《The Crawford's Multiverse of Madness》Chapter 373 - Zil The Walking Apocalypse

Zil landed inside the Chariot as if she never left in the first place, but Lara couldn't help but look at her in a new light…
With the Draconic Energy strengthening her physique, Lara thought that she was well above Zil in combat ability, but that obviously wasn't the case…
"A very lethal ESPER ability…" The Red Queen explained, hoping no distrust would be birthed between the two women "Lara can expel emotion from her body, or the body of anyone she touches… the expelled energy creates an infectious cloud that acts like a virus… the infection potency relies on the strength of the emotion…"
"What about the color?" Zil questioned, unaware of the specifics of her own ability…
Alice and Elizabeth only ever mentioned that it was dangerous, and she should not use it unless her life is threatened by a powerful foe…
"The color represents the fuel for the emotions… red is rage, yellow is happy, etc…" The Red Queen frowned "It can jump from host to host, so Zil is basically a walking biological weaponry…"
"Even I didn't know this…" Zil admitted, sad that she could not realize her full potential while her mothers were still here…
"It's why Zeel kept you alive…" The Red Queen admitted with a deep sigh "When he awakened from his slumber and learned that Alice and Elizabeth had adopted a child, his first thought was to kill you… but I convinced him otherwise…"
"Zeel is not easily convinced…" Lara quickly pointed out "What made him change his mind?"
Unlike the solemn Lara, Zil was heartbroken "My father wanted to kill me?" she asked, tears leaking from her eyes…
"Make no mistake, child…" The Red Queen quickly shut down any fantasies Zil was having inside her mind "Zeel was never your father… even Elizabeth is just a pet to him, so at best, you would be the servant of the pets…"
"You dodged the question…" Lara was quick to notice, the noise of the pursuing cars fading into the background "Why did Zeel spare Zil's life?"
"An experiment…" The Red Queen replied bluntly, deciding the truth was the best remedy, even if it was unbearably bitter…
Zil raised her head "An experiment?"
"He activated a few of the nanites in Alice's bloodstream and extracted DNA strands that allowed her to withstand the T-virus…" The Red Queen shuddered at the thought that even after all this time, Zeel still kept untainted samples of the T-virus "He injected the virus into your body just to see what would happen…"

"That is why her powers can infect people like a virus…" Lara gasped, looking at Zil a bit frightened "You're not a weapon… you're a world-killing virus…"
"My mothers allowed this?" Zil questioned, wiping her tears as the heaviness in her heart settled…
"Ella and Alle were in charge of growing your negative emotions…" The Red Queen confirmed, "Negative emotions are stronger than positive ones, so with the right trigger, you could infect a country with hatred…"
A couple of seconds passed in absolute silence…
Occasionally, Lara would aim the cyber-rifle out of the window, shooting anyone that was getting too close to the chariot…
"Why admit to everything now?" Zil inquired…
"Because it doesn't matter…" The Red Queen shrugged "I can't detect Zeel, and I can't feel Elizabeth, and I can barely sense Alice…"
"What do you mean?" Lara tensed, sensing that earthshattering news would be relayed next…
"They are dead…" The Red Queen whispered solemnly, a bitter taste in her mouth…
----BBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM---
Purple energy, almost as black as night, pulsed from Zil's body, expanding nearly half a mile instantaneously…
All chasing cars bashed into each other…
Nearby Pedestrians clawed at their own faces, shedding their skins like snakes…
The helicopters in the air swerved, and fell out of the skies…
An entire section of London entered hysteria mode…
Mothers killing their children…
Elderly dropping dead with looks of absolute terror on their faces…
Even birds fell from the sky with the heaviness of tossed rocks…
Amidst all the chaos, The Red Queen faintly smirked because this result was exactly what she wanted from Zil…
"Zeel and his women are not so easy to kill…" The Red Queen mentioned after the damage was done…
Her statement brought life back into Zil's eyes…
Zil's attachment to her mothers was infallible, but even more amazing to The Red Queen was the fact that Zeel was right to keep Zil alive…
Zeel foresaw that she would become a wonderful trump card, and he was right…
The chariot continued its journey unhindered… there was no one left to give chase…
Even the mercenary reinforcements were forced to take a couple of steps back, figuring out just how to approach Zil, Lara, and The Red Queen…
Zil had bought them valuable time, and that's all The Red Queen needed…
Despite what their pursuers thought, The Red Queen was not about to go into hiding, she was prepared to jump Universes…

"GRRR…" Lara's growl woke Zil and The Red Queen from their stupor…
Zil's earlier wave of terror had affected everyone, even Lara, but she seemed to resist the effects somewhat…
"Et Supermos Absit Hoc Hodie…" The Red Queen whispered, and the raging Draconic Energy in Lara's body was instantly quelled…
"What did you do?" Lara questioned suspiciously, not liking the fact that a few words from The Red Queen could quell her power…
Still, all Lara's inquiry received was silence…
---------------------
Nearly an hour later, the chariot was speeding through desolate mountain trails…
Zil and Lara were steadying their minds for the journey to come…
Even though The Red Queen had not explicitly stated it, they could figure that the journey they were about to embark on would not be on planet Earth…
Maybe, not even the same Universe if such absurdity could be believed…
---BEEEP---
---BEEEP---
The Chariot, which was moving at fast speeds, suddenly slowed and diverted from the established route…
"What's your problem…" Zil smacked the Chariot, irked by the fact that The Red Queen switched directions just as they were about to arrive at the coordinates indicated…
"Just being cautious…" The Red Queen stated, hopping from the Chariot back into the watch on Zil's wrist "Someone is watching us, but I can't detect their presence at all… we need to be careful!"
------------------------
In a skyscraper overlooking London City, two Telkiens sat, enjoying the chaotic scenery below…
They were, of course, Dena and her grandfather, Nat…
As the personification of power, just by breathing, both Telkiens caused the upper floors of the building to constantly tremble…
Unable to tolerate any more games, Dena gripped the titanium teacup in her hand, and it shattered like useless glass…
"Tsk… Human things are always so fragile…" Dena cursed, speaking louder than she usually would, ensuring that she annoyed Nat…
"Sigh…" Nat rolled his eyes, already aware of what Dena wanted "You are not ready yet…"
"Look at them…" Dena whispered, and then her voice raised "LOOK AT THEM!" she roared, shattering all the windows on the floor with her voice alone…
Even Dena wasn't sure why she despised the very sight of Lara and Zil, but something about them just made the power inside her body surge…
It was like the first time you saw someone and you could already tell that you didn't like them…
Nat frowned and chided "We are POWER, not anger… if you can't calm your mind, then you will never become as powerful as you're meant to be…"
Not giving any fucks about Nat's advice, Dena rose from her seat, kicking the titanium chair out of the building and across London…
"Where are you going?" Nat questioned, rising from his seat to stop Dena, but the moment his eyes met hers, Nat staggered back a couple of steps…
"You are my grandfather… but…" Dena took a deep breath as purple energy pulsed around her body "If you try to stop me, I will kill you…"
----TWR---
With a light jump, Dena disappeared from the building, soaring across the skies of London City…
A couple of seconds after Dena left, Nat coughed two mouthfuls of purple blood into his hands and slumped to his knees...
"She really is the greatest of us all…" He admitted, smiling bitterly at that fact…
It wasn't easy to acknowledge that his granddaughter had surpassed him in raw Power, and that was considering the fact that Telkiens got stronger as time passed…
Telkiens were the personification of power, and to utilize that power, they had to be free of all emotions…
After all, Power is just above everything… beyond everything… a state that just is, without the need to be anything more…
Power was not a Cosmic Force of the Multiverse, but it wouldn't lose to a Cosmic Force…
Still, Dena was different… not only was she a Princess of the Telkien Tribe, but she was also the only Telkien in existence that could draw power from her emotions…
"I hope she can kill Zeel Crawford before her memories return…" Nat murmured, rising to his feet and staring into the distance, observing the one-sided battle that would soon occur…
He even felt a little pity for Dena's enemies, but it was best to let the Youths handle their own matters…

Starchild
“It’s life’s illusions I recall. I really don’t know life at all.” from the song, Both Sides Now, by Joni Mitchell Starchild is an adventure novel set within an understanding of reality that is rooted in Eastern spiritual traditions. It takes as its starting point experiments in remote viewing that were genuinely undertaken by the American military in the nineteen-nineties under the name of the Stargate Project. It then imagines how a more advanced attempt to weaponise the capabilities of consciousness might have been developed in the present day.The story then explores how Ultimate Reality might respond to such a threat.Deep, elemental forces thus bring together Samantha Martin and Sahadeva Varma, old colleagues from the Stargate Project, to avert the apocalyptic consequences of this military attempt to weaponise consciousness. This fast-paced story spans genres including romance, action, adventure, science fiction and more. Although this story is based on concepts drawn from established spiritual traditions, these have sometimes been extrapolated to the point of very extreme speculation for the needs of an adventure story.Much of the underlying philosophy, however, as explained in the dharma talks given by Samantha Martin, is paraphrased from the guidance of respected spiritual teachers. Scheduling: Starchild is a previously unpublished novel of one hundred thousand words which was serialised in weekly instalments over twenty-five weeks from 15th November 2021 to the 29th April 2022. Each instalment contains five chapters – an average of approximately four thousand words in each instalment.
