《The Crawford's Multiverse of Madness》Chapter 107 - Two Leashes For Zeel

"So send me the location and time," Zeel said to which Alice waved her hand over the holograms, separating the required information and projecting it to near Zeel's seat around the table.
Everything seemed very tech-savvy but all she did was made her intentions known through her nanites connection with Zeel. Every member of the Garde already had nanites integrated into their bodies, so manipulation of tech had become second nature to them; however, only Zeel, Alice, and Elizabeth had master nanites.
Master nanites could only be inherited through Zeel's blood. Even amongst Alice and Elizabeth, Zeel had the true master nanites that could lock them out of their respective abilities.
"There, now go wild. We, girls, will be doing our own things, so this is a mission for the guys," Alice said as she dragged Marina, Ella, Cindy, and Elizabeth away.
She had been planning some girl time since forever, but she feared what could happen if the stupid men were left alone for too long. What about Zeel? Alice knew he was exactly the problem – she allowed him to believe that she was not aware of the extra file he extracted from the cube along with the Temporal Engines.
Zeel also extracted a Project called 'Quasi Stellar Object'; Alice was waiting for the appropriate moment to confront him about it. Alice knew Zeel's tendencies all too well, if she asked too early, it would present a risk to his later plans.
"Okay, Vishnu I built you a vest that synthesizes Loralite from natural substances at a steady rate; meaning your teleportation is further strengthened, we'll be using you to get to the location after the bomb goes off.
John, you're the fastest after me so we'll go in together capture number 5, and kill any Mogadorians nearby, we have to finish this fast. Note that we're doing this with the assumption that the Mogadorians will be ready for us.

The AGES bomb cannot last forever. Thirty seconds maximum or the gravitational field will destabilize and take a huge chunk of the world with it.
Stanley, your job is to steal whatever has the greatest energy output. Number 5 wants to meet us in New Mexico so chances are his phoenix stone is near that location, possibly at the center of the energy readings on the satellite. Your job is to get in and acquire the phoenix stone, don't steal anything else since we don't know what is a trap and what's not.
Vishnu, then we'll use you to exit immediately after the mission is complete, if any of us is later than thirty seconds, we leave you there to die. Even if it is myself," Zeel said with great emphasis after finishing his planning. John, Vishnu, and Stanley could only roll their eyes at his last statement – you are obviously the fastest, hence the most likely to survive.
"Wait!" Stanley said.
Zeel replied, "Is anything unclear?"
Stanley slaps his forehead in exasperation "Of course it is, what is an AGES bomb anyway?"
"Oh, my bad!" Zeel said slapping his forehead as well "Well, there was a genius guy a long time ago on my home planet. So basically he said that a celestial body, depending on what gravitational forces act on the body, can alter time to a certain extent.
It was much more complicated and on a larger scale but what the AGES bomb does is apply the theory on a smaller scale. So it isolates the environment it hits within a fluctuating gravity field, the environment acts as a separate celestial body removed from the Earth's gravitational fields. This, in turn, slows time down to a near a crawl,"
"Wait! Two big fucking questions. Theoretically means it might now work right? And wouldn't time be slowing affect us as well?" Stanley points out as he hated the plan ever since the girls said they would not partake. Now he knew the reason why Alice avoided this mission like the plague. Zeel obviously was using the guys as a huge experiment.

"Yeah, could fail but hey, maybe it won't and that's why Vishnu is transportation. John and I will be doing the fast work unless you guys think you are weaker than a Mogadorian and their Garde dog?" Zeel asked provokingly.
"Nah, with all the good stuff here, we are definitely stronger, along with our heritage unlocking," Stanley pointed out, a bit pumped to test his metal since the awakening of his Felian heritage.
The physical enhancements were appalling enough, but Zeel did not teach them their cultural language as yet. However, even regular words in any language were destructive, so the group could only imagine the destruction that their native tongue would cause.
"Okay, everyone gear up! The meeting time is in a couple of hours, so we'll head out an hour after the meeting time," Zeel said.
"Why an hour after though?" Stanley and Vishnu looked confused at how Zeel came up with the appropriate time to carry out their plans.
Both John and Zeel shake their heads in mock exasperation as if they pitied the poor souls of Vishnu and Stanley, who had yet to experience the wonders of the world.
John then nods in a sagely-manner and sits cross-legged on the ground, while also inviting Vishnu and Stanley to do the same "You're young, and still have yet to understand the inner workings of the world. You never show up on time for anything unless it is a booty call from a hot chick; even then depending on the hotness on a scale of 1 to 10, you should show up a couple of minutes earlier,"
After John concluded Zeel nodded his head in an agreeing manner, looking no less sagely than John. Vishnu and Stanley acting as if they had been enlightened began meditating to further their way on the path of 'times appropriate to show up for booty calls', and 'what types of girls would be worthy of booty calls'.
The hub went silent as each guy was in their own contemplation about women.
Meanwhile, in a separate room, Alice and the girls were watching the guys and hearing their discussion via nano cameras placed in the conference room.
"This is why the humans of this earth say 'Men are dogs'," Alice said as she finished her lesson to Cindy, Marina, and Ella who are considering relationships with John, Vishnu, and Stanley respectively.
"Doesn't that mean that Zeel is also a dog?" Ella asked innocently.
"Yes, a big one. That's why he is chained by two leashes," Elizabeth replied with deep meaning but it was not grasped by Ella, Marina, or Cindy.
"Hey Marina are you listening?" asked Alice when she saw Marina was scrolling on the nearby hollo-projector.
Marina said in a serious voice "You said I need leashes so I am looking for the best ones to order,"
Crickets sounds could be heard, after which a laughing session broke out inside the room.

A Nation of Distances (possibly a dystopian love story)
Michael lives in a toxic macho world with extreme male hierarchy. When he gets a weird rating that makes his place even more problematic he's forced to choose a fiancée at a Wife School, and he slowly discovers more about the other side of the great divide between the sexes in The Nation. If only the world would stop being so complicated... On the other side there's Megan, who's more interested in books than in marriage, and the unpredictable Eliza who seems to have a connection with Micheal already. Will they be able to cross the distance and become friends against all the rules of their own world, or will they just be crushed? Are positive relationships between men and women even possible? And is there a way to change the world or is that just a naive thought of a silly wimp? 'A Nation of Distances' is a slightly dystopian dialogue-heavy drama set in a low sci-fi future setting about the war between the sexes, disconnect and friendship. The genre will fluctuate in between more slice-of-life parts and soft sci-fi drama with possible romantic elements, with alternating lead and switching perspectives once more of the main characters are established. Content Warning: Certain concepts and scenes might be disturbing and/or triggering to some, even though the story itself won't be extremely heavy most of the time. Sexism as a double-edged sword destructive to both sexes is an important part of the story, but so is friendship.Note that all descriptions of persons and places are purely fictional and made up by the writer, and any resemblance with anything in the real world is a coincidence, since the real world is not supposed to be dystopian anyway!
