《The Crawford's Multiverse of Madness》Chapter 81 - Zeel Meets Elizabeth

Turning the next corridor, Zeel and Alice paused for a moment before making eye contact and inching their way ever closer to the walls.
Zeel pointed towards the ceiling as Alice ran towards him, Zeel boosted Alice into the vents above their heads.
Then five Mogadorians came into the corridor from the classroom doors, Zeel acted immediately unsheathing his sword and running towards the first of the five.
John hid in a nearby corridor not willing to risk Sarah's life in a battle at the moment.
Zeel sliced through the first and second Mogadorian but was barely able to block the ionic beam shot by the others.
Zeel's superhuman physique was not extraordinarily effective against Mogadorians who had skin as hard as rocks.
Alice broke through the vents above their heads and did a slicing gesture with her finger.
A fine line, barely enough to see, appeared on the wall; slicing in half the Mogadorian hiding behind it.
Alice repeated this movement two more times, each time killing a Mogadorian before they could even realize what had happened.
This technique took a lot of out Alice since it took great control of her ability.
By the time Alice finished with all her slices, the wall collapsed like a paper cut by scissors. Blood spurts all over the area, as the Mogadorians were bisected.
A door exploded from behind them drawing the attention of John, Alice, and Zeel for a brief moment.
But this distraction was long enough for two Mogadorians to jump out of their hiding places and begin firing several shots at the group.
John attempted to block the shots with telekinesis but the power was too much and sent him flying away.
As the Mogadorians were about to fire another shot, Zeel vanished from his spot appearing next to one of the Mogadorians and slicing him in half.
On the other side, a bluish blur appeared followed by a 19-year-old, blonde-haired, 5"9, light-skinned girl with a dagger in her hand.
The girl named Elizabeth pierced the dagger straight into the heart of the Mogadorian. Zeel was confused about her method of travel because he could not sense her at all.
As both their targets turned to dust, Zeel and the girl looked at each other briefly, before turning their eyes away from each other – neither cared to admit it but the moment their eyes met, they could feel their legacies resonate with each other.

For Elizabeth, this was a phenomenon that should only occur when two Lorien were destined for marriage, but for Zeel this was akin to giving him confirmation on a long suspected aspect of the legacies – he was being manipulated.
Ever since Zeel obtained the legacies, he could tell that he was forgetting something very important.
At first, he assumed it was knowledge stored in the Forbidden Cube, but after careful investigation of the stars, all suspicions were confirmed.
Zeel was able to pinpoint the name of the star he always looked at in the night sky – it was planet Lorien.
The pain in his chest had greatly eased since he obtained the power of the legacies, he was also thoughtless about the seal placed on his soul.
The seal the Cosmic Being placed on him has been alleviated to an extent by the power of Lorien, but the power also blocks him from thinking of the seal placed on him.
It was as if Lorien was actively trying to alter his memories somewhat, and since a planet cannot do that.
This meant that Lorien was also a Cosmic Force. A weaker Cosmic Force, but a Cosmic Force nonetheless.
Not giving him a chance to think any further, Alice appeared between Zeel and Elizabeth eyeing them both before setting her sights on Elizabeth and asking "Who are you, how did you get here?"
Though Alice hid it well, Zeel could still see the strange light flickering in her eyes.
Alice was using the nanites to know every individual atom that constituted Elizabeth's body. This was a quantum scan of the nanites that were reserved for really strong enemies.
'Why would Alice use it for someone only slightly stronger than John?' Zeel questioned himself.
John and Sarah came running over just in time to hear the conversation between Alice, Zeel, and Elizabeth.
"It'd be a good idea, cowboy if you kept your relationship off the Internet," Elizabeth said to Zeel, but her voice carried a certain teasing tone to it.
"Who are you?" asked Alice once again.
"Number Six," Elizabeth said staring at Alice appraisingly.
Elizabeth felt a strange need to assert dominance over Alice, but she felt subdued by Alice's very being.

"Number Three," Alice said pointing to both herself and Zeel "And Number Four," she said pointing to John.
"Where is your protector?" Elizabeth asked.
"At home a mansion near here, though I suspect there is being attacked as well," Zeel replied as his nanites confirmed his suspicions.
"Oh, mine is dead. Been that way for a long time," Elizabeth replied as if the death of her Cêpan had nothing to do with her.
"Have you been tracking the Mogadorians?" John asked.
"Yeah. Lucky for you, I saved your ass," Elizabeth replied feistily.
"You should be watching your own ass," John replied though his tone lacked the confidence it should have had.
"Mogs have all the exits covered. Looks like you're gonna have to fight to get out," Elizabeth said as she flashed a look at everyone before settling her gaze on Zeel "Are you all game?"
"Yeah. Wasn't gonna do it any other way," Alice replied standing in front of Zeel in a defensive manner. Though her nanites were still scanning Elizabeth thoroughly.
"There's a tunnel under the school that leads to the stadium," Sarah butted in.
"Unless there is that way," Zeel replied as he wanted to avoid battle if he could.
"Oh, you made friends. How nice," Elizabeth said as she looked at Sarah a bit disappointed.
John may not have remembered Lorien, but as a higher species, Elizabeth felt an innate disgust for humans.
It was not much but it was still prevalent in all beings of higher evolutionary status.
This innate feeling was similar to how a human would feel superior to horses, rats, and even animals in general.
"Got any other legacies we should know about?" Zeel asked the strange girl Elizabeth.
"Stay tuned babe. I wouldn't want you to miss any of my moves," Elizabeth replied throwing Zeel a wink much to Alice's annoyance.
Moving on, the group fought off a couple of Mogadorian stragglers and scouts until they ran into Sam Goode.
Sam explained the huge monsters he had seen, then as if flipping a switch, he started fawning over Number 6 who called him a 'tool' with indifference.
*Boom*
The walls shattered open as Mogadorians came storming through with their ionic blasters shooting shots galore.
Zeel, Alice, John, and Elizabeth moved in the blink of an eye.
Zeel used his TechnoMancy on the chairs shattering the legs off and changing them into spikes; shooting them at the oncoming Mogadorians.
In the distance, Alice could be seen manipulating daggers in a circular pattern, mowing down any Mogadorian that dear step too close to her.
John using his dagger and CQC kills to mow down the invaders. Sam and Sarah just watched from afar, unable to keep up with the speed and skills being shown.
*Boom*
A grenade exploded and Elizabeth was thrown in Zeel's direction.
He pulled components from nearby containers, alongside his nanites, and made a pair of anti-gravity boots, meeting Elizabeth in the air.
Zeel caught Elizabeth and, in a spinning motion, began sending daggers in all directions to oncoming Mogadorians.
Using the built-up momentum, Elizabeth leaped out of Zeel's arms and in a flash of blue blur disappeared and reappeared on the opposite side, beheading three Mogadorians.
At the moment, everyone was beginning to feel comfortable. Everyone was assured of their inevitable victory.
Of course, Alice and Zeel became even more prepared, since the moment you let down your guard, shit happens.
As if on cue, two monsters came crashing through the windows. Alice used her telekinesis to freeze one of the monsters in place, giving the other monster time to bite its neck killing it.
John was about to attack but Elizabeth stopped him and said "It's a chimera, your chimera,"
"Yup that's Bernie Kozar, John," Alice added looking at the Chimera appraisingly.
Alice had a certain appreciation for animals. Especially, those rare and close to extinction.
"Okay let's go where is the exit?" Zeel asked Sarah as he was eager to leave this godforsaken school.
He could not handle more surprises and monsters for a while.

To help make my job easier I am using dungeons written by other people, which is why I have listed this as a fanfiction. I put links to all of them in the chapters where they are relevant.)

The carnomancer
Jackson was but a normal american just looking to get by in life. unfortunately for him life had other plans as a terrorist bombing took place in the air port in london where he was getting off at. The resulting explosion killed him instantly, and now he has been reincarnated into the world of Rokna. In this new world of magic, monsters, and conflict join him under his new identity Adimir freelancer the adventurer half-elf as he seeks a way to live out an exciting life of researching new and creative ways of combining magic and science. But with a tyrannical empire beginning to prepare for a bloody war the signs of turmoil begin to loom on the horizon. Adimir will face numerous challenges. Both challenges to those native to this world, and against other people have come from earth. Author's comment: I'll be uprfont with you on the entire war thing that the description hints at. Yes it will eventually happen, and many of the strange and out of place things in the beginning will tie into that. Not that it will be explained until much later in the novel. In fact the first 100 or 200 chapters will be spent on the main character growing stronger as an adventurer before the entire war even begins to start rearing its ugly head. So for those eager for the war to kick off sorry, but there won't be a big explosive war so early. At least not with the empire (although if you read carefully you may be able to pick up signs of how close the war is with what happens in the story). But the wait (I hope) will be worth it as it will be diving into some of the stuff a otherworlder in a significant position of power could do with the right knowledge. With that little warning over with I hope you enjoy this novel of mine. Its my first actual attempt at writing a story for people to read so please keep that in mind. If you have any criticism please tell me. I'd love to read them and will be using them to help me in improving my writing quality as time goes on. Experience is the best teacher after all.
