《The Crawford's Multiverse of Madness》Chapter 323 - Madwoman Gabriella

[Ice Spikes]
Spikes of ice started shooting up from below the ground all over Purgatory. Aurolana maneuvered carefully through the numerous spikes erupting from the ground.
It was a bit heartbreaking to witness her home being trampled but Aurolana hardened her heart.
[Balance: Absence – Presence]
All the spikes shooting up from the ground dissolved and reformed into clones of Aurolana.
'Absence' was the act of getting rid of the spikes while 'Presence' dispersed Aurolana's consciousness all over Purgatory.
Aurolana's talent was nothingness but she was also exceptional using the Apollonian talent of 'Balance'.
Aurora could similarly use 'Balance' but her main talent was always skewed to Ice Manipulation.
Still, Aurora was nowhere near as talented as Aurolana with the Apollonian 'Balance' talent.
"[Balance: Approve – Refuse]" Aurora yelled, approving her Ice Spikes and refusing Aurolana's clones that filled Purgatory.
The moment the Ice Spikes started shooting up from the ground once more, Aurolana darted through the field of Ice Spikes, using the tips of the spikes as leverage for movement.
*Slash*
Aurora appeared above Aurolana, a sword made of frost in her hands, slashing down with a force that warped the frozen air.
*Ting*
Aurolana flexed her wings and spun in the air causing several collisions between Aurora's fast striking sword strikes and her impenetrable wings filled with Divine-Grace.
"[Cold Presence]" Aurora whispered, the very particles of air around her body freezing in an instant.
Aurolana felt her wings chill but managed to dart into the air and fly some distance away from the frozen air below.
Aurolana pointed one palm into the air and one palm onto the ground. She charged for an attack that would rend the Earth below.
"[Balance: Eternal Frost – Hell Flames]" Aurolana yelled, her left palm shooting frost into the air above her head.
The clouds of Purgatory were instantly frozen solid and began to fall from the skies. Aurolana's right palm shot flames towards the ice spikes on the ground.
There was a massive blast of steam as Hell Flames met the numerous Ice Spikes and soon the ground was filled with molten lava mixed with the frost of snow.
Aurolana managed to wrap her wings around her body before the steam could burn her but the next moment, Aurolana felt a massive impact that sent her spiraling towards the ground.
"[Glaciers]" Aurora yelled, a massive slab of ice appearing above Aurolana in the air and came crashing down like a meteor.
Aurora's body was burnt in some places due to the heat of the steam but her regeneration took care of the burns in seconds.

Aurolana crashed into the ground and felt the tons of ice that settled on top of her body.
Apollonians usually fought at a distance but that didn't mean that their bodies were not exceptionally strong.
Aurolana's eyes turned fully slitted, her wings sprouted a couple of blue scales and her teeth sharpened.
"RRRROOOOOOAAAAARRRRRRR!!!!!" Aurolana brought forth a guttural roar from the depths of her stomach.
Aurolana's roar caused her Draconic-Energy to run rampant across the land, shredding everything across Purgatory even her Garden of Mind Flowers.
Aurora could barely manage to wrap her wings around her body before the Draconic-Energy struck at her with hundreds of tons of force.
Aurora groaned a bit when even her nigh impenetrable wings were slightly irritated from the strange Draconic Energy.
When her Draconic-Energy was exhausted, Aurolana realized that Purgatory had become all but a wasteland at this point.
"So that was your goal…" Aurolana said with sadness "You wanted to destroy Purgatory and that way I would be forced to ascend to Heaven or stay here and die,"
Aurora giggled, unwrapped her wings from around her body, and commented "That was the plan but this place is sturdy as fuck,"
"It was made from the soul of your soulmate and parents after all," Aurolana replied, hoping to provoke a reaction that she could use to her advantage.
Aurora smiled innocently in reply giving Aurolana a sense of impending crisis.
"This Purgatory was made using Sacrificial Energy from my parent's souls but it was also created in such a way that only Zeel could have full control of it," Aurora stated happily.
Slowly, Aurolana removed Gabriella's dead body from a rift in the air and clutched within Gabriella's hands was a figurine of Zeel.
"Gabriella…" Aurolana said sighing but her eyes constricted when she saw the item clutched in Gabriella's lifeless hands.
"This Gabriella is very obsessed… she created a figurine that housed a part of Zeel's essence like a voodoo doll.
As long as this doll is in the same Universe as Zeel, I can kill him by destroying the doll. However, I can also exert some of his authority as if I was him," Aurora said.
Aurolana's eyes grew fierce and the atmosphere turned serious for the first time since the battle began.
Previously, Aurolana and Aurora had been fighting while pulling their punches since killing each other required determination they were not yet prepared for.
However, now they were sure that there was no going back to being sisters again. It was kill or be killed and both women were ready to kill at the moment.

The figurine of Zeel in Aurora's hands flashed with light as it was activated.
Instantaneously, Purgatory began to break apart, the dimension was returning to its natural state of re-joining with the larger Purgatory Dimension.
The billions of souls that were previously trapped in Zeel's artificial Purgatory were also released, running rampant through the battlefield as Aurolana and Aurora gazed at each other.
"[Balance: Life – Death]" Aurolana whispered in her Angelic-Voice.
A pulse raged across Purgatory, everywhere the pulse passed destroyed the floating souls and re-stabilized the artificial Purgatory.
Aurolana converted the death of billions of souls into energy that sustained Zeel's creation and also her life.
Aurora raised Zeel's figurine once more, attempting to send another pulse of light and dissipate the stabilized Purgatory once more but Aurolana could not allow that.
In a moment of impetuousness, Aurolana's eyes darkened and she whispered a single word "[Nothingness]"
Nothingness was Aurolana's unique gift that even caused Zeel fear when she used it near him.
The figurine of Zeel in Aurora's hands turned into black mist and disappeared.
Aurolana was only focused on getting rid of the figurine but she forgot that the figurine was linked to Zeel as long as he was in the same Universe.
Since Zeel was not in Purgatory, the destruction of the figurine did not affect him but as Zeel's soulmate, Aurolana felt a sharp ache ripple through her soul when the figurine was destroyed.
While the pain rocked her soul, Aurolana felt an even greater sense of impending doom approaching.
"[Nothingness]!" Aurolana yelled desperately, thrusting her hand forward.
Aurora barely managed to get out of the way in time but one of her wings was reduced to black mist that soon disappeared into thin air.
Still, Aurora had got the chance she wanted, her next wing piercing through Aurolana's stomach without any hesitation.
Aurolana gritted her teeth and hated the fact that she could feel Zeel screaming from the other end of their soulmate connection due to her mistake.
"Goodbye, sister!" Aurora said, knowing that she could not give Aurolana any time to think of a counter.
Just as Aurora was about to finish the battle for good, a Tempora jumped from Aurolana's bosom and attacked her in a moment of desperation.
Aurora just slapped the Tempora to death in an instant. Blood splattered but Aurolana only wore a faint smile.
"A Tempora?" Aurora asked laughingly.
Temporas were physically weak creatures but they could still be a trump card since they would reverse possibilities.
The moment the Tempora was killed, it had already tried to reverse the possibility of Aurora ever making it to Purgatory in the first place.
"A Tempora is nice but it cannot reverse the possibility of my attack since I am stronger than it," Aurora said dismissively, knowing that Aurolana had played her final card.
*cough*
*cough*
Aurolana coughed two mouthfuls of pure-white, holy blood as a small smile of victory crept onto her face.
"Are you sure that me getting attacked was the Possibility I wanted to reverse?" Aurolana asked smugly, finally allowing Aurora to come to a realization.
However, Aurora's enlightenment came a bit too late as the next moment a warp opened around her neck and shut close in an instant, taking her head along with it.
Another warp appeared in the air and Gabriella stumbled out looking worse for wear.
"I used the Tempora to reverse the possibility of Gabriella dying," Aurolana said, slowly pulling out the wing that had pierced through her body.
Aurora's body soon dissolved and another Aurora appeared a couple feet away from Gabriella and Aurolana.
"Are the both of you teaming up against poor me?" Aurora asked as a joke but garnered a serious reply from Gabriella.
"No… you sisters can battle… but I need to make sure that Zeel is not affected by our battle so if worse comes to be…
I will be here committing suicide," Gabriella stated, pulling a massive chunk of collapsium out of thin air.
The collapsium was so pure that Aurolana and Aurora froze in their places. Gabriella was constantly warping her hands to contain the collapsium's energy.
"[Spatial Lock]!" Gabriella whispered, closing off the entirety of Purgatory.
"Are you fucking crazy?" Aurolana asked, trying and failing to snatch the collapsium from Gabriella's hands.
Aurolana was careful not to try too hard, less she affects Gabriella's containment field that kept the collapsium in check.
"I brought you back to life to help me not kill me," Aurolana shouted hysterically knowing she should have predicted that a crazy person like Gabriella would do something crazy.
Even Aurora's face hardened and she didn't dare to move until the spatial lock had weakened.
The previously fighting sisters now started at the crazy Gabriella together but Gabriella was quick to dismiss their similar thoughts.
"Now the both of your fight to survive and whoever wins gets to serve Zeel along with me or we all die together," Gabriella said nonchalantly, warping some distance away to spectate the battle.

Dreams or Another World - Not a Zero (Update 09/19/21)
(Updated 09/19/21) Hello and welcome. If you made it this far and the book title sounds interesting, I'm hoping you'll read a few chapters. Here's a sample from chapter 1 of "Dreams or Another World - Not a Zero."Slowly starting to wake up, I become aware. It's like coming out of a fog.Head hurts.Body hurts. There's a conversation in the room. This isn't my bed. Someone is touching my arm. I crack my eyes to look. She doesn't notice. Is she praying for me? Her hands do feel good…do feel... Slipping back unconscious, my eyes slowly close. I didn't notice the soft green glow under Jenn’s hands.*******************"It does look like he saved them or at least stalled them long enough for us to get there." says the man dressed more like a park ranger than an officer of the law. "I did think he was part of it at first" he continues "but the evidence shows he wasn't there and they were certainly fighting on that back road where we found them""I don't care who he is." says a woman as she enters the room. "He saved and protected my Jenn. I will make sure there's not a mark or a scar on him before he leaves". As she continues the few steps over to the men speaking, even though dressed simply in common clothes, there is no doubt the race of elves is in her heritage. The grace and lines of her form. The elegance and lightness of her step. She glances at her daughter, still watching over the young man in the bed. "Do we know who he is yet?" she asks no one in particular."Not yet dear" a man in a white coat responds. A handsome middle-aged man. Fit, but not that of a fighter or ranger. "I asked Talon to bring another identification stone with him. I was hoping ours was just broke, but it's reading the same.""What do you think is wrong?" Talon asks."I'm thinking we just have to wait until he recovers. I have heard of cases where the stone didn't work. Powerful spells can hide or wipe a person clean. I doubt he's a spy or a criminal. Spells like that are just too high level if, they're used at all. My best guess is, there is just some disconnect with him being unconscious. When he wakes, we can ask him or use the stone again then."I find myself waking up in a hospital bed. The attending Doctor finds it odd that he cannot identify my class. An Officer says I’m a Hero for saving a girl from being kidnapped, but he’s asking too many questions for my liking. I know an accusing tone when I hear it. I don’t remember any of it and I need to find my way home.Author’s notes. Original work. First draft and update of chapters 1-16. Inspired by various fantasy games and books. Written with a focus on character development and interaction. Combat, progression, leveling, classes, but no numbers or stats. I’ll try to keep the language clean, PG-13, no smut. I’m in the US, writing in English. Almost fifty chapters are completed as I pen this introduction. I intend to complete this story or at least bring it to a proper ending. I have a destination in mind. I find as I write, doors and ideas open, while others close and are discarded. The tentative release schedule will be once a week. I'm new to creating. My apologies now while I learn. I have not settled on a book cover or artwork, still looking for something that fits. Registered & Protected #20VjeKDv2U6nynW6
