《The Crawford's Multiverse of Madness》Chapter 157 - Locked Out

After about 2 hours of talking amongst themselves, the group: Alice, Zeel, Elizabeth, David, and Griffin, came to a sort of agreement.
Though the deciding factor was the fact that Elizabeth had killed Roland who murdered Griffin's parents.
Zeel could never understand why people placed such importance on family ties but also tried to be as understanding as possible towards people with such issues.
Zeel held no lingering attachment to any of his family members. Well, he was fond of his sister Catherine, but Zeel had little worries about her.
Catherine was the type of crazy that would always survive, Zeel had made sure of that himself.
Elizabeth's killing of Roland caused Griffin to show extreme affections towards her. She was smug about being liked by another boy instead of Zeel.
But her enjoyment was quickly dulled when she saw Zeel paying no attention to her.
Zeel had been getting increasingly annoyed since Alice had been avoiding him somewhat, while he was able to deduce the underlying reasons, this did nothing to quell the feeling of betrayal deep within.
"So we're descendants of a god who abandoned us and locked us out of our home, which is a dimension that exists parallel to this one?" Griffin summarized what he had heard during their discussions.
Griffin found the entire notion of god, and dimensions absurd but weren't jumpers also scientifically impossible from the normal person's perspective?
Unlike David, he was not naïve enough to think they were the only ones, he was aware that hundreds of jumpers were captured and used as breeding cattle, and experiments on the daily.
"You're basically a dog that …" Zeel was about to finish by saying 'was raised by a god to fetch when told,' but he was cut short by a glare from Elizabeth.
She was signaling him to choose his next words very carefully, so Zeel decided to phrase things a much friendlier way.

"No! You are probably descendants of his servants called travelers. You are too weak to be travelers because you can't jump between planets, hence why you're called 'jumpers'.
Now the pocket dimension is the home and alleged death place of a version of Hermes –God of travels.
Every time you guys jump you should feel a slight thug in an unknown direction, that is the pocket dimension calling you home, but for some reason, you're blocked out. We want to know why, and how to get in.
We get in and get what we want, you can have a home for your kind that you can never be blocked from since the forces will protect you," Zeel explained slowly so that Griffin and David, who only heard what was convenient to them, could understand thoroughly the heaviness of such a dimension.
This would be a safe haven for their people, but also the beginning of a struggle unlike any other.
"I see, but this is all just a theory right?" David asked for the sake of clarification, he was more inclined to make a half-ass attempt and after he fails, leave immediately.
"Yeah, why don't we test it, we are more atuned to spatial forces as prospective gods. So we just need to hijack your frequency and search for the direction of the dimension that you guys can't distinguish," Elizabeth stated, while Zeel and Alice also had the same idea briefly but dismissed it on technicalities.
Zeel sighed and was about to reject but Alice said "Worth a try!"
Zeel was silent for a moment more, after which slowly nodding his head "Let's go outside,"
After getting outside, Elizabeth instructed everyone to take up a formation that would be best suited to wormhole travels.
Pretty much all she needed to do was make sure that Zeel was in the central position since he could adapt to new situations the best.

"Zeel, Alice, and I need to be separate since we'll be using your frequencies to get access to the dimension, so we need you to distribute it out evenly. David and Griffin, you're on opposite ends of each other," Elizabeth instructed going so far as doing proper measurements and calculations, much to the surprise of Alice and Zeel who knew she was not usually this thorough.
Elizabeth was smart by the human standard but a bit dull by Lorien standard, which basically made her a retard by Zeel's standard.
Linking hands with each other in the sequence instructed by Elizabeth, everyone was prepared to try and access the Pocket Dimension that exists on a plane parallel to this world.
"Okay, ready? Now try to jump somewhere nearby, like that rock over there. I'll do the rest," Zeel instructed as he, Alice, and Elizabeth would attempt to target the nanosecond that they're between dimensions.
The ground started cracking, wind warping and the group's bodies started phasing in and out of existence for a moment before,
*wrrrp*
*crack*
The group disappeared from their location, entering a black void with blue energy swirling within, everyone seemed frozen in time except Alice and Zeel who made eye contact in an area that seemed to be a Dimensional Gap.
It was a weak artificial dimension gap so Zeel was not too worried but Alice was panicking a bit since she did not feel Zeel's memories and intentions as clearly as before.
However, when Alice saw Zeel was not panicking, she also calmed her mind and allowed their connection to wash over her body.
In an instant, she could understand the nature of this Dimensional Gap. It was weak but a Dimensional Gap nonetheless.
A dangerous place that nobody or nothing was restrained. Anything within a Dimensional Gap was fair game for anyone strong enough to take it.
Alice and Zeel's bodies stagnated as if trying to push against a barrier but barely making a dent, as they were pushed away, or rather what felt like being pulled away by a stronger connection tethered to David.
*Crack*
*Boom*
The group reappeared in Ann Arbor Michigan, in front of David's old house.
The resulting momentum gained from the collision with the previous barrier was so harsh that the ground caved in where they were standing.
"What happened?" Griffin asked holding onto his head "Felt like I hit something while moving very fast, but I just remember jumping directly here,"
Griffin's sentiment was echoed by Elizabeth and David alike, a man could be seen coming down the stairs to check on his front yard, all the nearby houses were also beginning to open up.
"Let's go!" David said as everyone jumped away back to the island in a hurry.
"David! David?" A man yelled as he made his way through his smoky, shattered front lawn.
"What was that?" David asked confused and angry at the headache he incurred.
"I am not sure, but we didn't have enough strength, either that or something pulled us back?" Zeel mentioned out loud, confused likewise by the way things transpired, for a brief moment, he thought things would work out since the barrier was not all that powerful given enough time to breach.
"Yeah, I felt like I could help somewhat by burning through the barrier but I felt even more suppressed than previously," Alice mentioned to which Elizabeth immediately jumped forward grabbing her hands and pleading "Don't! Don't use that power, you're in the ascending stage, not the actualization stage,"
"Let's try again, I need to get a feel for it to find out what went wrong," Zeel mentioned, feeling as if he was thinking of something he just couldn't grasp as yet.
