《The Crawford's Multiverse of Madness》Chapter 364 - The Zeel Empire
Advertisement
Zeel drifted along the Multiversal Currents with Aurolana in his arms…
One would think that different energies from all over the Universe would rage against each other, but it was quite the opposite…
Drifting in the Multiversal Currents was a calming experience that usually led to a lot of time for self-reflection…
It was like the sweet kiss from someone you loved… only their lips were poisoned and now you get to die as peacefully as anyone could hope to…
The Multiversal Currents, as calm as it may pretend to be, Zeel knew that such was not the case…
He once watched a Telkien, with a body stronger than a planet, punch his way into the Multiversal Currents, only to be reduced to ash in a mere instant…
Needless to say, but cute and calm things were usually capable of destroying Dimensions… case and point – Lorien…
Anyone who knew anything about the Multiverse knew to fear the Multiversal Currents, but with the correct technology, lasting a couple of seconds was not a problem…
Beyond ten seconds of drifting in the Multiversal currents was when weird shit began to happen, so Zeel was hoping to get out before that time…
The barrier projected from his Mbeamer shielded Zeel and Aurolana from an untimely demise, but even then, Zeel could feel the conflicting energies of the Multiverse beating against the barrier…
Each collision would probably send a Universe to Oblivion, and that was just how things worked when you were on the outside witnessing it all…
It was the difference between watching a planetary explosion on television, instead of experiencing a planetary explosion yourself…
One looked cool, while the other was terrifying…
"Hurry!" Zeel whispered, codes flickering across his pupils in search of a Universe that he knew was safe…
However, each Universe Zeel caught a glimpse of would be a cold void, or incredibly toxic…
It was much harder to distinguish Universes when you had trillions of them flashing before your very eyes…
Instead of Multi-colored lines on his retina, Zeel was forced to inspect each Universe and process the information within a picosecond before repeating the process again and again…
"Uggghhhh…" Aurolana groaned as she awakened, and Zeel could feel her wings flex in his grip…
This was exactly the reason why Zeel gripped Aurolana's wings in the first place… an Apollonian flapping her wings around in the Multiversal Currents would be catastrophic…
Zeel took a second from inspecting new Universes to scan Aurolana's body, and he discovered that her memories were embedded in the Cyber-Lines on her wings, but her soul was fractured in several places…
It would heal over time but it would cause endless trouble for the soulmates…
Even if Aurolana had forgotten her own identity, as Zeel's soulmate, she would feel him in everything she did…

Basically, she would know Zeel better than she knew herself…and that would be a major identity crisis…
It was already hard for soulmates to distinguish their individual minds; however, with one of them losing their sense of identity, it would be a long journey to recovery…
Still, an even more pressing matter was the battle happening internally…
The Death Divinity was rapidly suppressing Zeel's Dimensional Shift Divinity, and Speed Divinity…
In a moment of desperation, Zeel unleashed his Draconic Energy to beat the Death Energy into submission, but Death was one of the fundamental forces of nature and not so easily subdued...
"Zeel… it hurts…" Aurolana grumbled, feeling Zeel's pain as if it was her own…
The battle raging inside Zeel also raged inside Aurolana, and the power bubbling inside Aurolana also bubbles inside Zeel…
[Nanite Stage 4 Upload to Information Dimension: Zeel Crawford – 90%...]
Feeling the stress of the Multiversal Currents bearing down on her body, Aurolana reacted instinctively and activated her Draconic Energy…
She directed the Draconic Energy to the stem of her wings, breaking free of Zeel's grip as her wings grew a couple extra feet…
Aurolana spread her wings wide in a panic, altering Zeel's path within the Multiversal Currents, sending them both on a spiraling journey through countless Universes…

GABRIELLA
Gabriella floated in the void of space, drifting amidst the rubble of an asteroid field as hypovolemic shock caused her heart to beat slower and slower…
Even with the crushing pressures of space bearing down on her fragile constitution, Gabriella could barely manage to hold on by using small warps…
Honestly, it was a miracle she had survived at all…
As much as she bragged about being a team player, and the most loving person in Zeel's non-existent harem, the moment Catherine showed up, Gabriella knew it was every woman for herself…
Gabriella opened a warp that pierced through Dimensions, Mythical Planes, Pantheons, Universes, Planets, and an Abyssal Domain just to get away from Catherine…
Still, she only got away because Catherine, despite saying she no longer bent to Zeel's whims, chose to chase after Aurora instead of herself or Aurolana…
Gabriella had to admit that Catherine was a loyal sister…
"Fucking Monster!" Gabriella cursed, stuffing her innards back into her body like it was confetti leaking from a piñata…
Gritting her teeth, Gabriella opened a small warp to a Red Zone Dimension causing concentrated laser light to cauterize her wound and preserve her life for a couple more minutes…
Homo-Willorous, while one of the weakest races from Universe Zero, had the unique ability to Will themselves to victory…
As long as there was a clear goal in mind, a Homo-Willorous could break limits after limits just to achieve it…
But just because she had the Will to survive, doesn't mean she would…

---cough---
---cough---
Gabriella coughed two mouthfuls of blood that reminded her just how critical her situation is – she was definitely going to die…
There was no debating it… Catherine's attack nearly split her in half, and her body was way too compromised from battling Aurora…
Out of the Universal frying pan, and into the Cosmic Fire was Gabriella's basic situation…
Using the last reserves of her energy, Gabriella opened a warp to the Earth of this Universe…
Of course, she had chosen this specific Universe for a particular purpose…
It was one of those Universes where Zeel planet his seeds, and as much as she hated to dig it up, Gabriella knew that she was much more useful alive than dead…
---BANG---
Gabriella was sucked into the warp, exiting in a random hospital room on Earth…
The Doctors performing surgery were frightened into silence when a beautiful black-haired teenager appeared from thin air, tossing their patient off the operation table…
Gabriella groaned as a surgical instrument dug into her shoulder, but she pulled it out like it was nothing…
After all, while she didn't have an over-exaggerated healing factor like Zeel, she did heal five times faster than the average human…
Gabriella shakily stood to her feet and the surgeons in the room gasped because as beautiful as she was, anyone could tell that Gabriella was knocking on Death's door…
"Excuse me?" A Male Doctor attempted to place his hands on Gabriella's shoulder, offering help due to the oath he took as a Doctor…
Before anyone could react, Gabriella spun around, a surgical instrument in hand as she struck two precise blows to the Doctor's neck, killing him instantly…
There was a delayed reaction in the room, before all the Doctors dashed to the door, but found it locked since Gabriella was not yet done with them…
"You're a murderer!" A Woman yelled, kneeling on the ground and crying next to her husband's lifeless body…
"You should be thanking me…" She grunted, taking a seat on the Operation Table "That guy was a serial killer…"
"He was a Surgeon!" The Woman screamed, clutching the man's neck…
"He killed like nine people on this table!" Gabriella justified, finally understanding why Zeel said Humans were pretty stupid…
They couldn't even tell when a Serial Killer was in their midst…
The Woman looked stunned "He is a Surgeon… that's his Mortality Rate… which is one of the lowest in the country!"
Gabriella scoffed, finding it absurd that they count the number of people Serial Killers offed "You people are crazy! Mortality Rating? Primitive Humans are a mystery to me…"
The Doctors were stunned by Gabriella's stupidity… there was no way you could save everyone right? How could she not understand Morality Rating?
"Now… onto bigger things…" Gabriella commanded and then asked, "Point me in the location of The Mysterious Island…"
-----------------------
A couple of minutes later, after slaughtering all the 'Serial Killers' in the Hospital, Gabriella opened a warp that took her just outside the barrier that shrouded Mysterious Island…
Usually, she would be able to bypass any barrier, but in her weakened state, it was best to submit to Zeel's rules…
Zeel had a plan for everything, so on the off chance that he suspected that she would show up here, there was bound to be measure put in place…
"Et Supermos Absit Hac Hodie…" Gabriella whispered, and the barrier flickered just long enough for her to warp inside…
Of course, if Zeel didn't program an exception into the code, even if she knew the family motto, it would have been impossible for anyone to enter…
The moment she warped to the tall structure at the center of the island, Gabriella could see people running around in panic screaming "The God is Dead… Goddess Elizabeth is dead…"
"Really?" Gabriella felt a bit sad, she actually liked Elizabeth a bit after all…
Elizabeth kind of reminded Gabriella of herself back on the Nameless Planet, so desperate for Zeel's attention that she would do anything…
"Oh, well…" Gabriella beamed the next moment "Good Riddance… Less competition anyway…"
Suddenly, Gabriella laid eyes on her prize, coming to a stop in front of the version of herself in this Universe – Kailani…
However, just as she was about to perform the transfer of consciousness to rid herself of her broken body, Kinzi flashed between Gabriella and Kailani…
"You're going to be troublesome…" Gabriella murmured, glancing at Kinzi from head to toe as she recalled Linda's reports "Get out of the way… you are still important to Zeel and I don't want to harm you…"
"You know of The Main God?" Kinzi questioned, doubtful of Gabriella's identity…
"My husband…" Gabriella replied curtly "And that makes Elizabeth my sister… before she kicked the bucket anyway… Zeel bless her soul…"
"Wh-what are you?" Kailani questioned, laying eyes on her look-alike for the first time…
Gabriella pressed towards Kailani and Kinzi simply stepped aside, much to Gabriella's surprise, she was expecting some resistance…
"You won't stop me?" Gabriella questioned intrigued…
"I have been instructed not to…" Kinzi replied, walking away like what happened next was none of her business…
Gabriella shrugged, grabbed Kailani by the head, and sent a ripple of energy into her body that destroyed Kailani's consciousness…
Then Gabriella's body broke into motes of light that were absorbed into Kailani's body…
Kailani's body morphed, becoming infinitely more beautiful and refined until there was no Kailani left, only Gabriella…
"Now…" Gabriella turned to Kinzi, and the others who had gathered behind her "Let's talk about the future plans for The Zeel Empire…"

Small Pond
In a world without systems, levels, or any standard power levels, Faust is a naturally skeptical person who always asks questions first and accepts after he gets confirmation. A lot of it. With some information unknown to the reader, represented as [?], Faust is left to discover who kidnapped him, where he is, if magic exists, and what to do while the reader silently observes him. And as for the YOU dear reader, I'll need your help choosing some things... Small Pond isn't meant to be a high-paced action light novel, but instead, there's a greater focus on world and character building in order to create a greater narrative. Expect the unexpected in this story ;) The release schedule will be paused, for now, I'm going to try and spend some time rethinking the intro and work on school.
