《The Crawford's Multiverse of Madness》Chapter 171 - Unintentionally Using Divinities

The next morning, after everyone was awake, packed, and ready to begin the adventure.
The group set out, passing through a cave on a rocky surface that acted as a barrier to keep the coast separate from the inner zones of the island.
Hank, Sean, Gabato, and Kailani were appalled by the beauty witnessed after breaching the rocky outer barrier of the island.
Seeing anything for the first time would invoke a sort of ethereal feeling within human hearts, but this was not the case for Zeel since he witnessed such sights more than he would care to admit.
"Wow! The Mysterious Island," Sean said adding a couple of volumes to his voice for dramatic effect.
"It really is beautiful," Kailani whispered, a sentiment which was shared by all humans in the group, but Zeel and company had seen similar views more than they would like to admit.
Alice criticized herself for no longer finding beauty in the mundane, she had changed a fair deal since merging with a divine spark.
"We have a mission to complete so…" Zeel started saying before his voice trailed off.
Alice and Elizabeth who were familiar with his thought processes shot him some pointed glares.
They didn't even need to utilize their nanites connection to know that Zeel wanted to use Hank and the others to his benefit.
Someway…. Somehow, Zeel had the talent to use anyone or anything to his advantage – this was both a useful and disturbing ability.
Alice was not entirely against Zeel's plans but her divinities still compelled her to only hurt those who deserved it – a suitable excuse aside from her own conscience.
Alice's eyes glowed red for a moment, before turning slightly blue after staring at Hank, Gabato, Kailani, and Sean respectively "None of these guys are guilty. You can say they try to be the best humans they can. You're not allowed to touch them, especially with these restrictions in place. We don't know what it could do to us,"
Elizabeth nodded in agreement after noticing Zeel's curiosity increasing ever so slightly "Right now you guys are restricted and have no choice but to be goody-two-shoes about everything. I'll do the heavy lifting once again,"

"What are you guys talking about?" Hank asked trying to bring the focus back to the important topics "We are wrecked on this island; we need to find a way off,"
"Wait!" Sean interrupted as Kailani and Gabato were prepared to return to the coast "This island is unpredictable; it is preferred we stick together. Besides someone sent a signal from here so that must mean there is a radio somewhere on this island, we find it and use it to call for help,"
"Good point," Alice agreed, alongside Zeel and Elizabeth who then took out floating silver balls from their storage rings and tossed them into the sky.
"Find ruins, other people, abnormal animals, and anything normal," Zeel said.
The command he gave the silver-balls was incredibly vague, but this was just a show for the group of humans.
The codes flickering across Zeel's and Elizabeth's pupils were a fully detailed command that should be carried out by the silver-balls.
"Abnormal animals?" Sean questioned thinking the instructions were way too vague "Every animal or plant on this island is abnormal, it is The Mysterious Island after all,"
"We have very different definitions of abnormal," Zeel said waving his hand with a peculiar gesture.
The detectors dispersed throughout the island at speeds that shattered the sound barrier.
He preferred using runes at the moment but knew that utilizing dimensional energies on an island that once belonged to a god was a recipe for disaster.
Still, disasters were not a bad idea at this point in time, Zeel just had to wait until he achieved his objectives first.
Zeel, Alice, and Elizabeth began walking in three different directions like it was natural for the others to follow behind them.
This has always been a point of contention within the group – who is the true leader?
Of course, the most obvious answer is Zeel, but Alice and Elizabeth were also leaders in their own right.
Elizabeth and Alice backtracked and began following Zeel, the scene was very comical, eliciting brief chuckles from Hank, Sean, Gabato, and Kailani.
"Why this way?" Alice asked discontentedly, she was heading towards the area giving off the greatest energy signatures.

Elizabeth likewise was heading towards the direction where she felt the greatest concentrations of elemental energies since this island allegedly belonged to a god of the ocean.
Hence, wouldn't you go in the direction of the greatest water elements?
"You don't head towards obvious places when dealing with anyone who would hide an entire island away," Zeel said with disappointment evident in his voice, he began heading in a direction that seemed the most unremarkable.
There was no energy from the direction, no peculiarities, just the mundane.
The mundane on an island that once belonged to a god? Now that is more suspicions than anything else.
Elizabeth nodded realizing her blunder "Smart thinking, haha, we almost fucked ourselves yet again. Damn adventures are always tricky,"
Unlike the grimacing Alice, Elizabeth took criticisms as jokes on the surface but always managed to never repeat the same mistakes.
Zeel led the way with the group following behind. He stopped briefly looking around in confusion, all of a sudden, Zeel was blasted away shattering trees in his wake.
Everyone stood there appalled with Hank, and Sean believing Zeel was dead automatically from the sound of impact.
Alice and Elizabeth were surprised that something could come that close to them without anyone noticing or being the wiser.
Zeel, who was flying through the air, suddenly felt as if time had frozen to a crawl, with transparent lightning with blue outlines randomly appearing on his body every so faintly.
Then he could see clearer than ever before; he felt the lightning coursing throughout his body with great intensity which soon diminished significantly; still frozen in the air with a momentum that had him on a collision course with yet another tree.
Zeel flipped his body, setting his two feet on the tree. It was surprisingly easy to alter his momentum even in mid-air, he found that his body had entered an entirely different time zone.
Though Zeel also noticed that his energy was draining significantly faster due to entering a different time zone.
Just as Zeel was about to make his first step towards the ground, the tree shattered below his left foot as his right foot seemed to shatter a barrier and sank almost knee-length in a dimensional fissure.
Zeel realized that he may be the god of speed and dimensional travel, but that does not mean everything would be learned along with his ascension.
Then the feeling of lightning coursing through his veins stopped, the momentum came back with a vengeance as it sent Zeel spiraling through a couple dozen more trees.
Keep in mind that the trees on the island were enhanced over time by the unique energy present on the island.
Zeel felt the equivalent of slamming into metal tanks with each collision with a tree.
Alice's hands lit up with divine flames ready to pounce on whatever it was that blindsided Zeel, but before she could act, Elizabeth disappeared from her spot as she appeared above a huge Lizard.
For a moment, Alice thought Elizabeth had turned entirely into lightning.
The next thing the group witnessed was Elizabeth tapping the head of the dragon-like-lizard ever so slightly.
At first, everyone was confused about what the effects of such a love tap would be? It was just a second later that the enormous lizard exploded into clumps of blood and flesh.
"I supercharged the electrical signals inside its body. This dimension doesn't suppress my abilities from acting on a small scale regardless of density," Elizabeth said explaining what she had just done, but Alice was aware that her theatrics was more bragging than anything else.
Zeel soon came back limping slightly, his lack of embarrassment for the earlier incident could be mistaken for shamelessness had Alice and Elizabeth not know that he could not become embarrassed – at the very least not yet.
His divinities were speed and dimensional traveling, both of which were previously shown.
Speed with the transparent lighting coating his body causing the time zone to shift making everything else look as if it was frozen in time.
Dimensional Travelling was demonstrated with the way his right foot shattered the dimensional barrier and entered a dimensional fissure.
Zeel was not sure where his foot went but he could feel frostbite plaguing his limping leg.

It doesn't mean every scene will be funny or joyful because that's not how this stuff works. I can neither confirm nor deny having any other hidden agenda outside of that.
