《The Crawford's Multiverse of Madness》Chapter 180 - Zeel's First Knockout

Not waiting for either Alice or Zeel to make the first move, The Kraken stretched its huge tentacle across the three-mile distance to attack them. It moved too fast for Alice to react.
She could only recall being next to Zeel at one point and the next moment she was smacked a couple of kilometers away, barely managing to steady herself using her forbidden Telekinetic abilities.
Deciding not to mind being smacked away, Alice used the momentum and spread out her senses to their limits.
Through her seismic sense, she felt the other beasts edging their way towards Zeel, who was trying his best to avoid the multiple tentacle shots being directed his way by the encroaching Kraken.
Alice was gobsmacked at the grace of The Kraken.
It moved in the void of space like one would expect it to move in the ocean. The tentacles, legs, arms… hell, the entirety of the body moved like a ballerina in her prime, performing on Broadway.
Alice felt a bit jealous that a beast so large could move with such grace when she herself was a rougher type of girl. Elizabeth always mocked her less than delicate performances in certain aspects of their relationship.
In Elizabeth's own words 'Sometimes you wear the pants in the relationship more than Zeel'.
Feeling that her senses had spread wide enough to feel all beasts aside from The Kraken.
Alice used her strongest Telekinetic Grip yet to drag all the other monstrosities towards her location a couple of kilometers away from Zeel.
From a third-person perspective, this would no doubt look like a little girl pulling mountains towards herself.
Pain rippled through Alice's body as she could feel her Telekinetic Energy being pushed out by her Divinities.
The task of pulling the beasts towards herself was by no means easy. Especially when Alice knew that this was the limit of her current capabilities.
Zeel and Alice should not be able to access their abilities due to the fragility of their divinities. Using any ability apart from their divinities could have dire effects on their future growth.
Any ability prior to godhood is erased upon taking the evolutionary step, this was because such abilities had a large chance of conflicting with your divinity.

The explosion was of course the most logical outcome when mixing two things that should not mix.
Alice and Zeel were still able to access their abilities because it came from their connection to Lorien in opposition to their own physical or metaphysical processes.
Still, using her telekinetic power while battling was a desperate move for Alice.
This was soon apparent as she coughed up a mouthful of golden-red blood.
When a god bled red blood it meant they were simply injured, but golden-red blood was an entirely different manner. This meant that their divine essence was being damaged.
Alice's goal had already been reached by the time of her injury so the price didn't bother her much. The beasts were already drifting towards her location unable to alter their path.
The beasts maneuvered their bodies to gain maximum momentum as if in competition with each other to make it to their appetizer first.
Seeing the couple dozen enormous beasts coming towards her position, Alice steadied herself with her anti-gravity boots as two swords were formed from the nanites in her body.
Hybrid Runes quickly carved themselves onto the body of the sword: Penetration, Sharpness, Energy Hold, Return, and Alter.
Penetration and sharpness were self-explanatory abilities. Energy Hold allowed the sword to accept Alice's and Zeel's divine energy without breaking apart immediately.
Return allowed the swords to return to wherever the user was. Alter was simply the manipulation of the sword's vectors.
The swords shimmered with a red and purple gleam. Pulsing with a mysteriousness that made the incoming beasts slightly hesitate.
The anti-gravity boots on Alice's feet gave off a massive blue light as she shot forwards, intent on clashing head-on against the incoming horde of mythical beasts.
The swords in her hand became lit with blue flames alongside her hair and eyes.
On Zeel's side of the space battlefield, things were a bit more unpredictable. The moment Alice dragged all the other beasts towards her location, Zeel took the chance to start his assault.
The tentacles of The Kraken shot towards his direction leaving blurred images that should have been impossible in the vacuum of space.
Zeel dashed towards the Kraken in the distance, using the tentacles shot in his direction as a gliding mechanism.

He looked akin to a surfer riding the waves that were the tentacles, but soon his face turned extremely ugly.
Zeel glided using the tentacles expecting the enormous frictional forces emitted by the anti-gravity boots to slice apart the tentacles he used to glide.
One had to know that the anti-gravity boots could slice apart a building with the blue light emitted, but alas reality was a bit different from his expectations.
Taking a look down, Zeel noted that his anti-gravity boots were severely damaged by the hardness of the tentacles.
"Fuck this shit is harder than diamonds," Zeel complained out loud deeply annoyed by the disadvantages constantly piling up during this battle.
Firstly, he took the beasts away from the Ocean into space to gain an advantage, but The Kraken could adapt to the environment almost immediately.
Secondly, Alice took away all the extra beasts to give him a one on one opportunity, but this just made things significantly harder.
Now, he couldn't even think of an attack that would cause any damage to the Kraken in front of him.
'At this rate, I'll have to use one of my trump cards,' Zeel mused to himself while dashing forward.
The nanites in his body were already repairing the anti-gravity boots faster than it was able to be damaged. Thank God for self-repairing technology.
Two swords materialized in Zeel's hands as he began spinning and slashing tentacles anywhere he could.
The Kraken squealed shaking the nearby space, but the injuries received were superficial at best
Zeel was about twenty meters from the head of the beast when it finally decided to start using its hands and feet.
But at that point it was too late, Zeel's body shimmered with transparent lightning disappearing from the tentacles and reappearing near the eye of the beast.
The swords were now joined together causing a singular sword to appear in Zeel's left hand.
The sword was blue and looked almost imaginary, but this did not stop Zeel from using the now three-meter sword to penetrate the left eye socket of the Kraken.
Zeel lengthened the sword further using his nanites as it penetrated the eye of the beast.
What followed was not a huge squeal like one would expect or a massive outbreak.
What followed was absolute silence, Zeel feeling the situation becoming eerier by the moment no longer held back in his escaping abilities.
Transparent lightning flickered across his body as he entered an entirely different time zone, but this seemed a bit too late.
Even after entering a time zone where everything and everyone should be in a near-frozen state, Zeel could see an enormous fist right next to his face.
Before he could react, Zeel was sent flying across space for a couple of kilometers directly clashing with Alice who managed to stabilize him after drifting a couple of miles.
A blue light trail could be seen in the void of space that indicated the amount of effort Alice's anti-gravity boots had undergone to stop Zeel's momentum.
Zeel's ears were ringing as his brain shook inside his skull. Hell, Zeel could even feel his soul quiver for a moment under the force of the earlier impact.
Maybe even dropping a building on his back would elicit less of a reaction than a punch from The Kraken.
'Where am I? Did I die? The fuck was that? Heaven or hell? Where is mommy?'
These were probably the thoughts currently running through Zeel's shaken brain. Alice did her best to withhold her laughter since Zeel was drooling and looking as if he was a certified retard at the moment.
The Kraken had literally knocked the sense out of him.
Usually, you would expect to see this behavior from a random guy that just got jumped and knocked out on the streets of Brooklyn, but Zeel got knocked out by an enormous Mythical beast with humanoid features.
'Even if we are gods, we can still experience the things a normal person should just on a larger scale,' Alice mused giggling at the situation.
"Congrats Zeel! You just got your first knockout," she said slapping Zeel a couple of times so he could wake up and solve the ever-increasing pressure now radiating from the angry Kraken.

Flap Merganser: Space Duck
This story began as joke to troll some dude on reddit, but I fell in love with the premise and kind of went crazy writing without any direction or planning. Luckily for me, I spent a couple months convinced I was dying and stepped away from the project. I'm not dying by the way, at least not any more than in the traditional sense. But during that period of inner turmoil, I was able to step back and realize I wasn't too thrilled with the direction this was going. So I have relaunched this project under the name Duck Around and Find Out. Some elements will be the same, and some early chapters may be pretty close to what was in the original draft, but I wanted to get into the action with a bit more haste. That being said, I'm going to leave this up here for now so that you can see how this whole project started. So read it if you want to. Or don't. I don't really care. I'm just happy I don't actually have a terminal cancer.
