《The Crawford's Multiverse of Madness》Chapter 40 - Falling To You

Zeel determined the direction he should descend.
He then orientated himself downwards like a diving eagle, allowing his body to tilt ever so slightly to the left.
He kept this position for about five minutes. Zeel felt as if he would never reach the ground at this rate.
After re-opening his eyes, Zeel could see a faintly discernible red dot a couple of miles below.
With his enhanced vision, Zeel could see it was a two-seater plane.
Zeel could also tell that both seats were already occupied, but he could care less.
Alice would probably forgive him for throwing out whoever was in the back.
If that wasn't an option, Alice herself could just hop out since telekinesis meant she could never die from a fall.
At first, the connection between himself and Alice was very strong.
Zeel was certain beyond any reasonable doubt, that it was Alice in the plane. But the closer he got, the more the nanites signal rejected his connection.
It didn't make sense. How could the signal become weaker, the closer he got?
Zeel was now at a point where he could see the plane in all its glory. It was indeed by two passengers, but he could not tell who the second person was.
For a brief moment, Zeel was considering taking the plane for himself.
The closer he got, the less certain he was about to pilot being Alice.
If Alice was not in the plane, then he could just take the plane in its entirety.
He dove toward the red plane, hoping for the best outcome. Of course, this hope was not for himself, but for the passengers inside the plane.
*whoosh*
*whoosh*
Zeel could feel the wind blowing in his hair. A few droplets of blood would escape the wound on his head once in a while.
The cut was rapidly healing but the wind caused some resistance.
Zeel would feel thrilled at the feeling of sky-diving if he was not so desperate to survive.

Coming up on the red plane, Zeel entered an arch position. He carefully avoided sensitive areas like the propellers.
His aim was the left-wing of the plane but failed miserably as the plane tilts out of the way.
Zeel could hear faint sounds of two women arguing inside the plane. With his enhanced hearing, he could hear the duo debating whether to grace him with a chance of survival.
His eyes turned cold for split second, but his intuition warned him to not take drastic action. By now he had drifted below the plane.
Zeel once again assumed the arch position, allowing the drag to once again take him above the plane.
This time the red plane moved toward his location. At first, the duo inside were eager to fly away, but now they were extending a helping hand instead.
Zeel was confused for a moment but decided to consider the pilot as 'Bipolar' since she obviously couldn't decide if she wanted to help him or not.
At this point, Zeel was 60% certain that the pilot was one of Alice's defective clones.
Not losing the opportunity that could be reconsidered at any moment, he grabbed onto the right-wing this time.
Zeel rotated his body, allowing the winds to act as a cushion. This helped lessen the burden on the wing, while also allowing him to breathe freely.
Zeel examined his body, noting that he resembled a beggar right now. The Amazon soil still smeared on his face.
Zeel comforted himself with the fact that his hair should appear really beautiful right now. The sunset would complement the silver-white color of his hair.
After taking a couple of breaths, Zeel showed an ok sign to the girls inside the plane.
After a period of observation, Zeel was sure the pilot was indeed Alice. But she seemed mentally burdened for some reason.
At the moment their eyes met, they both smiled but Zeel noticed that Alice seemed significantly weaker than he remembered – she almost seemed like a normal human.

Zeel continued keeping his position for a couple of minutes before the plane starts traveling through a fallen, major city.
One building, in particular, drew their interests. It had survivors at the top, while miles and miles of zombie hordes surrounded the building.
Had he still been traveling alone, Zeel would have no doubt thanked the group for their donation.
But he could no longer be as unruly as previously, Alice was staring at him intently from within the plane.
'Fuck, I need to start using morals again,' Zeel began cursing himself inwardly. He didn't miss this aspect of Alice's personality.
Zeel looked inside the plane to see Alice pointing down. He gave her a thumbs up.
This was their usual scouting habits. Zeel would check inside, scope out threats and Alice would join him in eliminating targets.
But this time Zeel made a slightly stupid mistake.
Zeel was captivated by seeing Alice after an extended period of time. He completely forgot about his injuries, but at that point, it was too late for regrets.
Looking up from the building, the group below saw a red plane with a man holding onto the wing. They would be surprised, but everyone had witnessed a lot during the apocalypse.
But what happened next startled even the most experienced survivors. All of a sudden, the man detached himself from the plane and fell straight down.
Luther thought the guy would miss their building for sure, but several acrobatic moves later Zeel was right above their heads.
At first, they thought he slipped and would fall to his doom, but Luther was the first to notice that the crazy guy was actually using sky diving technique to maneuver himself onto the building they were at.
"Oh my God,"
"What the fuck!"
The group cursed infinitely thinking that the red plane was planning to drop a zombie on their roof.
This was the apocalypse, so such tactics have probably been used before on many occasions.
Still, the group was comforted by the fact that no matter how strong a zombie, it would still fall to its death given the height of descent being around 300 to 400 feet.
With a *boom* and *crunch* the man landed on the roof.
Zeel had minor wounds on his legs after the fall.
The group could not make out his facial features since it was clouded by blood. But if his silver-white hair was any indication, then no doubt this guy was beyond handsome.
Zeel shakily stood up and did a quick scan of those on the roof.
Using every profiling technique, Zeel was able to identify the threat level of everyone on the roof in an instant.
This was further supported by the information he hacked from The Umbrella Corporation's Private Servers.
After he finished securing the ground, Zeel turned his eyes up to the plane only to see Alice circling back around.
He signaled, indicating it was safe to land. Alice did one last spin around the building before she began the descent. Zeel noted that she was coming in a bit too fast.
This would normally be nothing short of suicide. But with Zeel below, Alice was comforted enough to attempt suicide a couple of times over.
Alice knew Zeel would never allow her to die a meaningless death.
Zeel on the ground could vaguely recognize Alice's thoughts at that moment.
He was a bit weirded out by the thoughts in her head. Alice had obviously been severely lacking in social interactions over the past couple of months.

Is It Too Late To Move My Lair?
A legendary dragon... It has been told in the stories for hundreds of years. Some say it keeps a mountain of treasure in its cave, some say it is a vicious beast, some say it protects the village nearby, some claim it can grant their wishes, and some just think it's nothing more than a fairytale. He is not. The dragon is very real, although he isn't bothered by what people think of him in the slightest. He also doesn't have a grand treasure, nor does he grant wishes, like a magical genie. He is not interested in eating humans either. And as for protecting them… well. This is the story of the time before the legends, how they came to life and a dragon in the quest of his snooze. In a nutshell, this is a simple, light-hearted story with a dragon in it. What I have in mind is a relatively short one compared to most of the works on this site, but we'll see where it goes. This is my first attempt at writing something like this, so please be patient and kind in pointing out mistakes. As for the posting schedule... let's say it will be sporadic. Hope you enjoy reading, as much as I do while writing it… THE STORY IS NOT DROPPED, JUST SLOW ON THE UPDATES. Cover art by Nane, aka me. (Cross-posted on Scribble Hub.)
