《The Crawford's Multiverse of Madness》Chapter 347 - Are You Sure?

With all of Lorien's shackles removed, The New Elders expected her to vanish immediately but she didn't…
Instead, Lorien stared into the void of space, murmuring different things about how she was the cutest in the multiverse.
Of course, she was peering into an alternate Universe but none of The New Elders knew that…
Finally, Lorien retrieved her gaze from The Death Dimension and decided it was time to leave this planet for good.
However, before she could create a portal through several universes to get to The Pretty Boy (Zeel), John walked towards her and slammed his head on the group many times while pleading.
"Please… please save my wife…" John pleaded with intense sorrow "I will give anything… do anything for just a chance of her survival… even a second with her is more than I deserve but I implore you to heed my request…"
Lorien glanced down at John and then back at Sarah, who was bathing in her white flames of purity and frowned.
Human emotions were foreign to Lorien, but she was also not beyond a little pettiness.
"Hesitate… too late… meanie…" Lorien pointed at John like a child accusing an adult of withholding Halloween treats, reprimanding him for reasons nobody could understand.
But John didn't let up, he begged and begged… After all, who wouldn't beg for the life of their lover in front of a Supreme Cosmic Force.
Anyone, given the opportunity, would beg God for something selfish…
Lorien had been begged trillions of times over her millions of years lifespan, but oftentimes, people didn't know what they were asking for, and John was one such person in her eyes.
Civilizations fall, lovers die, planets destroyed, Universes melt… just another Tuesday for Lorien.
Marina stepped forward, placing a hand on John's shoulder "Maybe you should just let it go and count our bles-"
"Shut the fuck up!" John barked, tossing Marina away.
Luckily, she was caught by Vishnu who did nothing to retaliate against John's rough treatment of his woman.
It wasn't that Vishnu was afraid or considerate of John's mental state… he didn't retaliate because Marina's intentions could be felt by all The New Elders.
Marina, much like everyone else, just wanted to preserve her and Vishnu's lives, even if that came at the cost of leaving Sarah dead.
After all, should Lorien grow annoyed by John's pleading, Lorien could simply wave her hands and destroy everything.

Noticing that John would not let it go, Lorien twirled her fingers as a portal begun to materialize in the air… a portal that would take her just outside the bounds of Seth's Death Dimension.
With the creation of the portal, The Planet lost that much more vibrancy but The New Elders didn't mind since at worse, The Planet would sink to possessing only above-average vegetation and animals.
That was still a grade above Earth.
Feeling that Sarah's mind was disappearing bit by bit once more, John pulled the only card he had left in his arsenal "I ask for Sarah's life in the name of my ancestors!"
Lorien paused upon hearing John's declaration because she indeed had a soft spot for the Felians.
She may have saved them from extinction when they first came to this Universe but The Felians were the ones who hid her from powerful enemies, dampened her power to keep her hidden, and even fought a war to keep her hidden…
And they lost that war, leaving behind weakened descendants with suppressed bloodlines, all to keep her hidden from truly terrifying enemies she could not remember.
Though John may have used his Ancestors to gain her interest, Lorien was not familiar enough with the nuances of Human Culture to care much about the semantics of the situation.
To Lorien, John asking for something in the name of his ancestors was the same as his ancestors also begging her to grant his request of saving Sarah.
Still, as airheaded as she may be, Lorien was hesitant to grant John's request based on instinct alone.
"Know… what… ask?" Lorien inquired curiously.
"I know of what I ask…" John nodded fervently, the other New Elders also kneeling to back him up.
Marina was the only person left standing, but her voice had little to no sway at the moment.
"Sure… sure?" Lorien inquired some more while twirling her head to think of words to explain some things "Zeel… bad… bad…" she paused and tried to think of a word that could describe Zeel "thing…"
"Zeel… bad… bad… thing…"
"You mean person?" Marina inquired subconsciously.
Lorien shook her head childishly, a finger on her chin as if she, herself, didn't know what she meant "…thing… thing…"
John didn't let Lorien's warning impede him "I don't ask to bring Zeel Crawford to justice or anything to do with him… All I ask is for Sarah's mind to heal…"

Lorien suddenly had a sagely expression on her face as she finally found the word to describe John and the others from Zeel's memories.
Lorien pointed at them and nodded in understanding "Masochist?"
As if finally figuring out everything she required, Lorien waved her hand and Sarah's mind was fully stabilized.
Sarah coughed and knelt down in a daze…
Lorien flashed through the portal, not caring about anything else.
She had done her piece and now it was time to find entertainment elsewhere.
John sobbed a little as he witnessed Sarah's eyes recovering their light, and her breathing returning to regular alongside her loudly beating heart.
Marina, Sam, Lexa, and the others also wore happy smiles, glad that everything could end without any tragedy.
Before any of The New Elders could rush forward to greet their revived friend, Sarah's two kids were the first to enter her arms.
"Mother!" Erin and Nero yelled as they dove into Sarah's embrace.
Sarah's reaction was quick as she embraced her children, unsure of what was occurring since her mind was supposed to disappear with Zeel's plot completed.
"Why… how?" Sarah mumbled but still used her renewed mind to embrace her children while sobbing.
Marina, watching everything with a kind smile, suddenly had access to her Precognition Legacy as it activated with her conscious will to do so…
Marina grew pale in an instant "No!" she yelled in terror.
Then the first event occurred that would send John on a ruthless, blood-filled path across the Multiverse for countless years…
In their moment of bliss at Sarah's survival, everyone had forgotten one key piece of information about Zeel's inventions.
Sarah, the real Sarah, died long ago and Zeel left a complex program in her mind to pilot her body while keeping his motives hidden.
The thing inside Sarah's mind was left to control her at a critical moment so she could give Lorien the option to leave.
Zeel never anticipated that the remnants of Sarah's mind would bond with his program creating a pseudo-mind of sorts…
Not that he would care even if he knew.
Lorien was Zeel's ultimate trump card but he knew a Cosmic Force couldn't be forced to do his bidding, so he just gave Lorien the option between himself and John.
Zeel was confident that Lorien would choose the greater entrainment, which in this case was his battle in the Death Dimension.
That was the extent of Zeel's plans and that plan had been achieved…
However, even Zeel in his almighty calculative mind could not foresee what happened next.
John begged Lorien with all his might to save Sarah, but 'Sarah' died a long time ago and Lorien could see that.
What John was asking of her was impossible unless she went against the Heavens…
Yet, as John pleaded for 'Sarah', Lorien slowly learned that John wanted to resurrect the 'program' Zeel created inside Sarah's body.
Such a task was easy for Lorien to carry out, and she did so very easily…
Still, the thing Lorien had resurrected was not the true 'Sarah' but one of Zeel's many creations.
Even if the creation had grown beyond what Zeel had originally anticipated, all of Zeel's inventions/creations had one final function upon completion of the task…
--BOOOOOOOOM—
And that function was self-destruction…
Sarah self-destructed, taking her two children along with her in an amazing display of blood and gore that has never been witnessed before…
The whole Planet froze in that instant…
Everyone in the stands were slowly awakening from being knocked out by Lorien's mere presence…
Then, John in an intense rage made a second mistake Zeel would never make…
John possessed numerous legacies… Earth, Gravity, Electricity, Precognition, and the list goes on…
John, had he calmed down and given the matter enough thought, could have used a combination of his legacies to reverse time by a couple of seconds, granting him the opportunity to save his children even if he could not save Sarah…
But John was overtaken by rage…
-------------
A new ship from Earth had entered the solar system of Lorien…
The passengers were excited to arrive on the planet that granted abilities like those from fantasy books…
However, there was a brief flash of light and when the passengers peered outside, there was no more Planet Lorien.
Actually, the three closest planets to Lorien had disappeared as well…
Their dreams were bound to forever remain fantasies…

The Shadow Paradigm - Book 1: Project Orb Weaver
Gardening, cooking, innovation, preservation, charity events... Madzistrale, Tom and Gabzryel does it all. But when they encounter the mysterious Shiakar Paradigm Society, a clash of paradigms ensues. Although both groups are aiming to make humanity stand stronger, their ideals and methods could not be further apart. Between the trio's optimistic yet naive ideals, and the SPS's tried-and-true surgical methods, determining the answer which methods can better humanity is a struggle that both parties must resolve in their own ways... Welcome to the 7th revision of my 10+ years ongoing novel trilogy. This revision took out some flawed plot concepts to re-introduce a more down-to-earth, film noir-like ambience, where a battle of wits is what will determine the outcome. It also added instead more in-depth expansion into the lives and mindsets of the characters, especially the heroes (a missing factor in older versions). Third-view limited storytelling was also introduced more prominently over my favoured third-view omnipotent, with each chapters concentrating as much as possible on a single character's point of view instead of head-hopping. So I shall begin uploading the chapters as I finish them; they're edited as much as I can, but there'll most likely be some typos and mistakes. As always, I welcome your comments and critiques, and I hope you enjoy reading that story as much as I did creating it! A parting poem to introduce the story (translated from its original French version): Credit: Les Mots, Mylene Farmer & Seal Firmly, the sky writhes When a mouth begets a death There, I will give my life to hear you To tell you the most tender words When all becomes all alone I'll break my life for a song And to lives that stoop to notice mine I know I will say goodbye But a fraction of this life I would give anything, anytime The universe has its mysteries Words are our lives You could kill a life with words Soul, how would it feel? If our lives are so fragile Words are mysteries Words of feelings Words of love, a temple If one swept the world away One could touch the universe I will tell you how the sun rose high We could with a word become one And for all those words that hurts us There are those that touches us Which illuminates, touches the infinity Even if nothingness exists For a fraction on this life We will give anything, anytime The universe has its mysteries Words are our lives We could kill a life with words Soul, how would it feel? If our lives are so fragile Words are mysteries Words of feelings Words of love, a temple
