《The Crawford's Multiverse of Madness》Chapter 350 - The Egyptian Pantheon

Ella and Alle were finally unable to restrain the tears that lingered at the corner of their eyes.
Both girls burst into tears where they stood.
Ella cried tears like a waterfall, exaggerating as much as she could to get Lorien's attention.
Alle tried to restrain her crying to a few drops here and there since she felt a bit ashamed to cry in front of Zeel.
How could she be their heir to The Crawford House if she was a mama's girl?
Lorien completely ignored her daughters to guard Zeel against their tearful cuteness, but thankfully, Alice and Elizabeth were much more qualified to be mothers than Lorien.
Alice and Elizabeth each scooped a twin in their arms, kissing the girls on their cheeks while whispering comforting words of encouragement into their ears.
They had much practice with Zil so motherhood came with practiced ease to Alice and Elizabeth.
"Path…etic…" Lorien murmured, looking at her failure of a children that required mortal cuddling to ease their emotional distress.
Zeel was poised to agree with Lorien's assessment of their children but he didn't dare to agree even mentally with Alice keenly listening to his thoughts at the moment.
Lorien suddenly turned to Zeel while everyone was paying attention to Ella and Alle.
"Why?" she asked curiously, skipping around in circles to burn off some of her infinite energy.
"Do you care?" Zeel replied suspiciously, still unsure if Lorien was as naïve as she appeared to be.
He knew she was unfamiliar with communication as a solitary Cosmic Force, but he couldn't be sure she wasn't just faking it.
Perhaps, her power had weakened so much that even Lorien didn't know the answer to those questions.
Lorien shrugged "NO… tried… warn… unfortunate [Translation: I tried to warn John of what would happen but he still asked for Sarah unfortunately…],"
Zeel nodded, putting an end to the conversation of Planet Lorien's destruction, along with the death of John and everyone else.
He wouldn't lose a wink of sleep over it unless Alice somehow found out, which she never would since he controlled the coordinate of the Mjumps.
As for Elizabeth, Zeel's eyes narrowed a bit but his expression quickly shifted to neutral before Alice could notice.
Elizabeth was becoming a thorn in his side and Alice had grown an abnormal attachment to the girl so he had to deal with her sooner rather than later.
The problem laid in the fact that dealing with Elizabeth would be nearly impossible while she was attached at the hip to Alice.
Still, he had to admit that he had a little fondness for Elizabeth and if he could, he would prefer not to kill her at all.

However, with Planet Lorien gone, along with all of her friends, it was only a matter of time till Elizabeth found out and she would turn against him, proving to be an enemy he could not afford.
Zeel felt a bit of pain in his heart at the thought of Elizabeth becoming his enemy, but his mind was already made up since he first met her…
"SSSSSCCCCRRRRREEEEEAAAAAACCCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHHHH…"
There was a loud screech that echoed across the Death Dimension as Seth's final piece of consciousness was obliterated by Lorien's Flames of Purity.
The entire Death Dimension was burned by Lorien's flames, leaving only sparse rubble and wandering souls in the empty void of Dimensionless space.
With that task complete, everyone was happy that the intense battle had come to an official end.
Battling Seth was the most challenging experience of their lives, and they only lasted as long as they did because Seth, like most Gods, was starved for attention and entertainment.
Zeel glanced at the percentage in his mind and noted that it was now at '10%', with Alice and Elizabeth being slightly ahead at '15%' and '20%' respectively.
With the Time-Shadow in mind, Zeel knew it was inevitable that he and Elizabeth would die, but nothing said they had to stay dead.
"Good Jo-"
Mid-sentence, Zeel stopped speaking and glanced at the void above with Lorien.
What Zeel and Lorien were sensing wasn't that strong, maybe a little weaker than Seth… the problem was the amount.
Alle and Ella reverted to their Ring Swords appearance and attached themselves to Elizabeth's back once more.
Himiko was quick to drag Ahmanet next to Alice since she could sense that separating them from the battle any longer would lead to their demise.
Her best option was to be as near to Zeel as possible, given the Beings that were about to appear.
Alice and Elizabeth were late to notice the change, but when they did, their faces became solemn and their muscles tensed for battle once more.
Neither of the girls were happy with their last performance against Seth, so this time they were hoping to prove more useful to Zeel.
After all, neither of them were flower vases that required Zeel's protection 24/7…
Lorien frowned "A lot… [Translation: I can't beat them all.]"
Zeel frowned since Lorien was his endgame "Just take as many as you can when I give the signal…"
Lorien shrugged her shoulders, not caring much since nobody could stop her from escaping with Zeel in the worst-case scenario.
As for everyone else, well… she didn't really care…
One gold light flashed in the void, brightening the dimensionless space for an instant before touching down a couple of miles away from Lorien and Zeel.

Out of the golden light came a humanoid male with a crystal bird beak for a nose – Ra, The Egyptian God of Order and Kings…
Then a second golden light broke through the void, landing next to Ra…
Then a third…
Fourth…
Fifth…
Sixth…
…
Two Hundred…
Three Hundred…
Four Hundred…
Five Hundred…
The golden lights flashed endlessly and without pause, each descent of a new God caused everyone, except Lorien's and Zeel's, faces to grow paler and paler.
By the time the golden lights stopped flashing, the entire Egyptian Pantheon stood a couple of miles away from Zeel and the others.
Lorien stood straight and proud, her natural aura matching and suppressing the entirety of the Egyptian Pantheon's.
Lorien indeed had a reason to be proud because it was her presence in this Dimensionless space that warranted an entire Pantheon's appearance.
Zeel also stood proud, simply because being a Homo-Superior meant proudness was a genetic flaw.
Even facing death, Zeel would remain as proud and confident as ever…
Alice, Elizabeth, Himiko, and Ahmanet grew pale and exerted no small amount of effort to keep their legs from shaking.
While Alice and Elizabeth were not scared, they just didn't have the necessary strength or mental stability to partake in a battle of this caliber.
Just a couple of years ago, Alice and Elizabeth thought fighting invading Aliens were as wild as their life could possibly get.
However, seeing the hundreds of mythical Gods standing before them caused their minds to evolve to the next stage – a stage where human thoughts were no longer an option.
This was the life they now lived, and they had to change their perspectives of the world once more…
Myths, Legends, Gods, Monsters, Legions, Galactic Wars, Universal Domination, Technological Civilizations, Angels, Heaven, Hell, Alternate Timelines, Alternate Dimensions…
Alice and Elizabeth forced their minds to accept it all, broadening their limited view of the world to understand more of Zeel's covert actions…
The golden lights had stopped arriving; Zeel, Alice, Elizabeth, Lorien, Himiko, and Ahmanet could hear the vague shouts of arguments between the members of the Egyptian Pantheon.
Gods perceived time very differently from mortals; hence, why Alice and Elizabeth could separate from Zeel for nearly fifteen years with the sensation of only a couple of months passing by.
Considering Alice and Elizabeth were weaker Gods, then the Egyptian Pantheon could likely have been separated for thousands of until now…
Especially in an era where mankind had all but forgotten their marks on history, leaving them to dwindle away in their respective Dimensions and Realms.
Alice frowned "They seem chaotic…" she whispered, hoping Zeel could offer some insight into what was happening.
Zeel sighed and thought deeply about a way to explain…
"All of these guys are Gods responsible for something… but not many people believe in Egyptians anymore so you can say their 'businesses' are getting less and less customers…
Nobody wants to go to the Egyptian Afterlife anymore, everyone wants to go to Heaven now… it's a popular place in this era… but guys like Ptah – The Egyptian God of Architecture, is thriving because people love to see his Pyramids…
Everyone else is starving but his 'business' is still afloat… maybe not as good as it used to be but still very profitable nonetheless… So The Pantheon is dysfunctional because it's like a coalition of companies but some companies are benefitting more than others…
Yet, everyone has to pay tribute… even the really poor companies…
Egyptian Gods can't cross the Multiversal currents unless under special circumstances because they have a counterpart in nearly every universe…
Mjumping would just take them to another Universe where they have to share their divinity with whichever version of themselves exists there… and unsurprisingly, Gods don't like to share benefits even with themselves…
So as they are slowly forgotten in this Universe, they will fade away and die unless… the era of technology is overturned by a human who ushers in the era of magic and Gods once more…
These Gods may not be as far-gone as Seth was… but they will get there eventually…"
"That's too complicated…" Elizabeth grumbled, but her fearful eyes told a different story.
'If this is a weakened Pantheon, I would hate to see what a normal one looks like…' she thought.
"That's just the basics…" Zeel murmured, gesturing for everyone to hush as a representative for the Egyptian Pantheon stepped forward.
Still, Zeel kept glancing at the percentages in his mind…
'Nanite Stage 4 Upload to Information Dimension: Alice – 15%, Elizabeth – 20% and Zeel – 10%.'

A Primeval Future
Follow the story of a modern caveman as he learns to survive, thrive, and shape his nascent civilization in a world yet untouched by man. Expect a focus on the nitty-gritty of primitive living, especially early on. I plan for this to eventually progressing to the settlement management and politics stage as people gravitate towards the one guy who looks like he knows what he's doing, but this will likely take some time. Despite the occasional system elements, skilling and levels will not be a part of this story. No shortcuts. There will be violence and there will be sexuality but there will be no sexual violence. I hate reading that crap and I hate writing it even more. This is my first serious foray into writing. I plan to put out at least 1 chapter a week, more when I can. Constructive criticism is very much welcomed as are ideas and suggestions! Cover image credit: "Mesolithic camp site" by Wessex Archaeology is licensed with CC BY-NC 2.0. Lost Things
"In this disordered continent, where everyone seeks to be the heroes of their own tales, there are still some rooms for smaller stories to breathe." "Past, present, and future—keep your eyes open, and see where they lead you to." This story follows three housemates’ lives: Carson Calding, Virgil Barion, and John Salore—onto their adventures of finding Carson’s past, Virgil’s present, and John’s future. Despite their clashing backgrounds and circumstances that forced them together, they’re definitely going to find the things they had lost, for sure. Each entire chapter will be updated biweekly. There'll be three smaller parts per each chapter. Note that this story was written to be an interactive one, with polls at the end of each parts deciding on what happens next. Though, the polls for this story won't be available on Royal Road updates. (I also upload this in Arcane Odyssey forum, and it's currently the only place where I open the polls and use the poll results from.)
