《Sovereign Immortal (Technically not cancelled?)》Chapter 18. Four Tests, The Mind-Heart, The Physique, The Spirit-Soul and Essence (Part Ten)

Currently, there were people that were talking to each other, not all of them were, however, the children, some were from the Three Sects that were betting on who would get the best results.
There was also an old man talking to a man in Silver Armour and Sect Disciples arguing against each other, this was for a single reason.
This was because the Test was currently starting.
Many people were excited, but those that came from the Three Families weren't truly excited.
They knew that only if one received a very high grade, that they would be seen in good eyes.
Those such as Zhou Zixin, Kov Zedong and others could easily become a Late Spirit Foundation Master, perhaps if they were lucky for their talent in the Spirit-Soul, they might reach the Emergence Stage.
They were unlike their less achieving peers, extremely excited and wanting to get a good grade.
This was because even if one had an incredible Spirit-Soul, without a good Physique, how could they enter the Peak of Spirit Foundation to become an Emergent and use the Spirit-Soul in the first place?
There were even cases where people with an incredible Spirit-Soul were denied to some sects, this was because whilst they had a sufficient Spirit-Soul to become an Emergent, the resources needed for them to first become a Peak Spirit Foundation Master would be greater than what the sects would bother to afford for.

At this moment, Chen Fu and Li Deshi were chatting to each other in a room.
"I hope you can help me find him" Li Deshi's voice was quiet, but at the same time loud.
Chen Fu replied with, "Brother Li, you can count on me!".
Suddenly a knock was heard on the door.
"Come in", Li Deshi's voice had a hint of anger, but it was more of just being a bit annoyed.
Coming inside was a man wearing faintly glowing silver armour, on the silver armour was a symbol, it was the Symbol of the Zhenren Empire.
The Symbol of the Zhenren Empire was a Serpent, a black and white one.
It looked similar to a coiling dragon, as the Black Serpent was eating the tail of the White Serpent, and the White Serpent was eating the tail of the Black Serpent.
Other than the Symbol there was also a Golden Strand, this was the enchantment of the Armour.
Normally Silver Armour would be penetrable by even Mortals with Swords.
But this Enchantment made it equivalent to a Grade 2 Spirit Armour.
Automatically, this Silver Armour would be impenetrable to anyone below the Spirit Master of the Late Foundation.
If a Mortal received this Armour, in a battle of ten thousand, he would likely be the only survivor, it went on to the idea that Mortals would likely die from fatigue or be too hot within the armour than anything, rather than battle with the armour on.
But most importantly, the Silver Armour, Symbol and Strand made the man's position evident.
He was a Captain of the Grand Zhenren Imperial Forces. This position meant that he was at least a Spirit Master of the Late Foundation, which he was.

But if you compared his position to Chen Fu, much more Li Deshi, he would be nothing.
Chen Fu then looked at the man and said, "State your business? Can't you see, I'm with a guest?".
Chen Fu couldn't be bothered to remember all the names of guards, there was nobody noticeable, so he chose not to.
The Captain then replied in a confident tone, "Lord, I am Captain Aiguo, I have been asked by an Elder of the Yun Star Sect to relay a message, however....."
Before Captain Aiguo could finish his sentence, Chen Fu interrupted him and said, "What is the message? I don't want a, however!".
Captain Aiguo then replied, though this time nervously, "Lord.... He didn't have the nicest tone or nicest words to say...".
At the same time, Li Deshi had his eyes closed, he closed them when he heard Captain Aiguo knocking, he had actually heard what the Elder said to Captain Aiguo.
Chen Fu then replied, "Do you want to be Court Martialled? Tell us the message!".
Li Deshi smiled and said, "Don't bother, Brother Chen, I already know the message".
Chen Fu then said, "Captain Aiguo, leave the room please".
Captain Aiguo then left, Chen Fu then immediately asked, "Brother Li's ability is great, you must have an incredible amount of foresight to already know what he would say!".
He was obviously sucking up to Li Deshi, he knew that Li Deshi would be able to hear it through his ways, but decided to praise his foresight instead.
Chen Fu then asked, "What did the Yun Star Sect Elder say?".
Li Deshi then replied, "So so, nothing important".
Chen Fu then replied, "That Elder, however, is quite despicable, he got a Captain of the Army instead of bringing himself, he must have said something bad as he wasn't brave enough to come himself"
Li Deshi, "Perhaps, Perhaps...."
Chen Fu himself was a General of the Army.
The Grand Zhenren Imperial Forces had ranks divided into a clear hierarchy.
The bottom was what was known as the Bronze Class with the Soldiers, Sergeant and Lieutenant.
The Three ranks wore Bronze Armour with the Symbol and a Silver Strand, the Silver Strand was a Grade 1 Spirit Imprint which made the Bronze Armour, a grade 1 Spirit Armour.
Each strand was a representative of rank, one strand meant a Soldier and Three meant a Lieutenant.
They were normally at the Spirit Masters of the Middle Foundation or lower.
After the Bronze Class was the Silver Class.
Silver Captains, Silver Commander and Silver Colonel.
They were at the very least a Spirit Master of the Late Foundation and a Silver Colonel was half a step into Soul Emergence.
Wearing Grade 2 Spirit Armours, they were quite strong compared to even normal Cultivators.
Anyone below the Gold Class in the Grand Zhenren Imperial Forces was someone that likely joined the army as they had to due to financial reasons or to escape a crime through paying off the empire.
As for Chen Fu, he was a Gold General, that was all that was needed to say.....

Captain Aiguo was talking to an Elder, this was the Yun Star Sect Elder that told him what to say.
The Yun Star Sect Elder looked with a face of slight anger and said, "Very well, I myself will go and visit him then!".
Li Deshi smiled all of a sudden and said to Chen Fu, "We have a visitor".
Chen Fu noticed that Li Deshi smiled and immediately opened the door to see who it was, and saw an old man, this was the Yun Star Sect Elder.
Chen Fu moved out of the way and the Yun Star Sect Elder looked to Li Deshi in the eyes.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Zhou Ye was currently sitting down, he was quite bored.
He waiting for the Spirit-Soul Test to start and he saw a few Elders saying that the Test should start.
Even though the Physique Test itself had already been done early, and they were ahead by half an hour.
The Elders, especially from the Yun Star Sect wished to start Tests early, they, after all, looked down on the Three Families.
Origin Temple was silent in this matter, their disciples were also silent too.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Li Deshi and the Yun Star Sect Elder looked at each other, they stared each other down.
They started in debating, but Li Deshi won the debate easily.
Next, they played a game of Chess, the Yun Star Sect Elder then won within ten moves.
They continued debating and playing games of the mind, Chen Fu felt quite bored as he watched the two.
But he had to admit that Li Deshi was a terrible Chess player.
Losing within ten moves?
Chen Fu felt that he could at least last Twenty or even Thirty moves!
In fact, the first eight moves were basically given to Li Deshi, but Li Deshi didn't properly utilize his chances...
He thought that Li Deshi was only playing around, but it turned out that Li Deshi was simply bad at Chess......
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At another location, there was Teng Nation.
There was an old man.
He wore a Violet Robe, embroidered with Golden Stripes and on his head was a Crooked Crown.
He had a twisted smile and planked eyes, when he spoke, his tongue turned.
This was the Teng Nation's Sovereign.
Though he looked as he did, when one was near him, they felt a sense of happiness....
It was warmth and the feeling of contentment.
He said loudly and joyously, "Brother Wu, how is our front going?".
Next to him was a young man, he looked to only be at most in his twenties.
"Brother Teng, it is going well, we have lost quite a few of our people and the Empire is demanding more and more people".
The young man called Brother Wu looked to only be twenty, but he was actually at least a few Hundred and was even a bit older than the old man.
But the Teng Sovereign chose to not keep his youthful appearance when cultivating, unlike the young man.
"Brother Wu.... Do you think one day that we will be free from the Empire? Our people die and so do others? Why can't there be a single Empire?".
"Brother Teng is surely ambitious, striving to rule the entire Continent?". The young man called Brother Wu remarked in a sarcastic tone,
The Teng Sovereign replied, "Brother Wu, I dare not to, I simply hope that one day, the Continent will be unified, though if it's unified by the Infernal Dusk Empire, it's better off fragmented!".
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At this time, Li Deshi and the Yun Star Sect were arguing with each other.
The argument had actually turned in to them shouting to each other.
This argument was simply about who wore the more stylish clothes.
Chen Fu simply watched and felt quite bored.
Eventually, Li Deshi got angry and simply shouted out, "Alright I get it, you're just trying to get me to start the test early! Fine! I'll do it then!".
At that time, Li Deshi disappeared in a flash, he then put on a ring on his right hand, all of a sudden about hundreds of talent orbs appeared.
There was actually too many....
He then shouted out, "You know the grades! Simply put your hand over it and it will record your best result!".
As for the Yun Star Sect Elder, he was surprised and even shivering a bit.
He saw Li Deshi disappear in a flash, and then sense him at the Hall where all the Tests were being taken place at.
Not just that, he didn't see any afterimages.
No matter how fast someone was, there would be an afterimage.
For there to not be an afterimage, there would have to be a few conditions.
One would be that one disappeared and reappeared, this was the concept of Dimension Walking, but that was only a Legend.
Another was Teleportation, this was far more achievable, but it wasn't known who in the Era could do so, perhaps some in another continent could do so, but definitely not on the Black Serpent Continent.
There was also Temporal Distortions similar to Dimension Walking, but like it, it was only a Legend.
Li Deshi reappeared to the shock of the Yun Star Sect Elder.
Li Deshi looked to the Yun Star Sect Elder and then said, "Haha, alright let's continue our debate!".
The Yun Star Sect Elder then quickly said, "My apologies, but I have to go now!".
Li Deshi then look at surprise as he saw him go, but decided to at least remark on it, "Very well, I hope I see you whenever our paths cross again!".
The Elder thought to himself, "I hope so not!".
Chen Fu then looked to Li Deshi and said in a hesitating tone, "Brother Li, you can teleport???".
Li Deshi then replied, "Nothing special....."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Zhou Ye was currently holding an orb in his hand, and then the orb started to shine and a colour started to appear....
