《The Crawford's Multiverse of Madness》Chapter 117 - Live Without Regrets

(John's POV)
Knowing I would be leaving the Earth soon to return to Lorien made me more nervous than I would care to admit. Everyone was off doing their own thing, saying their own goodbyes and I too had some regrets left on this planet.
I didn't want to be the guy who would regret things after he is old and grey, so I made it my mission to regret nothing ever again.
Everyone was up and about the base, so I decided to sneak into her room and prepare for my inevitable confession. Cindy and I had become really close over the past few months we've been together; to be honest I didn't think I could love again after Sarah.
Sarah, I still have a deep love for her but I also know it just isn't meant to be.
Zeel was right, A Lorien with a human is just another recipe for disaster. Just based on our lifespans was enough to have me realize this but fight not the acknowledge it as well.
I took the ring out of my pocket, something I had Alice make a few days ago.
I noticed the rainbow crystal on her finger, she took great pride in it since Zeel made it. I wouldn't be caught dead asking Zeel for anything; if you ask him to pass you a spoon he would find a way to use that against you later on.
Zeel is the type of person to get the maximum benefit from anything he does, a very dangerous individual to make an enemy.
I asked Alice if she could make one similar and after some time she agreed, so here we are. Though this ring is not as beautiful as the one Alice wears, I did use my one advantage to give it an edge – Lorien technology.

I had Alice make this ring using all the stones found in our Lorien Chests that were of no use to the grand plans of Zeel, the result was appalling.
The ring shifted between sky-blue and dark violet depending on the mood of the wearer; it also had the added benefit of aiding you to keep calm in stressful situations.
I carved a couple of Loric runes and charms on the surface of the crystal, giving it a unique mystery that anyone would want to unravel.
Don't get me wrong I was not planning to ask her to marry me or anything, but I want to show her the level of commitment I place to asking her out.
The door creaked open as Cindy came striding into her room, she was wrapped in a towel that just made her appear that much more alluring to me.
I sucked in a breath of air and calmed my beating heart, strange how I could keep calm in front of several Mogadorian blasters but I am unable to keep calm for an easy confession.
She paused the moment she saw me there, if it was anyone else she would have probably yelled but she instead gave me a questioning look.
I took pride in Lorien love since it could only be once in your life. As long as your spouse was alive, you could not fall in love with anyone else.
"I have loved and lost before, but with you, I feel whole again. I know how you feel about me, but I am not comfortable without making things official. As Lorien when we love, we do so forever and ever. So …." I did not finish the rest of my planned speech and decided to let my action do the talking.
Showing her the ring and getting on a knee, I could tell she loved the ring from the way she wouldn't stop looking at it.

"I am not proposing marriage or anything, this is to show you the extent of my promise to you. You deserve a better ring for when we do get married," I clarified as I saw she was a bit speechless that I also got on my knees.
Cindy looked at me for a couple more seconds before she burst into tears and snatched the ring from my hand faster than I could blink.
Women are truly amazing beings when they want to be, I couldn't even see her afterimage when she snatched the ring.
"I accept! I accept! Took you long enough," She said aloud after she fitted the ring on her index finger. She was jumping around like a little girl who got a new toy.
I breathe a sigh of relief since I was internally panicking at what her response would be. Guess there was nothing much to worry about in the end. As I was celebrating internally at the success of my confession, Cindy suddenly dropped her towel as she walked towards me seductively. I am not as flustered as I was experienced in this aspect.
I don't need to explain what happened next, it was an entire night filled with moans and groans, she surprised me with all her techniques.
I admit I was a bit concerned about where she learned it from given she was a virgin, the answer to which could only be two people – Elizabeth and Alice.
Great, now I wonder when Zeel will use this against me since he indirectly thought Cindy what guys like. Guess I will just have to owe him one and then avoid him like the plague.
The next day everything was chill, I was happier than I have ever been since coming to this planet. But one name popped into my head – Sarah. I am with Cindy now and I love her but it would be unfair to her if I act like I don't have another in my heart as well.
What followed was a lengthy conversation about everything that happened between Sarah and me, the details were vivid, with Cindy's request of course.
Cindy appreciated the choice Sarah made but didn't agree with it – just like me, I guess. Not wanting to leave regrets behind, the next day we went to Paradise Hills but couldn't find anyone, we spent the next couple of days searching for Sarah and Sam but to no avail.
It was a bummer but I was happy knowing Zeel kept up to his promise of keeping them out of harm's way, if even I couldn't find them then I guess they were just that well-hidden.

The Five Series - redemption
Book 1 - Redemption Three generations have passed since the last near-apocalyptic war. Civilization is beginning to thrive again at an ever increasing pace. The burden of society has been once again placed on the back of a massive robotic workforce, creating a huge divide between industrial glory, and those forced to live in its shadow. Many have stubbornly held onto the old ways of self-governance from back when the government fell, but with its return, life in Welan City is changing. Aaron, a middle-aged man, who is stuck in the rut of daily life, witnesses a murder and finds himself in trouble, love, and the middle of a highly secretive robotics project. Aaron stakes his life on helping a prototype survive, and pays for it dearly. Passionate hate, love, and indifference send life in Welan City spiraling out of control, leaving no one innocent in the end. The Five Series is, well, a series. I've completed 3 of the books so far and will finish with a fourth, maybe fifth book. Book 1 is heavy on the character development side while the following will be much more decision and consequence oriented. This story reaches into the soul of a person and the universe we live in. Some people deserve a second chance, and some do not. With that im mind, no one really ever gets what they deserve though, do they? Always tell the people you care about that you love them as often as you can, they could be gone tomorrow. Would that change if you could always bring them back? I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I did writing it. Cody

Monster Apocalypse
When the news started reporting strange changes of mankind, though the information was obviously controlled, it was enough to create commotion around the world. At first, it was only the subtle change of hair color, though it was strange, everyone accepted such a small change, some embraced it, some dyed their hair into normal colors. Afterwards, videos of people doing impossible feats surfaced onto the media, men lifting cars, women crushing walls, children jumping up to the second story of buildings easily. Then, humans started growing beast like appendages and features, horns and tails sprouted, though abnormally small, it was growing, regardless of the age or gender of the affected human. Despite the countless funds supplied into researching why, or how, did these features come to be, it proved to be fruitless. As those features grew, it became more defined, wings capable of carrying humans into the skies appeared, tails controlled by humans emotions sprouted to a certain length, and stopped growing. And on the last day, known as the beginning of the Monster Apocalypse, mankind grew wild.
