's surname before "Ye" was "Mo")
The Father became silent for a breath of time and then began to laugh and replied, "Because you kept telling me to!".
They continued to nag on and on, but Zhou Ye smiled, he just wanted to be himself....
From meeting Tang Xuan to where he was now, everything felt like a dream.
He had thoughts on what would've happened if he never met Tang Xuan, would he be happier or sadder, regardless of power.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At another area, was a meditating figure, it looked to only be about twelve or so years old.
The meditating figure was clearly male and wore a loose white robe embroidered with crimson flames that appeared lifelike.
His body had a tiny shine, and it was even slightly transparent, one could see his veins were overflowing with energy, his Dantian was clouded making it unable for others to see.
This was none other than Ye Cheng.
At this time, there were three figures looking at him.
One was the Golden Fire Sect Representative, another was a female wearing a similar robe to that of Ye Cheng's, however, the flames were noticeably bigger and even more lifelike.
There was also a male wearing a violet robe with white embroidered flame and within his eyes seemed to be a hint of flame, if anyone was to see him, they would shout out, "Grand Ghost Flame Sect!"
The Grand Ghost Flame Sect was an Evil Sect, true to their name, they were one of the Sects that ranked at the top for Evil Sects, in both notoriety and power.
Their Cultivation Method was to use the powers of the enemies they killed, whilst did this seem Evil, in comparison to Demonic Methods, it seemed righteous.
Demonic Sects were known to drain the life essence of people, stealing Bodies, devouring Souls, were all common, but Evil Sects would at most only raise the undead they themselves killed and create puppets of what they killed.
Raising undead and creating puppets were without a doubt controversial, however, for one to actually raise someone from the dead or create a puppet, they themselves would have to be the one to kill them, the Heavens were truly strange in their workings....
The Violet Robed Man was astounded as he saw Ye Cheng, he had a crooked smile and said, "Brother and Sister Li, the Grand Ghost Flame Sect will definitely take him! I can assure you that there will be no troubles at all!"
The Golden Fire Sect Representative looked sternly to the Violet Robed Man and replied, "Yang Tao, can we really trust you?
Yang Tao replied happily, "If not me, who can you trust? Brother Li, you and your Sister are chained by the Golden Fire Sect, if you bring that child to the Grand Ghost Flame Sect, you'll certainly be free!".
The woman's face then became a bit angry as she replied, "What do you mean chained? The Grand Ghost Flame Sect is one of the Evilest Sects in the World!"
Yang Tao replied, "Sister Li, you are chained, what you don't know is that the World is more than just this Continent! In fact, the Ancestor of my Sect has even broken through to the Fourth Transition!".
Hearing this, the Brother and Sister Pair was stunned, what did Fourth Transition mean? It was the level everyone believed the Ven Ru (The King) to be at when he killed Qarn Zeben with a single Word.
After all, Qarn Zeben had a terrible foundation in the Second Transition, and each Transition was a major difference.
The Golden Fire Sect Master was only a Peak Emergent as was it for Lightning Hall and the Brilliant Moon and Rising Sun Sect.
Their Ancestors were all reclusive figures, for a junior, it wouldn't be worthy to act, even the Ven King would have to think before acting against the Ghost Flame Ancestor if he tried to take Ye Cheng.
After all, the Ghost Flame Ancestor could now kill a few Third Transition Beasts and raise them from the dead to unleash them onto the Ven Kingdom.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Zhou Ye talked with his Parents, he felt his life as the same before he met Tang Xuan, simple and without worries.
Then before he could his Dinner, his Mother suddenly reminded him of something, "Ye'er, the Family Competition is soon!".
Zhou Ye forgot all about it, there was a Family Competition where people would fight, it would always happen on the Fifth Day after the Coming of Age Ceremony, thus most people of the Zhou Family would leave on the Sixth Day.
When Zhou Ye heard this, he immediately replied, "Mother, Father, I think I will leave for the Lightning Hall on the Fourth Day!".
His Father then replied, "Nonsense, the Fourth Day is the Patriarchal Conferment, the Current Patriarch who is our Great, Great, Grand Uncle will be replaced by our Great Great Grand Father....."
Zhou Ye had many relatives, this was because, Cultivators married at young ages, with many people and lived to extreme ages.
His Great Grand Mother had married several men, and she had given birth to dozens of Children, each of the Children flocked to the Mothers side and helped her become the Current Grand Elder.....

She did so at the age of only twenty.... She was currently about One Hundred and Eighty, she was barely keeping up with her age, and her lifespan was near its end, however, she nearly had as many descendants as her age.....
(Including the Sons and Daughters of her own Sons and Daughters and etc.)
Zhou Ye then replied, "Father I will leave the Third Day...."
His Mother then said, "Again with your nonsense, the Third Day is......
His Father then said, "The Second Day is none other than.....
Zhou Ye then asked, "Can I leave today?". His Parents both looked to him and said, "Look at this, our Child wants to go to the Sect already! It's a shame that the carriages have already left...."
Zhou Ye then replied, "I can walk!".
His Mother started to cry a bit and say, "Our child has grown!". His Father then sighed and said, "Ye'er, you can go, but at least write back to us every week or so!".
Zhou Ye kowtowed to his Parents and replied, "Of course". He then began to leave, at this time, he felt an incredible hunger come to him, but he had to keep on walking.....
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
About a day passed, Zhou Ye was currently walking, and he remembered that he had yet to eat since the Coming of Age Ceremony, he was around half way there to Lightning Hall.....
He got weaker and weaker, but even if he fainted, he wouldn't die of hunger as he had Heavens Nourishment..... (Just Qi as Nourishment)
Any other Spirit Foundation Acolyte would've fainted by now....
He was currently taking a path, on his way, he took a stick to support him, this Path would take him about three-quarters of the way, and the last quarter would be simply going up a hill....
On him, was nothing but the stick he had, an Inner Disciple of Lightning Hall Medallion with his name engraved, the clothes on his back and a small purse of gold....
He didn't know why, but he decided to take his gold that he had saved up, it was only about five taels of gold, whenever there was a Patriarchal Conferment, everyone would be given a Tael of Gold, this was only worthwhile to the poorest of Branch Members.
Zhou Ye had saved about three of them and was given two overall from his Birthdays, that only his Parents celebrated....
Suddenly he heard the sound of horses and a voice from behind, Zhou Ye very slowly moved to see what was behind him, the next second he was trampled, but before he was, he heard this, "Watch out! The horse is out of control!!".
Zhou Ye: -_-
The horses were pulling a carriage, but something made them go out of control, the horses then began to stop, at this time, a young man came out of the carriage, he saw Zhou Ye and said, "Great Heavens, please tell me he is alive! I don't want a ghost to be following me if he dies!".
The young man picked up Zhou Ye and began to take him into the carriage, on top of the Carriage were two words, "Asnia City".
Asnia City was a Third Rate City, but unlike, the City that Zhou Ye was born within, this was a True Third Rate City, the resources were terrible.
The City Lord was only a Pseudo Soul Emergent, the City had never in its history come up with an Inner Disciple of any of the Five Sects, they mostly had lesser known Sects where the Sect Ancestor or Master had yet to become a Prominent Soul.
When Zhou Ye was put into the Carriage, there were about seven other people... This carriage though big, looked like it would only fit about six people comfortably, as for eight people? They would be squished and now with Zhou Ye entered, one of the seven protested, "Yi Jun, our carriage is virtually full already.... Why would you do this to us!".
They would be squished and now with Zhou Ye entered, one of the seven protested, "Yi Jun, our carriage is virtually full already.... Why would you do this to us!".
The one that protested did so with a smile, he meant this as a joke, the other six then began to laugh and Yi Jun giggled a bit as well, and tried to put Zhou Ye slightly above the one or next to to the one that protested.
Yi Jun then began to hold the reins of the horses, he was actually the one that had to take the carriage.... In Zhou Ye's City there would be some people to do it for them, however, Asnia City was simply to pitiful and poor.....
If Yi Jun didn't bring back the horses and carriages, he and the other boys would get no resources for a month....
The Horses and Carriages weren't cheap, but they were compared to Eight people's resources for a month...
Zhou Ye was currently in a coma state, the other seven didn't touch him, as they learned when they were younger, that touching a corpse would cause the ghost to chase them after death!
This was obviously nothing more than to scare them, but they definitely believed it....
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At a small city, there was a man without a right hand, he had a distinct scar on his left eye and in front of him were ten people that seemed to be mercenaries.
The leader of the mercenaries was handshaking the man with his left hand, and in his eyes were a sense of greed as his right hand held several taels of Gold.....
The man then said, "Kill the one called Yi Jun, even though he is an Outer Disciple, before he gets to the Lightning Hall he is nothing special...."
The leader of the mercenaries smiled and with the nine behind him, he started to get on an horse, the horse was tall and much bigger than those of the carriage and moved at simply incredible speeds.....
At this time, Zhou Ye was beginning to wake up as he felt a bad feeling...

World governments raced to find and eradicate the abilities and those who possess them while using the media to rule by fear. Whereas corporations sought to exploit the abilities for profit. Raz Owens was living the dream - a rising star at a job he enjoys, a girlfriend he loves, but it all comes crashing down when Raz disregards his late father's advice. He is pulled into a chaotic underworld of clandestine labs, shadow organizations, and super-powered criminals. Used as a human test subject in a place where few survive the day, he must last long enough to escape. His only advantage? A power that seems nearly useless—a heads-up display. Contains: monsters, violence, death, dismemberment, gamelit, superpowers, superpower consequences, good guys, bad guys, good guys who might be bad guys, bad guys who think they are good guys, good guys that might go bad, bad guys that might turn good, guns for hire, competence, incompetence, continence, incontinence, conspiracies, and some of what I just said wasn't true. This story is written in third person limited POV. That means you can expect to know many of the thoughts and inner dialog of one character, and only see the actions of other characters. This POV does include scenes without the main character, and thus the reader can and will know things the main character does not. Further, this means characters act on what they know, which is almost always less than the reader knows. Something else to know. These books do not hold your hand. If you're reading it and thinking "Gosh, why aren't 'they' doing some 'obvious' thing." Bad news. You probably missed something that explains exactly that. If you're seeking a light read that doesn't ask much of you as the reader, you're invited and very welcome to come on in, but this might not be the story for you.

Bon Week-end
He runs the underground. She’s made it her playground. Their time together--the stuff of pulp fiction. When a corrupt corporate conspiracy threatens to tear them apart, they blast back with their offbeat brand of crime and chaos. This story is just one from the pulps. Film critic Roger Ebert once described them as ‘cheap, disposable entertainment that you could take to work with you, and roll up and stick in your back pocket.’ So do just that--and read it on the weekend. Bon Week-end is a novel written in the tradition of Jean-Patrick Manchette’s neo-polar, existing now as what shall be known as the neo-serial. This is Nippoten’s second serial following the superhero epic Entirely Presenting You. This novel will have a rather unique release schedule compared to others. The Doormat Villainess – Adrianne
A villainess is a character who has always been diametrically opposed to the heroine of a romance drama. What makes a person a good villainess? The fact that she's unabashedly beautiful and charismatic, yet also rotten inside? The fact that she's incredibly loathsome, greedy, and selfish? That she's reasonably strong enough to be a hurdle, yet ultimately powerless in the face of a determined heroine? That despite all these character flaws, a Villainess's greatest virtue is unwilling to give up until the last of their breath, in pursuit of her personal desire? If those are the hallmark of a successful Villainess. Then, I might be the wrong person to play that role. Also on Scribblehub (Profile)
