《The Crawford's Multiverse of Madness》Chapter 55 - Original Issacs

After listening to the information of the Red Queen, Alice and Zeel made their way through the air ducts, crawling at amazing speeds.
Alice would send out pulses that aided in them avoiding many traps, at one point, the bottom of the duct opened up and Zeel would have fallen through had it not been for Alice.
"Almost died," Zeel said jokingly.
"You know such a fall would have done nothing to you," Alice responded as she rolled her eyes at Zeel.
While the two were having their daily dose of bickering, all vents closed off as green gas seeped through crevices filling the vents to the point of saturation.
This strategy was of no use as Zeel and Alice could function without oxygen for upwards of four hours without excess physical exertion.
The duo simply shattered the vent with their strength and continued forward without much trouble.
However, they became more cautious moving forward.
Not long after moving forward, the sides then opened up separating the two as Alice went left, and Zeel went right.
This was of little concern as both could feel through their connection that they were only a couple of rooms apart.
It was not an effective idea, separating two people that could locate each other at all times and feel the intention of the other from great distances.
Dropping into an abandoned corridor, Zeel wasted no time as he landed on his feet.
He immediately started planting explosives wherever he could. This place had many bad memories for both Alice and himself; hence the sooner it collapsed, the better.
After planting as many explosives as he could, Zeel jogged over to Alice's compartment, kicking the door off its hinges only to see her floating a monster into the air and piercing it numerous times.
Zeel could swear he had never seen her this beautiful in his entire life.

Had Alice heard this thought, she surely would have found it creepy yet sweet.
The monster was similar to the hunters they encountered from time to time, though if Zeel had to describe this monster, it would be along the lines of Hunter 2.0.
"Nice one," Zeel said as he approached her while clapping slowly.
"Easy, since I started working on controlling my ability," Alice replied as she also approached Zeel.
"Come on we have to hurry", Alice said as she was about to attach herself around Zeel's waist for a passionate hug.
Zeel slowed his perception of time at that moment, unsheathing his sword from his back, Zeel struck swiftly beheading Alice without even blinking.
"You can't pretend to be her, I can feel her but I can't feel you," Zeel mumbled to himself as he watched the cloned body of Alice slowly decomposing.
It was clearly an unstable clone that was meant to ambush him the moment his guard fell.
Zeel paid no more attention to the dead clone as he made his way to the door of the conjoining room.
"Let's go," Zeel replied passing by the real Alice.
"You took a couple of seconds to figure it out," Alice commented since she had been watching the entire incident earlier, she was genuinely curious about what he would do.
"I was not hesitating; I was affording her the freedom of choice," Zeel said as he stared into Alice's eyes "I offer all Alice's the freedom of choice,"
Alice shuddered briefly.
How could she not understand the implication behind those words? Choose wrong and I will kill you!

Meanwhile in Wesker's office.
"If the unknowns proceed at this current speed they will arrive here in six minutes," The Red Queen notified Wesker.
"Wake them!" Wesker shouted.
"I was told only to do so…"

However, she could not finish that statement as Wesker said "Just do it and wake them,"

Alice and Zeel then reached a familiar part of the Hive. This was the location most of the previous response team died.
Both Alice and Zeel began having a flashback of memories.
Alice then went to the side and picked up the bag of guns they had left behind at that time.
"Want any?" she asked Zeel, offering him the bag of guns, though mostly she meant to offer him the explosives.
"Don't need them, but should take some explosives and knives," Zeel replied as he found some good equipment amongst the roughly degraded guns.
They both stood in front of the computer as Zeel put his hand in front of the mainframe, then with a click, the ground began lowering at a rapid pace.
Zeel was not startled that another layer was present beneath The Hive, after all, the last time he was here, his nanites had just activated.
The duo could see all the Cryo-chambers present on the countless levels as they descended lower and lowe below The Hive.
"There should be thousands of them," Alice said amazed that there were so many people left alive.
It almost made her feel that all the time she spent destroying Umbrella bases were meaningless, she could have just destroyed The Hive.
"Cryogenic storage, I did a similar thing to my mom when I shot her," Zeel said after examining all the sleeping Umbrella High Command around.
He noted that a large majority of them were kids or teenagers – clearly there for fertility purposes.
"Minimum Viable Population," Zeel said as he looked at the chambers "Destroying all these people will make repopulating the world that much more difficult, and it is incredibly illogical,"
"Your point is?" Alice asked.
"My point is, not everyone here is guilty. Can you kill all these kids just to take down The Umbrella High Command?" Zeel asked sparing Alice a brief side glance, before deciding to change the topic "Where I come from Cryogenic chambers would only be used when you're leaving for deep space travel, other than that we use stasis chambers as it also allows you to strengthen and nourish your skin and muscles while inactive,"
"Give it to me," Alice said to which Zeel handed a bag full of explosives.
Alice began putting her abilities to good use; the explosives began to float in the air and shoot off in different directions, attaching themselves to nearby cryogenic storage units.

Meanwhile, Wesker was talking to the newly awakened Original Isaac.
"We had a problem," Wesker said.
"I know exactly what's wrong, we've been betrayed. Wake her up," Isaac replied as he gestured towards the projection of The Red Queen.

Zeel and Alice arrived on the lowest floor and had to take a moment to appreciate the intricate technological designs of everything surrounding them.
The duo walked through a corridor and into an underground cave system. Then a walkway slowly rose from below the water as if inviting them to venture farther.
The two then began walking into a luxurious looking room.
Zeel unsheathing his sword and Alice with a knife in hand and one floating above - blending in with the ceiling.
Similar to Zeel's burst technique, this was Alice's own technique – hidden daggers; she could float certain objects higher than anyone could see and maneuver them without anyone being the wiser.
The duo was too occupied moving forward that they failed to notice two Cryo-chambers opening to their right.
Zeel had become careless since his plan thus far had not failed.
