《The Crawford's Multiverse of Madness》Chapter 361 - The Outer Shell Crumbles

Millicent frowned at the fact that Zeel knew her name in an instant…
Time stopped the moment she arrived, and that was the usual occurrence when a body could not contain the divinity it was given…
Millicent could see everything with pinpoint detail, and the first thing she noticed were the codes that flickered across Zeel's pupils…
She had witnessed such codes before, and even thousands of years later, she still had nightmares about those damn Homo-Superiors…
Attacking Universe Zero was not what killed her, but it directly led to her death at the hands of Seth…
Millicent considered attacking Zeel, Alice, Ella, and Alle, but she detected no danger from such an action, and that in itself would be dangerous…
That was the thing with Homo-Superiors…
They ran calculations all day long, planning for any and everything so when they were truly vulnerable, it was hard to tell if they had calculated such an event or was bluffing…
Of course, Zeel was bluffing the hell out of the situation ever since Lorien decided her job was finished and went to take a nap inside his soul…
Still, if anyone could see the meaninglessly confident look on Zeel's face, they would think twice about attacking as well…
Actually, Zeel was utilizing the strategy he had taught Lara coined 'Techniques for Weaklings…'
In Lara's case, it was to smile at anyone pointing a gun at you, and you would be less likely to get shot…
In Zeel's case, it was to look so confident that people would think you can do shit, even when you can't do shit…
Millicent turned her attention away from Zeel, and glanced at the remaining Egyptian Gods…
They seemed scared beyond belief at her appearance, and Millicent was confused about why…
As far as anyone was concerned, she gave off the appearance of a cute little child that could not even break an egg…
How could Millicent have known that cuteness had become toxic in the Egyptian Gods' eyes…
Still, if there was something Millicent disliked a little more than Homo-Superiors, it was Egyptian Gods…
---TRRRRR---
---TRRRRR---
---TRRRRR---
Millicent disappeared for a couple of seconds as streaks if golden lightning flashed about the battlefield, killing each remaining Egyptian God in a unique way…
Some split in half…
Some decapitated…
Some with their dicks in their mouths…
And others reduced to blood mist…
After she was finished, Millicent came to a stop in front of Zeel, Alice, Ella, and Alle with bloodied hands and a smiling face…
Alice would have been disgusted by the sight, but after Alle's and Ella's earlier show of strength, cute girls doing such things had been ingrained into her mind…
Alice carefully walked over to Aurolana, and picked her in a bridal carry to discourage Millicent from doing anything sneaky…
"Homo-Superior…" Millicent grunted reluctantly…
"Millicent?" Zeel questioned, then shook his head "Hermes?"
Millicent shook her head at both answers "Hermice…" she corrected, pronouncing the name in a way that sounded increasingly feminine…
"What's going on?" Alice questioned with a frown, not liking that Millicent's attitude conflicted with her age…
"Remember what happened when Elizabeth claimed the Divinity of Poseidon?"
"Yeah…"
How could Alice not remember? It was a hassle to win Elizabeth's consciousness back from the small will Poseidon had left behind in his divinity…
"Same here…" Zeel gestured, pointing at Millicent and shrugging his shoulders "Only… Hermes memories won the battle…"
Alice's muscles tensed with Aurolana in her arms "Then what happened to David, Millie, and Griffin?"
"To shatter the will of this little human, I had to break all her tethers…" Millicent replied as if she was discussing someone else…
"That means she killed them…" Ella explained, seeing that Alice was still confused…
"She killed them dead…" Alle added, making sure Alice actually got it "Like a Soul-Dead… the same kind Elizabeth got…"
Zeel sighed at Ella and Alle proving their uselessness once more…
'Could they not read the atmosphere?' he thought annoyingly…
Unfortunately how Zeel could not remember that not long ago, he was also unable to read the atmosphere and would always say some things out of context…
"The name is Hermice… Goddess of Speed and Travels…" Millicent introduced, bowing her head a bit; though, her eyes always remained on Zeel's body…
It didn't take a genius to guess that Millicent was planning something, especially from the way she had a proud, but a vicious smile on her face…
Everyone knew she was making that face except Millicent, she felt as if she was hiding her grin behind many layers of façade…
'Cute…' Ella, Alle, and Lorien thought simultaneously…
"Is our bargain done?" Millicent inquired, rising from her kneeling position; though, it made little difference since she was so small anyway…
With Alice's suspicious eyes trained on Zeel's body as if asking 'what bargain'…
Zeel avoided Alice's gaze like a pro and just nodded "Completed…"
Millicent spun around, and just as she was about to flicker away like a bolt of lightning, a silver paste was expelled from the skin near her wrist…
Before she could react, the silver paste formed a pseudo-beamer that pulsed with light…
To Millicent, as a God who treasured freedom above all else, this was like tying a chain around her neck and walking her like a dog…
The world in Millicent's perception slowed as she flickered with golden lightning, darting towards Zeel with an attack that was meant to kill him…
Sadly, she could not make it that far…
A Cosmic Wormhole opened directly behind her, stopping her dead in her tracks… even a God of speed could not fight against the pull of a Cosmic Wormhole…
"How?" Millicent grunted, wondering how Zeel got a pseudo-beamer around her wrist without her knowing…
Advertisement
"You got it from your daddy…" Zeel explained "It has been in your body since you were born… David's body was supposed to be the vessel for Hermes, but you consumed him… and now you think that you're a God, but you're just a little girl with too much power…"
Millicent yelled with all her might before she was sucked into the Cosmic Wormhole, the coordinate for which was located on Alice's Mbeamer…
"What the hell just happened?" Alice yelled…
"That wasn't supposed to happen…" Zeel frowned in frustration "Hermes from the Jumper Universe is dead but when I extracted the pieces of his divinity from each jumper, people like David were too entwined with the divinity to extract all of it…
So I split it between him and Millie… when David got strong enough, it would awaken the will of Hermes sleeping inside his abilities, and since David has a strong Will, he would be able to beat Hermes…
Hermes' Dimension always came with an expiration date so David would be forced to leave with Millie and Griffin, since only they would be able to survive the trip… that would bring them across the Multiverse to me…
David's ability would have evolved into something more powerful, solving the energy problem in our Mbeamers… he would have been able to jump across Universes at yearly intervals…"
"But Millicent was born and your plan was fucked?" Alice stated matter-of-factly since the nanites in Millicent's body had copied her memories into their minds before she was sent away.
"Basically…" Zeel shrugged, kicking the black sand out of frustration "Now we have to find a little girl who thinks she is a God and has the power to teleport entire planets… then we have to train her for dozens of years to control it before we can safely convert her mind and soul into the perfect version of my Mbeamer…"
"WHAT!!!" Alice yelled, her eyes becoming a hallow abyss as she dropped Aurolana on the ground…
"I mean before we adopt her as a daughter into our growing family…" Zeel quickly amended his plan, knowing that it was useless to lie when Alice's finger held the Ring of Candour…
"WHAT!!!"
This time it was Ella's and Alle's turn to shout in disbelief…
"Girls, liste-"
Alice was the first to frown, the blue flames sprouted from her body with a vengeance as she drew upon the hatred in her heart…
Ella and Alle reverted to Ring Swords, launching themselves into Alice's hands where they glowed with red flames and blue flames respectively…
Zeel could feel the Death Divinity and Speed Divinity fighting for dominance inside his body as they merged, split apart, and merged again…
The best outcome would be both divinities merging to make something new, but at this point, it seemed that the Death Divinity would come out on top…
However, Zeel had no time to wait for that to happen since the fight was not yet finished…
Using the limited nanites in his body, Zeel created two brass knuckles along the contours of his fingers, preparing to fight with his body since all of his abilities were off-limits...
Even standing was strenuous for Zeel given the conflicting energies destroying his body from the inside – out…
"I thought Lorien killed him…" Alice whispered…
"This is the man behind the mask…" Zeel whispered back…
The blackened sands of what was formerly the Egyptian Pantheon were brushed aside as a man rose from the ground…
He resembled Seth a bit, but without all the grotesque body parts of different animals… this man seemed normal for all intents and purposes…
If there was anything out of place, it was the way his bald head seemed to shine even when there was no light in the skies to reflect…
"Nimrod – the Homo-Superior born from the first line of The Eredyn House…" Zeel shouted, analyzing Nimrod's stance until he was sure that Nimrod had no ability remaining…
"I would hardly call myself a Homo-Superior now…" Nimrod replied, similarly noting that with the outer shell of Seth gone, he only had his physical prowess remaining…
"I always asked myself – how could a Homo-Superior as brilliant as Nimrod lose to a backwater Mare God Hybrid…" Zeel pondered a bit and then directed a sharp glare at Nimrod "Unless he was not Homo-Superior to begin with… at least not fully… a hybrid?"
"High Elf – Homo – Superior Hybrid to be exact…" Nimrod didn't hide anything "I wanted to return home but I couldn't find the exact coordinates so I waited for you to bring it to me…"
"You want my Mbeamer?" Zeel questioned, doubtful that a Homo-Superior could not invent something similar without all the hassle…
While his Mbeamer was a work of art, it was only the energy conversion algorithm that made his Mbeamer truly unique…
A Homo-Superior could build something similar without any problems…
"No…" Nimrod frowned before a look of realization dawned on his face "I want Project Pinnacle… and since you don't know what it is, then you can't use it against me… which means I can take it from you…"
"Over my dead body…" Alice intervened, ready to exact vengeance for Elizabeth's death… or at least, the version of Elizabeth's death in her mind…
Alice dashed forward, tossing both Sword Rings to decapitate Nimrod…
Zeel followed suit, ready for the fist brawl that would determine their victory…
Nobody had energy remaining…
Nobody had abilities to use or trump cards to spring…
There were no complex ideas of strategies to utilize…
Everything would come down to a brutal battle of the fists…
